INTRODUCTION
Your PROFESSIONAL 270° PIR MOTION
DETECTOR is a fully automatic indoor and outdoor security/courtesy light controller capable of controlling up to 2000 watts of lighting. At night, the built-in passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor turns on the connected lighting system when it detects motion in its coverage area. During the day, the built-in photocell saves electricity by deactivating the lights. An adjustable timer lets you select how long the light stays on after activation. The unit is equipped with Thermal
Compensation circuitry which helps ensure reliable sensor performance all year round. Masking strips are also included, enabling the user to blank off detection areas that are not required.
The installation can be made on the wall or ceiling. With an exquisitely design corner mounting plate, users can also install the unit on external and internal corners.
Note : Read this entire manual before you start to install the system.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Do not install when it is raining.
Be sure to switch off power source before installing.
The unit can be installed only vertically (see the
FIGURE 1A), not upside-down or horizontally (see the FIGURE 1B) as shown in the below drawing.

IMPORTANT
Some local building codes may require installation of this product by a qualified electrician.
Before proceeding with the installation, TURN OFF
THE POWER TO THE LIGHTING CIRCUIT AT
THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE BOX TO
AVOID ELECTRICAL SHOCK.
IF IN ANY DOUBT, CONSULT A QUALIFIED
ELECTRICIAN/TRADESPERSON.
CHOOSING A MOUNTING LOCATION
For the best results, fix your sensors on a solid surface, 1.8M~2.5M above the ground.
For outdoor installation, a location under eaves is preferable.
Avoid aiming the motion sensor at pools, heating vents, air conditioners or objects which may change temperature rapidly.
Do not allow sunlight to fall directly on the front of unit.
Try to avoid pointing the unit at trees or shrubs or where the motion of pets may be detected.
1
Prior to mounting, keep in mind that the motion sensor is most sensitive to the motion, which is across the detection field and less sensitive to the motion, which moves directly towards the detector.

INSTALLATION
The unit can apply to the following four installations.
Select a location for the unit based on the coverage angles shown in FIGURE 3.
270°
FIGURE 3
To facilitate installation, it is essential to get a drill and a screwdriver ready. Install a wall switch adjacent to the power source (FIGURE 4). This helps you operate AUTO and
SHUT OFF with ease.

WIRING INSTRUCTION
(1) Switch off the power source or wall switch.
(2) Remove the back plate (retained by 1 screws on the bottom) from the mounting box.
(3) Make a small hole in the center of the cable gasket on the back plate. (FIGURE 9A)

(4) Force the cable through the seal and unscrew two screws on the cord grip.
(5) Strip approximately 6-8mm insulating part of the wires from the power cord.
(6) Before connection, ensure that the mounting box gasket is firmly seated in its original place.
Note: The power cord must meet H05RN-F, 1.5mm² requirement.
(7) Connect the BROWN wire (Live wire) of power cord to the terminal block "L" mark.
Connect the BLUE wire (Neutral wire) of power cord to the terminal block “N” mark.
Connect the BROWN wire of lamp wire to the terminal block "LS" mark.
Connect the BLUE wire of lamp wire to the terminal block "N1" mark.
Connect the GREEN/YELLOW wire of both power cord and lamp wire to the terminal block
" " mark. (FIGURE 9B)

Note: 5 poles terminal block is equipped with earthing-mark hole, serving as a common point to connect the
GREEN/YELLOW wire of both external Class I luminaries and exterior power source Class I luminaries refers to the product that requires earthing protection.
SETTING THE LIGHTING SYSTEM
Pulling off the attachment ring from the top lens segment by pressing two concave surfaces on the ring for time, lux and sensitivity adjustment. (FIGURE 10).
After setting, fix the cover back to its place.

(1) TEST MODE
Turn the Lite control and the Time control fully counter-clockwise -the TEST position.
Turn the wall switch on, the lamp will turn on immediately and wait for 90 sec. Max. to warm up the unit. After warming-up time is expired and the lamp goes off, you may make a walk test and the lamp will turn on. This confirms that the wiring was done properly and that the lamp is working.
Walk through the coverage area. The lamp will turn on when motion is detected and turn off shortly after motion stops. Wait about 5 seconds or more between test motions.
(2) SETTINGS
TIME ADJUSTMENT (FIGURE 11)
The TIME adjustment controls how long the lamp will stay on after motion has been detected. Adjust the
TIME Control Knob clockwise to increase (up to about
12 minutes) how long the light stays on or anti-clockwise to decrease (down to about 5 seconds) the time delay.

LITE ADJUSTMENT (FIGURE 12)
The LITE adjustment determines at what light level the
6
Light Control will start operating when you set the sensor to the AUTO MODE. Provisionally turn the LITE
Control Knob fully clockwise to the moon (dusk) position. In this provisional setting mode, the Motion
Sensor remains inactive during daylight. At dusk, slowly turn the LITE control counter-clockwise until the light turns on. At this setting the unit will become active at dusk each day.

SENS. ADJUSTMENT
The motion sensor’s sensitivity adjustment controls
“detection distance”. It can be adjusted to compensate for seasonal variations in temperature and to reduce unwanted triggering. The optimum sensitivity can be achieved by setting the SENS. control knob initially to its mid position and then adjusting the control knob clockwise to increase (up to 12 meters) the detection distance or anti-clockwise to decrease (down to 3 meters) the detection distance. Detection Range Setting/Adjustments
Two kits of clip-on lens covers for limiting the detection range by blanking off lens segments is enclosed in the separate accessory bag. For different requirements, the clip-on lens covers can be cut to size horizontally and vertically to set detection coverage. (FIGURE 14)
1. Follow the grooves on the covers, and cut it to the suitable size to blank off the lens segment for the undesirable detection area.
2. Press the two concave surfaces on the attachment ring to pull off the ring.
3. Place the covers onto the notches at the sensor
lens top. The attachment ring is again fixed to the
unit holding the covers steadily in place.

OPERATION
By using wall switch to your motion sensor, you can easily select one of two modes of operation: automatic operation and manual override.
(1) AUTOMATIC OPERATION
Turn on the wall switch. When the sensor detects motion, the floodlight automatically turns on. The built-in photocell turns the sensor off and on according to the light level selected by the LITE adjustment.
(2) MANUAL OVERRIDE
To keep the floodlight on regardless of the motion, you can override the automatic operation. Turn the wall switch off and on twice within 4 seconds. The interval between the first and second operation must be within
0.5 - 2 seconds. In Manual Override mode, the floodlight will remain on.
In Manual Override mode, the light will remain on for around 4 hours despite no motion, then the light will turn off and the
Light control will be back to Auto mode automatically.
Users can also set the motion sensor back to Auto operation by turning off the wall switch for at least 10 seconds and then turn it back on.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Light does not turn on
Confirm that you have made a correct “wiring connection”.
Make sure that the bulbs have not burned out.
Light remains on
Make sure the wiring connection is correct.
If you set the system to manual override, remember that you must turn the wall switch off for at least 10 seconds to switch the sensor to automatic operation and turn off the lights.
Check if the TIME setting is correct.
