The RS419 is available in two configurations: a short cable version for connection to a wrist-mounted wearable terminal and a long cable version for connection to a hip-mounted wearable terminal.

The trigger assembly of the RS419 rotates to provide left-hand or right-hand use. Rotate the trigger assembly so that the scan trigger is positioned next to the thumb when the RS419 is placed on the index finger.

To install the RS419, connect the interface cable to the wearable terminal, slide the RS419 onto the index finger with the scan trigger next to the thumb, tighten the finger strap, and warm boot the wearable terminal.

To use the RS419, turn on the wearable terminal, launch a scanning application, press the scan trigger and aim the RS419 at a barcode, and position the red laser beam so that it covers the entire length of the barcode.

For larger barcodes, hold the RS419 farther away from the barcode. For barcodes with bars that are closer together, hold the RS419 closer to the barcode. Do not position the RS419 exactly perpendicular to the barcode being scanned.
