You'll need a VGA enabled computer system, a USB enabled computer system with an available USB port, a VGA enabled display device, a standard 104-key USB keyboard, a standard 3-button USB mouse, and optionally, Microsoft® Windows® XP/Vista/7 (32/64-bit).

Connect a VGA display device to the front panel's VGA connector. Connect a USB keyboard and mouse to dedicated USB ports. Use the included KVM cables to connect the black-colored VGA connector into the PC1 and PC2 connectors. Connect the opposite end of the KVM cable to the computer systems. Power on the computer connected to PC1 first, then power on the computer connected to PC2.

To switch to the next computer, including audio, press [Scroll Lock] + [Scroll Lock]. To switch to the next computer without switching audio, press [Caps Lock] + [Caps Lock].

The KMDS software allows you to switch control, video, and audio to the next computer, switch only audio to the next computer while control and video remain on the current computer, activate the Picture-In-Picture window to view a scaled-down video feed of the next computer system, and perform file transfers and text copy/paste operations.
