Frequently asked questions

Follow the steps outlined in the user guide. You will need to copy the files bcp.exe and bcp.rll to the ADSelfService Plus bin folder, ensure the SQL browser service is running, and install the MS SQL Server Native Client if ADSelfService Plus and MS SQL Server are on different machines. Then, open an elevated command prompt and run the changeDB.bat command with the appropriate arguments.

You can choose between Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication. Windows Authentication requires both ADSelfService Plus server and MS SQL Server to be in the same domain and logged in with the same Domain Administrator account. SQL Server Authentication requires you to enter the MS SQL Server User Name and Password.

It will save the SQL Server configuration and take a few minutes to configure the settings of the SQL Server database. ADSelfService Plus will create a new database on the MS SQL Server during this process.
