SafeGuard Easy is a solution that protects information on endpoints with full disk encryption and powerful authentication methods like SafeGuard Power-on Authentication and support for smartcards, tokens, and fingerprint readers.

To log on with a smartcard, connect the card to your computer during startup. You will be prompted to enter your PIN. If you have forgotten your PIN, you can recover access using the Challenge/Response method.

You'll need Lenovo hardware with a fingerprint reader, the latest BIOS, Sophos SafeGuard, and the recommended vendor-specific software version (ThinkVantage Fingerprint for AuthenTec or ThinkVantage Fingerprint for UPEK).

Sophos SafeGuard offers different recovery methods depending on your security officer's settings. You can attempt recovery with Local Self Help or Challenge/Response.
