The USB to serial converter cable allows Winterm

1000, 3000 and 8000 Series customers the ability to attach legacy port peripherals to our simple and powerful small-footprint USB products.

The serial converter cable supports modems, label writers, card readers, barcode readers, Palm devices, and security systems standard. and security systems.

Winterm 3000 Series customers must have firmware version 3.5.1 (service pack 2) or later to take advantage of these peripherals, as well as the Converter

Cables add-on firmware, which can be downloaded via wyse.com. Winterm 1200LE customers must have

“Blazer” firmware version 4.0., and Winterm 8000

Series customers do not need to change or upgrade their units to take advantage of this converter cable.
