Thank you for choosing Waferlock Hotel Property Management System (HPMS).
HPMS is a user-friendly software for issuing hotel cards, audit trail, and programming hotel locks.
The HPMS software is compatible to be used with any Waferlock hotel products.
This User Guide contains the detail description of setting up and using HPMS.

B Software capacity: 1500 locks maximum (include all rooms,
public doors, passage doors)
B Type of application: small to small-medium size hotel / resorts.
B Card Limitation: all hotel cards must be issued from Waferlock.
E Database of HPMS: PostgreSQL
Driver Installation:
E Any computer that required to use HPMS, it must be installed
with HPMS software.
Mm Please make sure the computer meets the minimum system
specification before installing HPMS.
m All necessary drivers will be installed from the HPMS
software.

only instead of "Full Installation”, the following screen will
pop up and user can use this window to link to any
computer or database that needs to be connected.

Employee selup By default, the System Code for HPMS is "123456", if admin users
Go to Tools > Employee to setup all the hotel staff into this section wish to change their own System Code, Tools > System is the place
lo change the code,
it is not necessary to change System Code after installation.

How To Authorize a Card Waferlock

Before issuing any cards,
please note some important factors for opening a lock:
System code must be correct on the card
Cylinder No. must be correct on the card.
Validation time for the Card must be legal.
Check if the card can open inside lock.
Check if the card is canceled directly from Check in/Out window, or if it's prohibited by Prohibited Card.
Check if new Guest Card is re-issued.

m Building: Select the building you wish to create rooms.
B Floor: The number for the floors in the hotel.

Auto Create Room function:
The purpose of this function is to save time for creating rooms for your hotel.
Click Action, and then click Create Room to open following screen.
Mm Building: Select any specific building to create rooms. = Create New Rooms _ Ter]
M Floor Q'ty: Input the number of floors for the hotel.
(If Room Management Mode is Block-Room, this option will not
be shown)

Temporary Card va
Description
Temporary Card can be issued if any lock (guest room/public door)
needed to be open temporarily. Admin users are able to program
Temporary Card with time limitation, or to open the Inside Lock.
Temporary Card is not able to be prohibited or canceled; it is
recommended limiting the card to be expired within 24 hours or shorter.

Set Door Opening Card is designed to set the door to be open as always, no more need to use cards to open the lock.
How to issue Set Door Opening Card:

Prohibited Card
Description
Prohibited Card is designed to prohibit any specific guest card. If the guest card is prohibited by Prohibited Card,
the guest card will no longer useful.
How to issue a Prohibited Card?
E Expired Time: If set expire time, please select specific Date/Time.
E Select from the chart of a specific Guest to be prohibited.
E Place the card on top of the programmer, click Start Programming
button to issue the card.
E Place the Prohibited Card onto the lock within expire time to
prohibit any guest card.
Note: If needed to re-issue a new guest card, please issue again
directly from Check-in/Out menu.

The Cancellation Card is designed to cancel hotel staff cards. le: Manager Card, Service Card, Room Service Card,

Description
Emergency Card can set the lock to be always open or always closed. If the lock Is effected with Emergency Card,
the lock will not be able to read other cards, unless use the Emergency Card to set the lock back to normal status.

Description
System Code Card
System Code Card is designed to transfer the System Code from HPMS software to the lock.
Admin users must know the old System Code before change to a new System code. The lock will not be able to change to new system code
if old system code is lost, admin users must always keep the old system code in mind. For factory default, System Code is 123456.
How to Issue a System Code Card
B Choose Old System Code: Manufacturer Default (New Cylinder)
& Place the card on top of the programmer, click Start Programming
button to issue the card.
& Place the card in front of reader of the lock.
How to change to a new System Code?
HB Choose Old System Code: Key in the code, then enter the old
System Code in the blank.
Mm Place the card on top of the programmer, click Start Programming
button to issue the card.

set Room No. Card Is designed to setup the cylinder number and its opening mode. Cylinder Unlock Time:
How to issue Sel Door Opening Card:
Mm Use default Value & Seconds: If choose this setting, the cylinder will be able to turn for 6 seconds once legal card approaches.
After 6 seconds It will back to normal.

Description
Event Card is designed to readout the events from the cylinder. Only Event Card can readout the cylinder event,
a single Event Card can readout 72 events, and Admin users can issue a total of 7 Event
Cards to readout all events from the a cylinder (504 events).
How to issue a Event Card?
M Select the events by quantity. (1card = 72 events, 2card
= 144 events., 3card = 216 events---etc)
Mm Select a serial no. for creating event cards.

No.3=third event card)
Mm Place the card on top of the programmer, click Start
Programming button to issue the card.

Description
The function of Room Operation is to check in the guest, to set pre-check in
How to issue a Guest Card:
m Click "New".
Mm Enter the "Check-in time for the guest. (or click Default
check-in time to use the default check in value)
Enter the Check-Out time” for the guest. (or click “Set
to select different check-out value)
Enter guest information. (Guest Name must be entered)
Select the "Public Doors" that the quest can access.
Click “Save” to save the data.
Place the card on top of the programmer, click Start Programming
button to issue the card.
Note:
Please note the check-in time can not be overlapped.
Please note that guest cards will only expired after the check out time.
