One piece case with two convenient drain plugs for winterizing and built-in base for quieter operation.
High Suction Port for faster self-priming.
Ring-Lok™ access allows "no tool entry."
Patented air-cooled heat sink allows pump to run dry without damage to shaft seal.
Floating eye seal between closed impeller and diffuser maximizes efficiency.
High performance impeller/diffuser powerful enough to operate a filter and a pool cleaning system without a second pump.
Self priming hydraulic design provides suction lift up to 10' above water level.
180 cubic inch strainer basket with offset rib design ensures full flow, even when basket is fully loaded.
Maximum water temperature 104ºF.
Energy Saver motors (1/2 hp - 3 hp) are standard on single speed units.
Exclusive flap allows full flow through the strainer basket when the pump is running, but restricts reverse flow in the system when the pump turns off. The "flap" will help:
• Prevent debris in the pump strainer and in the skimmer basket from flowing back into the pool.
• Prevent dirt and debris in the filter from flowing back into pool.
• Prevent residual hot water in the heater from flowing into the filter and causing damage to grids, valves, gaskets, etc.

Built in tool on Ring-Lok™ allows to easily disengage lid fromtank bottom.
Modular grid assembly allows easy removal for inspection and cleaning.
Straight vertical grids reduce bridging for more uniform flow during filtration and backwash.
Exclusive "Earthshake" regeneration allows you to extend the filter cycle.
Top mounted grid manifold is designed to purge trapped air and insure 100% grid utilization.

FILTER CONVERSIONS
Swimming Pool Filters
If you have a SherLok™ Element Filter that you want to convert to an
Avalanche™ D.E. filter, follow these steps:
1) Replace element filter with AV grid cassette assembly.
2) Replace yellow SherLok air bleed valve knob without o-ring on top of tank with
Avalanche handle and Avalanche air bleed knob with o-ring boot.
3) Replace SherLok data label with Avalanche data label.

FILTER CONVERSIONS
Element to D.E. or D.E. to Element
If you have a Tri-C.L.O.P.S.™ Element Filter that you want to convert to
EarthWorks D.E. filter, follow these steps:
1) Replace Tri-C.L.O.P.S. elements, standpipe supports, manifold, manifold retainer knob, and washer with EarthWorks™ manifold grid assembly, dial valve, dial valve spring, dial valve handle, spring adhesive washer, and dial valve kno b.
2) Replace Tri-C.L.O.P.S. data label with EarthWorks data label.
Note: Tri-C.L.O.P.S. retainer knob o-ring and EarthWorks dial valve o-ring are identical. Order a replacement if the original part is misplaced or needs replacing.
