Devices which have not been detected
In case of Samsung devices, you should reboot the devices after the automatic setup.
There might be devices which have not been detected. This can occur for the following reasons:
•
•
•
•
• SNMP is not enabled on the printer.
SNMP is blocked by a firewall or an anti-virus program.
The subnet the printer is installed on is inaccessible.
There are incompatible masks on the server and printer.
Some sites set their printer subnet masks so that they can only ever see the Windows print server and nothing else. For this reason, server subnets should be set to be compatible with printers.

Configuring LDAP Synchronization in Drivve | Print
If you want to synchronize Drivve | Print Mobility Manager with an external user database, such as a Microsoft Active Directory, you have to configure
LDAP synchronization. This way, you do not have to manually create each user in Drivve | Print. When syncing, any user details that have changed in the
LDAP system will be updated in Drivve | Print Mobility Manager.
You can define an optional user group (valid group) in the LDAP directory which contains all valid users to be exported to Drivve | Print. Details of the external LDAP directory must be provided so the LDAP service can access it correctly.
Example: Microsoft Active Directory
To easily find the valid group, use an LDAP browser, such as the Softerra LDAP Browser: http://www.ldapadministrator.com/download.htm#lb
With an LDAP browser, you can browse to a certain group and copy the distinguished name for the group.
User Attributes
Fields from Microsoft Active Directory can be used as attributes for Drivve | Print users. For instance, if a field in Active Directory is used as a release or accounting code at the device, Drivve | Print can assign that field to a user and send the job with that value.
For each Drivve | Print attribute, select the Microsoft Active Directory field that should be used.

If you schedule a report of the type Detailed cost by Department, you can only select an account of the type Department.
Assignment account - user
In addition to his default account (the default account is always an account of the type User), a user can be a member of further accounts for instance accounts of the type Department or Project. Thus, any job he initiates is charged to both his user account and to his additional accounts.
Assignment account - account
An account can also be member of another account. Thus, account hierarchies can be created.
Example:
In the context of a project, the accounts Subproject1 and Subproject2 are members of the account Project. If you schedule a report of the type Detailed cost by project, the report comprises the jobs charged to the account Project as well as the jobs charged to the accounts Subproject1 and Subproject2.
To create an account, proceed as follows:
1. In the sidebar, click Accounting and then click Accounts.
