FIRST USE

• Remove all packaging and point of sale labels before use.

• Remove plastic cover from plug before use

(used to protect it from damage during transportation)

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Place the hairsetter on a firm, flat surface. With lid closed and all rollers in place, plug into a suitable power outlet. Your hairsetter is designed with a cord keeper system for no fuss storage. Gently pull the power cord out from the base, ensuring that the power cord is pulled all the way out until you see the red marker. With lid closed and all rollers in place, plug into a suitable power outlet.

2. Once plugged in, turn the unit on by sliding the on/off switch to the on position. The on/off indicator light will turn red and the rollers will begin heating up.

3. Allow rollers to heat with the lid closed, as this will provide the fastest, most efficient heat up. The rollers will be heated and ready to use within 2 minutes. Once the rollers are heated, and the red dot on the centre roller has turned white, you can begin styling your hair. Refer to ‘How to Curl and Style Your Hair’ for further information.

5. When using the rollers, your hair should be clean and dry, or slightly samp - never wet.

IMPORTANT: When rollers are initially heating up, it is suggested to have the lid closed, as this provides the fastest, most efficient heatup. When removing rollers to place in the hair, the lid must always be open. Leaving the lid closed when rollers are missing will cause the lid to melt. Take extra caution when heating up the appliance when rollers are missing.

STYLE TIPS

CURLS & WAVES

// To create defined curls and soft waves, place the roller underneath a section of hair no wider than the roller and roll up towards the scalp and secure with a heated clip. Continue throughout the hair until all sections have been styled.

For long, lasting defined curls, the rollers should be left in the hair for a longer period of time before removing or until the rollers and clips have completely cooled. For softer, glamorous waves the rollers should be left in the hair for a shorter period of time.

MOVEMENT & BODY

// To create movement and body through the length of the hair, we suggest rolling the rollers into the hair at a slight angle, away from your face.

Stop two thirds up the hair section and use the heated clips to secure the rollers. For softer, glamorous waves the rollers should be left in the hair for a shorter period of time. Once the rollers and clips have cooled, remove them from the hair and comb through with your fingers for a natural undone look.

VOLUME

// To create dramatic volume at the root, take a 1.5inch wide section of hair from the forehead to the back of the head. Separate into three sections.

Place a roller behind each section and roll the hair down towards the scalp and secure with a heated clip. Continue placing rollers horizontally throughout the rest of the hair, close to the scalp, this will ensure maximum root volume. Leave the rollers and clips to cool, the longer the rollers are left in the hair, the more dramatic the root volume. Once the rollers have been in the hair a sufficient time, gently remove and style your hair as you would normally.

HOW TO USE YOUR HOT ROLLERS

• The rollers can be used on damp or dry hair.

• Place the appliance on a level, heatproof surface. Do not open the lid at this time.

• Turn the appliance on by switching the ‘I/0’ button on the back of the unit to the ‘I’ position.

• One roller has a ‘heat ready dot’ on top. The ready dot will turn from red to white, indicating optimum temperature has been reached and the rollers are ready to use. Open the lid for both the rollers and the clips and begin to style the hair.

• Comb the hair thoroughly and select a roller.

• Take a section of hair the width of the roller and wind the end of the hair around the roller, holding the hair taut. Keep the roller at right angles to the scalp, to ensure even curls.

• Secure the roller with one of the heated clips provided.

• Continue until all sections of hair have been styled.

• Turn the appliance off by switching the ‘I/0’ button on the back of the unit to the ‘0’ position.

• To remove the rollers from the hair, gently hold the roller in one hand and remove the clip with the other. Slowly unroll the roller, being careful not to pull on it as you unwind. Once the hair is loose of the roller, let it bounce back up.

• Let the hair cool so that the curl can set for long-lasting results. Once the hair has cooled style the hair as desired.

• Replace all the clips and rollers back in the unit and close both lids.

• Allow the appliance to cool down completely before storing away.

IMPORTANT !

• Please note the Total Protection Ceramic Heated Rollers have been specifically designed to reach high temperatures in order to produce fast and perfect curl formation.

• When applying the rollers to long or thick hair, the rollers can be used instantly once the heat ready dot has turned white.

• When applying the rollers to short or fine hair, allow the rollers to heat up until the heat ready dot turns white. Once the heat ready dot has turned white, turn off the unit and open the lid. Allow the rollers to cool until they feel comfortable when applying into the hair.

• Always take extra care to avoid the ceramic rollers coming into direct contact with the scalp.

HELPFUL TIPS

• The tightness and hold of the curl is determined by the length of time the roller is left in the hair. After several times of using the appliance, the length of time the rollers should be left in the hair to achieve the desired style will be established.

• For long, lasting defined curls, the rollers should be left in the hair for a longer period of time before removing or until the rollers and clips have completely cooled.

• For softer, glamorous waves the rollers should be left in the hair for a shorter period of time.

• In all cases we suggest to leave the rollers in the hair for at least 10 minutes.

• After all the rollers have been removed use your fingers to ‘comb’ through the curls.

• Spray with a soft-holding hairspray. A heavier spray weighs down the hair and may cause the curls to drop quicker.

WARNING!

• Do not open either lid until the rollers are fully heated (i.e. heat ready dot has turned white) and ready for use.

• Take care to avoid contact between the hot rollers and the face, neck, eyes or ears.

• Please do not touch the hot metal parts of the appliance during use.

CAUTION

Heated bars: To avoid heat contact, remove the heated clips from the top bar first. When replacing the clips on to the heated bars, start with the bottom bar first.
