Fitted on the finder eyepiece of the 67 Pentaprism
or 67 TTL Pentaprism, this eyepiece magnifies the
central portion of the screen about 2.3X, enabling
you to focus very precisely. The built-in diopter
adjustor enables those far-or near-sighted to see
the viewfinder clearly. The hinged magnifier can be
raised as shown in the photo to view the entire
focusing screen.

While looking through the magnifier, point the
camera to a bright blank object like a white wall
and turn the diopter adjusting ring until the border
line between the microprism and the matte field
can be seen clearly. When adjusting the diopter,
do not focus on a subject.

Screwed in to the viewfinder eyepiece of the 67
Pentaprism or 67 TTL Pentaprism, the angle of the
viewfinder can be adjusted to 90”. Designed to
rotate 360°, it is useful in any situation where it is
difficult to see your subject with normal eyelevel
viewing. It provides exactly the same image at
approximately 1X magnification that you normally
see in the Pentaprism's / TTL Pentaprism's view-
finder. Furthermore the built-in diopter adjustor
enables those far-or near-sighted to see the view-
finder clearly.

Rigid Magnifying Hood
Waist-level Viewfinder System
After removal of the Pentax 67 pentaprism, the
camera can be used as a waist-level viewfinder sys-
tem. However, sharp focusing is impossible due to
ambient light. To correct this impairment, the Folding
Focusing and Rigid Magnifying hoods are effective in
shielding the focusing screen from ambient light,
enabling you to use the camera as a waist-level
system. These hoods also allow the use of vertical
copy stands and low-height tripods. The Folding
Focusing Hood can be folded and is therefore portable.
The Rigid Magnifying Hood is provided with diopter
adjustment,

Fuego Focusing Hand
Remove the pentaprism and attach this hood by fol-
lowing the steps below. Note the image is seen lat-
erally reversed when using this hood.
1. As shown in photo 1, open the hood by raising the
rear part with your thumb until the side flap of the
hood is placed in vertical position. The focus
magnifier will automatically be projected in place.
2. Focus the lens on the subject. To get a full view of
the focusing screen, lift up the magnifier and push
it forward as shown in photo 2.
3. To fold the hood, place the magnifier in its original
position and then push the front and rear of the
hood with your fingers. This will fold the hood to
its original position.
Rigid Mlagnifying Hood
Remove the pentaprism and attach this hood. Note
the image is seen laterally reversed when using this
hood.
® How to adjust the Diopter
1. Rotate the diopter adjustment ring as shown in
photo 4 until the subject in the focusing screen is
sharply focused.
2. After adjusting the diopter, correct the position of
the eyecup. The eyecup is fixed in place by three
SCrews.
