Besides reliable comfort, a new Maytag ® M120 system will cost less to operate over older, less efficient systems. Your air conditioner or heat pump’s energy efficiency, rated in Seasonal

Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER), measures how efficiently the unit cools your home. The higher the SEER rating, the more efficiently your unit will perform. Heat pumps have an additional rating called Heating Seasonal Performance Factor.

HSPF measures the average number of Btuh of heat delivered for every Watt-hour of electricity used by the heat pump over the heating season.

When your air conditioner or heat pump is sized and installed properly, you can save more money on your energy bills than you can with older, less efficient units.

Certification is awarded to products designed to reduce energy consumption and utility costs. To qualify, split system air conditioners and heat pumps must have a SEER rating of 14.5 or higher and an EER of 12.0 or higher. Split system heat pumps must have a HSPF rating of 8.2 or higher.

Two-stage technology allows your air conditioner or heat pump to operate at the most efficient level for total indoor comfort regardless of the outside temperature.

UP TO 14 SEER

Most units being replaced today are lower efficiency products. By putting in a standard efficiency air conditioner or heat pump with a matched air handler or coil, you will reduce your monthly utility costs.

UP TO 15 SEER

This outdoor single-stage section when combined with our variable-speed indoor section improves humidity control and provides better indoor air quality by constantly mixing the air.

All Maytag ® M120 Series air conditioners and up to 15 SEER heat pump models feature all-aluminum Micro-Channel coils which provide high corrosion resistance. Maytag ® M120

Series heat pumps also feature a hot gas muffler to reduce both noise and vibration.

AIR CONDITIONER OR HEAT PUMP?

These Maytag ® systems include two main components. The outdoor section is either the air conditioner or the heat pump. The indoor section is an air handler or a furnace and indoor coil. A warmer climate location will typically require a heat pump and an air handler; cooler climates need an air conditioner and a furnace.

Depending on your climate, a heat pump may handle your heating and cooling needs more economically than a separate furnace and air conditioner.

A new comfort system, can provide more than energy efficiency.

Compatible whole-home indoor solutions address specific needs and can improve your indoor living experience. There are solutions for indoor allergens, humidity control and even room temperature control. Be sure to tell your contractor about any specific comfort issues you would like to resolve.

A Maytag ® M120 Series air handler, when combined with a Maytag ® heat pump or air conditioner, completes your quality indoor comfort system. When installed with a matched outdoor unit, Maytag ® air handlers will carry the outdoor system warranty _ a 12-year Worry-Free Limited Warranty on parts.

Maytag ® M120 air handlers are available in variablespeed configurations for better humidity control and improved efficiency with a matched air conditioner or heat pump. Select models are available with upgraded corrosion protection through all-aluminum Anteater

MC ® Micro-Channel coils or our Anteater ® coils. Ask your contractor for details.

INDOOR COILS

If you replace your air conditioner or heat pump,

Maytag highly recommends that you also replace the existing coil with a matched coil. By doing this, you can ensure maximum efficiency and performance of your comfort system.

Maytag ® indoor coils are matched with all models of

Maytag ® split system air conditioners and heat pumps. Our coils offer a 12-Year Worry-Free Limited

Warranty when installed with a Maytag ® heating or cooling system. Depending on the installation configuration of your home, the type of coil used and the installation configuration may vary. Your contractor will choose the appropriate coil for your home.
