Getting Started
Remove the throw from the box,
Remove any packaging from the product.
Place packaging inside the box and either store or dispose of safely.

Ensure that the mains supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating label.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) who are not
mentally able, physically capable, expenenced or do not understand the product.
They should be given supervision and instruction in the use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Do not use the throw with young children, the infirm or any person who is insensitive
to heat
Avoid extended use of this product as a build up of heat could cause over-heating
of the body (heatstroke),
Do not use the throw folded or tucked in.
[Do not crease the throw.
Do not insert pins in the throw.
Do not use if wet
This product should be checked regularly for damage to the throw, the controller
or the cord. If there are any concems the product should be checked by a qualified
engineer also disconnect the appliance from the mains and do not continue to use
the product
This product has no user-serviceable parts. Refer all servicing and repairs to a qualified
engineer. Improper repairs may place user at serious risk.
This appliance is intended for household use only and should not be used for industrial
or commercial purposes,

Basic Guide to Starting up
This is designed to be used as a throw only, It is recommended to connect to the
mains supply via a 30mA RCD protection device.
Drape the throw over the shoulders and smooth out to remove any creases, The
controller should be positioned close to hand so that the temperature and time can
be adjusted without walking around with the throw on,
Connect the plug to the mains supply and switch on if applicable. Slide the large
switch up to operate the controller, the two LED displays will light. Press the left
button on the controller to select the desired heat setting in steps from | to 7 with
| being the lowest and 9 the highest.
Press the right button to advance the time ‘on’ setting from | to 9 hours, press the
timer button once more and 'H' will appear on the right hand display this indicates
that the throw is continually heating.
NOTE On initial use and after washing, it is recommended that the throw is operated
for 2 hours to ensure it is completely dry. Ignore any slight odour that may occur
on first use,
Do not sleep with the controller set to the maximum heat, Switch off when the
heating is no longer required — do not leave on indefinitely. Unplug the throw from
the mains when not in use,
Care and maintenance
Before cleaning
Disconnect the throw from the mains supply, and then disconnect the controller
from the throw by lifting the retaining clip on the connector then separating the two
parts. Store the controller away carefully.
Cleaning
Do not dry clean this throw
The throw has waterproof heating elements making it safe to immerse in water and
wash by hand or machine. Always remove the controller first — do not allow any
part of the controller to be immersed in any liquid.
Hand wash
After disconnecting the controller, immerse the throw in a lukewarm, mild detergent,
water solution. Soak for five minutes, remove and gently squeeze out as much water
as possible (DO NOT WRING THE THROW). Rinse in clean water, squeeze out
as much water as possible (again without wringing),
Machine Wash
With the controllers detached the throw can be washed in a machine (size permitting).
Wash on WOOL or DELICATES cycle with a neutral detergent or mild soap powder
at a wash temperature of 40°C. Do not use high speed or extra spin cycles.
Drying
Drape the throw over a cloths line to dry — do not use pegs to secure the throw.
Allow to dry naturally — do not use any form of direct heat such as a hair dryer or
heater. Ensure that the throw and its connector are fully dry before re-connecting
the controller and using,
Damage Check
The throw, controller and cable must be regularly checked for damage, |f any damage
or wear Is found have the product checked by a qualified engineer,
Environmental Protection
waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste, please
recycle where facilities exist. Check with your local authority or retailer for recycling
advice.
