Use the MODE and THRESHOLD buttons
to operate the dosimeter.
Switching on/off the dosimeter y
Press the MODE button and _—
hold it pressed for one second.
The dosimeter will
automatically enter the mode
of gamma dose rate
measurement, followed by
the blinking light-emitting
diode (LED) under the “GAMMA DOSE RATE”
inscription.
To switch off the dosimeter, press the MODE button
and hold it pressed for 6 seconds.
Measuring gamma dose rate
Place the dosimeter above the
surface you want to examine with
the ,+” symbol on its back side.
The frequency of audio signals
indicates the radiation level
(each audio signal refers to
registered gamma quantum).
In 10 seconds the LCD will
start showing rough
measurement results.
Consider the value after the digits on the LCD stop
blinking as the accurate measurement result.
If a radiation level changes significantly, the
digits on the display will start blinking again.
This means that the dosimeter determines a new
mean value. As soon as the digits stop blinking, more
accurate results will appear.

Note. The process of data averaging can be stopped forcibly
to provide effective evaluation of the gamma radiation level.
To do this, change the object of examination and press shortly
the THRESHOLD button.
Rough evaluation of gamma background level of every new
object can be performed within 10 seconds.
Accumulated gamma dose
To get the total dose of gamma
radiation, accumulated from the
moment the dosimeter is on,
press the MODE button and look
for a blinking LED under the
“GAMMA DOSE” inscription.
Remember that in order to
receive accurate results,
keep your dosimeter with you always switched on.
To reset the dosimeter readings, switch it off.
Measuring beta radiation
Before beginning the beta radiation measurement,
proceed to measure gamma background (for further
automatic subtraction) in the mode of gamma dose
rate measurement above the surface of interest.
To do this, wait until the digits on the LCD stop blinking
and press shortly the MODE button twice.
The dosimeter will switch to the mode of beta radiation
measurement (a blinking LED under the “BETA DENSITY”
inscription). Remove the cover with the “+” symbol.
Place the dosimeter with its back side above the surface
under examination.
Consider the value after the LCD stops blinking as
the measurement result of beta contamination.
Gamma dose accumulation time
To get the total accumulation
time of gamma radiation,
press the MODE button.
This mode is next after
the mode of beta radiation
measurement.
Once the dosimeter is on
press the MODE button four
times (or press once after
the mode of gamma dose
accumulation time).
Correction of clock settings:
Press the THRESHOLD button and hold it presed
until the value of minutes start blinking.
To set the value of minutes, first release and then
again press the THRESHOLD button and hold it
pressed until the proper value appears.
Press the MODE button to set the value of hours.
Repeat step 2.
Press the MODE button. The time will be fixed.
Press the MODE button and the dosimeter will
enter the mode of gamma radiation dose rate
measurement.

Switching on/off audio signaling
of registered gamma quanta
and beta particles
Simultaneously press and release
the MODE and THRESHOLD
buttons to switch off audio
signaling, which is indicated
by the «- - - -» symbol that
briefly appears on the
display.
Simultaneously press and release
the MODE and THRESHOLD
buttons once again to switch
on audio signaling, which is
indicated by the “Aud”
symbol that briefly appears
on the LCD.
Maintenance recommendations
Do not let the dosimeter become absolutely dirty.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean its body.
If operating in a dusty environment or during
atmospheric precipitations, the dosimeter should
be placed into a plastic bag or a special case.
Remove the batteries if the dosimeter is not in use
for a long time.
Warranty is void in case of:
- any mechanical or thermal damage,
- the body opened and any internal changes are made,
- the warranty stamps are violated,
- any liquid remains.

Switching on/off display backlight
Press any button of the dosimeter and switch to
the other operating mode to turn on the display
backlight for 5 seconds.
Press shortly the THRESHOLD button to switch
the dosimeter’s display backlight on without
changing the operating mode.
The display backlight will switch off automatically
in 5 seconds.
