Caution:

To avoid pinching do not lean on the Quad-Roller massage mechanism in the cushion when adjusting your body position.

Do not jam or force any part of your body in the moving massage mechanism.

• DO NOT use this product before bed. The massage has a stimulating effect and can delay sleep.

• NEVER use this product while in bed.

• This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any physical ailment that would limit the user’s capacity to operate the controls.

• This unit should not be used by children or invalids without adult supervision.

• This product is not for use in automobiles.

Instructions for Use

The Quad-Roller Massaging Cushion comes with a screw located on the back of the unit to protect the massage mechanism during shipment, which must be removed before the first use to allow the unit to function properly. Use the provided allen wrench. Then, properly dispose of the screw. Warning - Failure to remove screw may cause permanent damage to the massage cushion.

Connect the adaptor by plugging the receptable end into the input jack, located along the side of the cushion. Then plug the adaptor into a 120 volt AC outlet. Once the Quad-Roller Massaging Cushion has power, the blue L.E.D.’s in the massage mechanism will illuminate to provide a better, more interesting view of the massage action.

Note - When not in use, unplug the unit to extend the life of the L.E.D.’s.

Attach the cushion to most chairs for a luxurious massage as you read, rest or even work. See pages 6-7 for instructions on the use of the hand control.

Strapping System

The Quad-Roller Massaging Cushion incorporates a unique strapping system which allows you to fasten it to almost any chair. Just slip the straps over the seat or chair and adjust fastening straps to secure.

Your massager won’t slip or slide away.

Please note:

Not recommended for use on wooden surfaces as the zipper may damage the wood.

Caution is also recommended when using on upholstered furniture.

NOTE: Only gentle force should be exerted against the unit in order to eliminate any/all risk of injury.

You may soften massage force by placing a towel between yourself and the unit.

Maintenance

To Store

Place massager in its box or in a safe, dry, cool place. Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed objects which might cut or puncture the fabric surface. To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit. Do not hang the unit by the hand control cord.

To Clean

Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, slightly damp sponge. Never allow water or any other liquids to come into contact with the unit.

• Do not immerse in any liquid to clean.

• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene, glass / furniture polish or paint thinner to clean.

• Do not attempt to repair the Quad-Roller Massaging Cushion.

There are no user serviceable parts. For service, send the unit to the HoMedics address listed in the warranty section.

Power Button

To turn on the massage functions, first press the

POWER button. The L.E.D.

indicator will illuminate and confirm your selection. To turn off the massage functions, simply press the button again. The L.E.D.

indicator will blink while the massage mechanism returns to its lowest point and then it will turn off.

Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu is a deep kneading massage.

NOTE: The moving massage mechanism always “parks” or finishes in its lowest position. It will continue to this position after the power has been turned off. If the electrical supply is interrupted, when power is restored, the mechanism will

“park” or move to its lowest position.

Massaging Cushion is powered by a custom 120 volt AC adaptor, which is included with your unit.

Shiatsu Programs

Choose from 3 preset programs where the Shiatsu massage travels up and down in a specific area of the back.

To select a program, simply press the button and the L.E.D.

will illuminate. To deselect, press the button again or press another button.

Spot Shiatsu

While the unit is in Shiatsu massage, press either button to stop and focus the Shiatsu action in one place. Once the unit is operating in Spot

Shiatsu, you may adjust the mechanism position by holding down either button until the desired position is reached. The Up Arrow will move the mechanism upwards and the Down Arrow will move it down. Once you release the button, the mechanism will stop in that place.

Demo Button

For a brief demonstration of the features of the Quad-Roller

Massaging Cushion, press the Demo button. The unit will complete one cycle combining Shiatsu and Rolling massage. Once complete, the unit automatically turns off.

Rolling Massage

Rolling is like two hands working slowly up and down your back.

Width Adjustment

While the unit is in Rolling massage, press this button to adjust the distance or width between the massage heads.

With each press, the massage heads will move to the next available position.

Rolling Programs

Choose from 3 preset programs where the Rolling massage travels up and down in a specific area of the back. To select a program, simply press the button and the L.E.D. will illuminate. To deselect, press the button again or press another button.

HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below.

HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. Instrucciones de uso

El Cojín Masajeador Quad-Roller trae un tornillo en el respaldo de la unidad que sirve para proteger el mecanismo de masaje durante el transporte; es necesario quitar ese tornillo antes del primer uso para permitir que la unidad funcione correctamente. PUse la llave Allen incluida. Luego, deseche el tornillo apropiadamente. Advertencia – El no retirar el tornillo puede causar daño permanente al cojín para masajes.

Conecte el adaptador enchufando el extremo del tomacorriente en el enchufe, ubicado en el lado del cojín. Luego enchufe el adaptador en un tomacorriente de 120 voltios CA. Una vez conectada la energía al Cojín Masajeador Quad-

Roller, el LED azul del mecanismo de masaje se enciende para proporcionar una vista mejor y más interesante de la acción de masaje. Atención –

Cuando no se use, desconecte la unidad para extender la vida útil de la pantalla LED.

Sistema de correas

Atención:

También se recomienda poner cuidado cuando se usa con muebles tapizados.

ATENCIÓN: Para eliminar cualquier o todo riesgo de daño físico, debe aplicarse sólo una presión limitada contra la unidad.

Usted puede suavizar la fuerza del masaje colocando una toalla entre la unidad y su parte del cuerpo.

Mantenimiento

Para guardar

Coloque el masajeador en su caja o en un lugar seguro, seco y fresco. Evite el contacto con bordes filosos u objetos punzantes que puedan cortar o perforar la superficie del material que lo recubre. Para evitar roturas, NO envuelva el cable de corriente alrededor de la unidad. NO cuelgue la unidad del cable del control manual.

Para limpiar

Desenchufe la unidad y deje que se enfríe antes de limpiarla. Limpie únicamente con una esponja suave, apenas húmeda. Nunca permita que el agua ni otro líquido entre en contacto con la unidad.

• NO sumerja la unidad en ningún líquido para limpiarla.

Botón de encendido

Masaje Shiatsu Para encender las funciones de masaje, primero oprima el botón POWER

(Encendido).

El indicador L.E.D. se iluminará confirmado su selección. Para apagar las funciones de masaje, simplemente oprima el botón nuevamente.

El indicador L.E.D. destella mientras el mecanismo de masaje vuelve a su posición más baja y luego se apaga.

El Shiatsu es un masaje en profundidad.

Programas Shiatsu

Escoja ente los 3 programas preestablecidos en los cuales el masaje Shiatsu se desplaza hacia arriba y hacia abajo en un

área específica de la espalda.

Para seleccionar un programa, simplemente presione el botón y el L.E.D. se ilumina. Para deseleccionar, presione el botón otra vez o presione otro botón

Masaje Schiatsu localizado ATENCIÓN:

El mecanismo móvil de masaje siempre se apaga y termina en la posición más baja. Sigue en esta posición después de desconectar la energía.

Si la corriente se interrumpe, cuando vuelve, el mecanismo se

“aparca” o sea se coloca en la posición más baja.

Quad-Roller es alimentado por un adaptador especial de 120 voltios de CA, incluido con su unidad.

Con la unidad actuando en masaje Shiatsu, presione cualquiera de los dos botones para parar y concentrar la acción Shiatsu en un solo lugar.

Una vez que la unidad está funcionando en Shiatsu

Localizado (Spot Shiatsu), usted puede ajustar la posición del mecanismo manteniendo presionado cualquiera de los dos botones hasta alcanzar la posición deseada. La flecha hacia arriba (Up Arrow) desplaza el mecanismo hacia arriba y la flecha hacia abajo

(Down Arrow) lo desplaza hacia abajo. Cuando usted suelta el botón, el mecanismo para en el lugar donde se encuentra.

Botón de Demostración

Para una breve demostración de las funciones del Cojín

Masajeador Quad-Roller, oprima el botón Demo. La unidad completa un ciclo en el cual combina el masaje Shiatsu y el masaje rodante. Una vez terminado, la unidad se apaga automáticamente.

Masaje Rodante

La función Rolling (Rodillo) es como dos manos trabajando lentamente hacia arriba y abajo en la espalda.

Ajuste de Ancho

Con la unidad en Masaje Rodante, presione este botón para ajustar la distancia, o el ancho entre las cabezas masajeadoras. Cada vez que usted presiona el botón, las cabezas se desplazan a la siguiente posición disponible.

Programas de Masaje Rodante

Escoja ente los 3 programas preestablecidos en los cuales el masaje Rodante se desplaza hacia arriba y hacia abajo en un área específica de la espalda. Para seleccionar un programa, simplemente presione el botón y el L.E.D. se ilumina. Para deseleccionar, presione el botón otra vez o presione otro botón.
