Remarks

Reminders

• This light sensor is a transmitter for the wireless operation of one COCO receiver or multiple receivers simultaneously.

• This product must be used in combination with at least one COCO receiver. The receiver must be able to automatically configure itself to the transmitter code. The type indication of these products always begins with an ‘A’.

• The wireless system can be indefinitely expanded with other suitable transmitters and/or receivers.

• The transmitter code is virtually unique (one in 67 million) and is pre-programmed at the factory. You cannot change the house code.

• If use is made of the time switch (2h, 3h, 4h, etc.), the sensor requires approx. 70 minutes before it becomes operational again. During this recovery time the light level must be higher than the set light level. This is intended to prevent your light from switching on unnecessarily during the late hours of the evening/night.

• Removal of one transmitter code from the memory of a COCO receiver: (1) Briefly press the ‘connect’ or ‘search mode’ button of the receiver. (2) Slide the ‘Learn’ switch to ‘Del’ (see [5]). (3) To confirm, the built-in dimmer switches on and off two times.

• Removal of all the transmitter codes from the memory of a COCO receiver: (1) Press the ‘connect’ or

‘search mode’ button on the receiver for 6 seconds (the indicator begins to flash rapidly). (2) Slide the

‘Learn’ switch to ‘Del’ (the receiver switches on and off 2x to confirm).

• This product is waterproof (IP56). To keep the product waterproof, make sure not to damage the rubber seal on the inside (under the battery cover).

• The sensor requires approx. 20 seconds to measure a change in the light level.

• Keep in mind that during cloudy or rainy weather the light level is lower. This influences the light level measured by the product.

• If the product does not work or does not work properly:

- Check the correct placement and/or operation of the batteries.

- Check step by step whether the concerned receiver is configured properly.

- Do not place the ABST-604 in a location where an incorrect light level will be measured, for example:

7

ABST-604 LIGHT SENSOR FOR INDOOR AND OUTDOOR USE

(a) On the front of a garage, where car headlights can influence the light level.

(b) Close to the light controlled by the ABST-604.

- Make sure the receiver is within the wireless range of the ABST-604 (max. approx. 30 metres).

Safety instructions

• Never use COCO products for life support systems or other applications in which equipment malfunctions can have life-threatening consequences.

• Do not attempt to repair this product. If the product is damaged or if you are in doubt about the proper operation, take the product back to the place of purchase.

• Do not expose this product to excessive heat.

• Remove the batteries from the product if the product will not be used for an extended period.

Batteries

• If the indicator (near the sensor) flashes continuously, the batteries are almost discharged. At that time, the ABST-604 will automatically switch off the COCO receiver. The ABST-604 will no longer be operational until the batteries are replaced.

• After replacement of the batteries, the START button must always be held in to make the ABST-604 operational again. Only press for 1 second if you wish to maintain the settings that were used before the batteries were replaced!

• Only use 1.5 Volt AAA alkaline batteries.

• Do not throw the batteries into an open fire.

• Respect the local regulations when disposing of batteries.

Wireless

• This product works using a radio signal that passes through walls, windows and doors. The range is maximum 75 metres in the open air. The range indoors is strongly influenced by local conditions such as concrete, glass and metals. On average, the indoor range is approximately 30 metres.

• New double glass often includes a thin metallic layer. This type of glazing (“HR glass”) allows most visible light to pass through but has a negative impact on radio signals. If there is HR glass between

8

ABST-604 LIGHT SENSOR FOR INDOOR AND OUTDOOR USE the transmitter and receiver, you should expect a significant reduction of the range of the wireless signal.

• This product operates at a frequency of 433.92 MHz. It complies with the essential requirements and other conditions of R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC and can be used in all EU countries.

• There may be restrictions on the use of this device outside the EU. If this device is used outside the

EU, check whether the device complies with the local directives.

This product complies with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of the applicable

European directives. The Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is available at www.coco-technology.com.

If possible, submit this product for recycling after use. Do not dispose of the product with household trash.
