HDMI ready A HDMI-ready device has all the required hardware to accept High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) input, high quality digital video and audio signals all transmitted over a single cable from a PC or any number of AV sources including set-top boxes, DVD players and A/V receivers. Multiple AV inputs Multiple AV inputs accommodate a variety of format choices in connecting video and audio devices (480i/p, 720p, 1080i). Built-in speakers Audio speakers built into a display device. HD Ready Enjoy the exceptional picture quality of a true High Definition TV signal and be fully prepared for HD sources like HDTV broadcast, Blu-ray DVD or HD-DVD. HD ready is a protected label that offers picture quality beyond that of progressive scan. It conforms to strict standards laid out by EICTA to offer a HD screen that displays the benefits of resolution and picture quality of a High Definition TV signal. It has a universal connection for both analogue YPbPr and uncompressed Digital connection of DVI or HDMI, supporting HDCP. It can display 720p, and 1080i signals at 50 and 60Hz. 5ms on/off response time On-Off response time is the period required for a liquid crystal cell to go from active (black) to inactive (white) and back to active (black) again. It is measured in milliseconds. Faster is better: Lower response time means faster transitions and, therefore, results in fewer visible image artefacts in the display of transition of texts and graphics. On-Off response time is a more important measure in the display of business content like documents, graphs and photos. WXGA+ 1440 x 900 resolution WXGA+ or Wide Extended Graphics Array plus is a standard indicating a graphics monitor's ability to display up to the resolutions 1440 by 900 pixels and supports simultaneous display of more than one million colours. WXGA allows monitors to be non-interlaced for better display performance and increased colour accuracy. Compact and slim design This design style emphasises a slim, compact look that saves space and fits in anywhere. 3D combfilter The 3D comb filter separates brightness and colour signals better in 3D domain to eliminate cross-colour, cross-luminance and dot-crawl distortion - all of which detract from your viewing pleasure. The 3D digital comb filter performs field-by-field comparisons of the television image to accurately separate the colour from the blackand-white information and remove both horizontally and vertically hanging dots, as well as dot crawl. The result is a razor sharp image. Coaxial Digital Audio SPDIF An SPDIF coaxial cable is a highly reliable way of connecting digital audio.
