WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS

1. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on this unit.

2. High temperature and humidity may degrade performance, the response time & brightness will drift by different temperature; Please operate panel within specified temperature and humidity.

3. Do not expose the panel to direct sunlight or sources of direct heat.

4. Do not use this unit in or near water.

5. Do not apply pressure to the panel surface (front or rear side)

6. Do not place this unit on an unstable cart, stand, or table.

The unit may fall, causing serious damage.

7. Do not display a fixed pattern for a long period of time; it will cause image memory, which will affect the performance over time.

8. Slots and openings on the cabinet top, back, and bottom are provided for ventilation. To ensure safe and reliable operation of this unit, and to protect it from overheating, do not block or cover these openings. Do operate this unit on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface, as the ventilation openings on the bottom of the cabinet will be blocked. This

2 unit should never be placed near or over a heat register or radiator. This unit should not be placed in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provided.

9. This product should only be operated from the type of power source indicated on the marking label of the AC adapter, or the battery pack. If you are not sure of the type of power available, consult your Datavideo dealer or your local power company.

10. Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord. Do not locate this unit where the power cord will be walked on, rolled over, or otherwise stressed.

11. Except as specifically explained elsewhere in this manual, do not attempt to service this product yourself. Opening or removing covers that are marked “Do Not Remove” may expose you to dangerous voltage points or other risks, and will void your warranty. Refer all service issues to qualified service personnel.

12. Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: a. When the power cord is damaged or frayed; b. When liquid has spilled into the unit; c. When the product has been exposed to rain or water;

4 d. When the product does not operate normally under normal operating conditions. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions in this manual; improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage to the unit and may often require extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the unit to normal operation; e. When the product has been dropped or the cabinet has been damaged; f. When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance, indicating a need for service.

GENERAL

The Datavideo TLM-350 is a 3.5” TFT LCD monitor. It has two selectable composite video inputs, and NTSC/PAL auto detection.

The mounting plate features hinges which allow the screen to tilt

+/- 90 degree. There is also a removable sunshield and battery pack for field use, and a brightness control to maintain optimum viewing quality in any conditions.

*The FLIP button has two functions:

Function 1: Push the button to change the display to a horizontally mirrored image.

Function 2: Push the button again to change the display to a up/down mirrored image.

Note: Push the button a third time to return to the standard view.

OPERATION

Video Connections

The TLM-350 is supplied with a mini din adaptor cable which plugs into the socket on the rear of the TLM-350. The adaptor cable features two BNC sockets, one yellow and one black, for video Inputs 1 and 2. There is also an in-line power connector for connecting to the power supply or battery pack.

Connect the composite feed from your camera or video playback device to one of the BNC sockets. If you have two cameras / video playback devices connect one to each BNC socket. You can use the V1 / V2 button, on the front of the

TLM-350, to switch between the two inputs.

Power Connections

You can power the TLM-350 from the AC/DC Power Supply or from the Battery Pack.

The battery pack simply connects to the power socket on the mini din adaptor cable (see illustration).

To use the AC/DC power supply you need to connect the male to male DC cable between the power supply and the mini din adaptor cable (see illustration).

Battery Charging

The TLM-350 should be able to run for around 4 hours from a fully charged battery pack.

The battery pack needs to be fully charged prior to use.

Connect the battery pack to the Power Supply / Charger.

Fitting the Mounting Bracket and Sunshade

The TLM-350 is supplied with two Fixing Screws; these are used to attach the Mounting Bracket, Sunshade and Battery Pack.

The battery should take around 4 hours to fully charge.

The Battery Pack mounts on the side of the TLM-350. It is then connected to the power socket (see Page 17).
