QUICK START GUIDE

Thank you for choosing HomeNET system. This document will guide you in the installation process of the HomeNET control unit.

Connect LAN cable

Insert the LAN cable into HomeNET LAN socket. Connect the other LAN plug to your home router.

Connect Power Adapter

Insert the Micro USB jack into HomeNET power socket. Connect power adapter to mains.

Login to HomeNET

HomeNET is configured to obtain an automatic IP address from your router (DHCP). To find the IP assigned to the control unit, you have to use the HomeNET Finder tool. This tool can be downloaded from http://www.airqnetworks.com/finder.

Please, follow the instructions to install the tool correctly.

When the tool is installed, launch it and click on the “Find

HomeNET” button to start finding the control unit. After few minutes the IP address of control unit will appear. Click on the address to login in HomeNET.

To login in HomeNET, default credentials are: username : admin password : console

N.B: To allow the HomeNET Finder tool to work correctly, it’s important that the PC is connected to the same router where the HomeNET control unit is connected. If you are using a wireless router, do not connect the PC to a range extender.

We suggest assigning a static IP to the HomeNET control unit on the first login.

Device pairing

The first time you log-in HomeNET, a wizard will guide you through the configuration process. Before using a device (eg. an AirQ 305 relay board or a wireless sensor), you have to pair it with HomeNET control unit. To pair the device, please follow this procedure:

1. Keep off the device you have to pair to control unit.

2. Start learning mode clicking on “Start device pairing”.

3. Turn on the device you have to pair to control unit.

4. After few seconds you’ll see the paired device.

Please, refer to the picture on the right. When the configuration wizard is completed, you have to go to Setup->Device Pairing page if you want to pair other devices.

Enable MyHOME service

MyHOME is the on-line service that allows you to send SMS (text messages) and E-Mails. To enable MyHOME you need to enter the following credentials in the Setup->Access credentials inside the MyHOME section.

Log-in using the above credentials and follow the instructions.

How to reset control unit

If you need to reset control unit to its factory defaults settings, you have to follow this procedure:

1. Turn off the control unit.

2. Insert a pencil in the reset hole and gently press the button.

3. Power on the control unit leaving the reset button pressed

4. Leave the button pressed for 30 seconds. Then, remove the pencil.

The reset procedure takes at least 2 minutes to complete.
