This beautiful carriage-shaped laptop will delight any little princess. With

8 fun games, your child will learn age-appropriate curriculum in a fun and engaging way while improving their computer skills with the QWERTY keyboard and ring-shaped cursor. Cinderella will magically appear in the mirror for positive encouragement. Enchanting melodies, piano keyboard and the real voice of Cinderella add to the magic.

WARNING: All packing materials, such as tape, plastic sheets, wire ties and tags are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.

GETTING STARTED

BATTERY INSTALLATION

1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.

2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit.

3. Install 3 new “AA” size (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.)

4. Replace the battery cover.

BATTERY NOTICE

• Install batteries correctly observing the polarity (+, -) signs to avoid leakage.

• Do not mix old and new batteries.

• Do not mix batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).

• Remove the batteries from the equipment when the unit will not be used for an extended period of time.

• Always remove exhausted batteries from the equipment.

• Do not dispose of batteries in fire.

• Do not attempt to recharge ordinary batteries.

• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

• Only batteries of the same and equivalent type as recommended are to be used.

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF RECHARGEABLE

BATTERIES.

REMOVE DEMO TAG

The demo tag should be removed automatically when the product is taken out of the packaging. If the demo tag is still in position when you begin play, please remove it from the bottom of the unit to activate normal play mode.

PRODUCT FEATURES

1. ON/OFF BUTTON

Turn ON your VTech

®

Princess Carriage Laptop by pressing the ON/OFF BUTTON. Press again to turn the unit OFF.

2. ACTIVITY SELECTOR

Slide the ACTIVITY SELECTOR to the activity you would like to play.

3. MIRROR BUTTON

Press the MIRROR BUTTON to hear a twinkling sound and to see Cinderella magically appear in the mirror.

4. REPEAT BUTTON

Press the REPEAT BUTTON to hear a question again.

5. 4 DIRECTIONAL CURSOR RING

Move the 4 DIRECTIONAL CURSOR RING left, right, up and down to select your choice or answer on the screen. Press the ENTER BUTTON to confirm.

6. ENTER BUTTON

Press the ENTER BUTTON to confirm your choice or answer in related activities.

7. MUSIC BUTTON

Press the MUSIC BUTTON to hear a random melody.

8. MAGIC MIRROR

Cinderella will magically appear in the mirror during the game play for positive encouragement.

9. PIANO KEYS

Press the PIANO KEYS to play the piano.

10.AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF

To preserve battery life, the VTech ® Princess Carriage Laptop will automatically power-down after approximately 3 minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the ON/OFF

BUTTON.

ACTIVITIES

1. Lovely Letters

Help Cinderella clean the floor by matching the capital and small letters. Use the cursor ring to select a letter, then press enter to confirm.

The selected letter will flash. Select the corresponding capital or small letter and press enter to confirm and make a match.

2. Same or Different

Help Cinderella clean out the cupboard by finding the odd one out.

Use the cursor ring to select the one that is different. The arrow on the screen will indicate your choice. Press enter to confirm.

3. Gem Count

Cinderella is sorting through her mothers jewelry. Help her arrange it by solving the equation. Watch carefully as the bird adds or takes away some objects. Press a number button to answer.

4. Spelling

Cinderella is teaching her bird friends to spell. Use the cursor ring to select the letters to spell the word. Press enter to confirm your choice.

Alternatively, press the letter buttons to answer.

5. Dress Up

Cinderella is making clothes for the mice. Look carefully at the animation shown at the beginning of the question, then choose the appropriate clothing for the mice from the options given. Use the cursor ring to choose and press enter to confirm.

6. Tidying Up

Help Cinderella tidy the barn by finding the missing letter or number.

Press a letter button or number button to complete the sequence in number or alphabetical order.

7. Pretty Pairs

Cinderella is sorting out some shoes. Use the cursor ring to help her find a matching pair. Press enter to confirm.

8. Magical Music

Select a song by pressing a number button. Press the piano keys while a song is playing to play the song one section at a time.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.

2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source.

3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended period of time.

4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

1. Turn the unit OFF.

2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.

3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.

4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again.

5. If the product still does not work, replace with a new set of batteries.
