1620 Digital BABY SCALE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS | Manualzz
Care for your scale
1. Clean the scale with a damp, soft cloth
using a mild detergent or non-abrasive
household cleaner, but do not allow water
to get inside the scale as this could damage
the electronics.
2. To clean the cradle thoroughly, detach it
first, then wash with warm soapy water,
rinse and dry
3. Should the scale malfunction, do not
dismantle or try to fix it. Refer to your
Warranty details.
4. Remove the batteries if the scale is
not being used for a long period of time.
5. Handle the scale with care. Do not allow
it to be jumped or pounded on.
Hints on Using Baby Scales
Moving the scale around frequently may affect its
accuracy, so if possible, try to leave it in a permanent
position that has a firm and even surface. If placing
on a table or benchtop, make sure it is safely away
from the edge. After moving it, ensure it shows zero
correctly before using it again.
Body weight varies with a number of factors including
the amount of food recently eaten, the amount of
waste recently expelled by the body, physical activity
and of course, the clothing worn by baby. If possible,
try to weigh baby at the same time of day under the
same conditions and with the same clothes on, or
preferably no clothes on. This will reduce the chance
of getting unexplained variations in weight.
Do not try to compare baby’s weight on a number of
scales. You may find you get different readings, which
can be frustrating ond confusing. The differences
could be due to some scales being slightly inaccurate
and/or baby’s body weight varying due to one or
more of the factors mentioned above.
Even if a scale appears slightly inaccurate, it will
normally give you an accurate measurement of the
variance in the weight from the previous times you
weighed the baby. If you regularly use the same
scale under the same conditions, it should monitor
changes in baby's weight accurately.
