INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR USE OF

CAR SEAT “NEO”

PLEASE, READ THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL CAREFULLY

BEFORE USING THE CAR SEAT AND KEEP IT IN A SAFE PLACE

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

This product represents "universal" child restraint system for use in motor vehicles fitted with approved 3-point, lap and static car safety belts with retractor. It is suitable for children weighing 15 – 36 kg, groups II and III and is approved under No Е13 - 44 R-045058. It must be used in forward facing position in the vehicle.

Holding the child in the car seat is dependent on the three-point belt of the vehicle.

This child restraint is designed and manufactured in compliance with the requirements of

Regulation 44 of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe concerning the safe transportation of children, the provisions of the product safety directive 2001/95/EU of the

European Parliament and The Council and Directive 91/671/EEC "Compulsory use of seat belts and child restraints systems for child occupants of power driven vehicles" of the European

Parliament and The Council, as well as the normative acts of the national legislation.

WARNING! Your child will be under maximum protection of this system, if you follow these instructions and recommendations thoroughly! Following the instructions will ensure your child getting the maximum safety designed into the restraint system during the time of use of the product.

Do not forget that no system can provide absolute protection of injury in the case of a crash or road accident. Drive with caution, when there is a child in your vehicle! You are solely responsible for the safety of your child, if you fail to follow exactly the instructions and safety recommendations in this manual!

Pay special attention to the warnings and provide all necessary precautions in order to avoid the risk of possible serious injury to your child, thus ensuring its safety! If you fail to follow the safety recommendations, the instructions for use, assembly and maintenance, it can lead to serious injury or damage to your child.

Make sure that everybody who uses this car seat reads, understands and follows the manual.

NOTE: The construction of this car seat is intended for mounting on most automobile seats. A complete suitability exists if the manufacturer has declared this in the accompanying documentation of the vehicle. If you are not sure, you can consult with the retailer, the manufacturer of the car seat or the operating service.

WARNING! The seat is suitable for use only if the approved vehicles are fitted with threepoint static belt or one with a retractable mechanism that meets the requirements of Regulation

№ 16 of the Economic Commission for Europe of the United Nations and the acts of national legislation.

INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS FOR SAFETY

1. ATTENTION! Never leave the child unattended by an adult! Whenever a child in the seat, there must be presence, control and direct supervision of an adult!

2. Restraining the child in the car seat is dependent on the security and condition of the seat belts for adults, installed and connected to the car.

3. This car seat must be installed and handled only by adult!

4. Follow the user instructions thoroughly in order to prevent possible injuries of your child!

5. Read the vehicle instructions for information about the air bags and the conditions for transportation of children.

6. Do not use the car seat if the child’s head is above the top edge of the vehicle seat!

7. Do not leave the child alone in the vehicle, while in the car seat!

8. The car seat should be mounted on vehicle seats that are forward facing and with diagonal strap and waist belt of the passenger seat! Read the vehicle instructions for information about the air bags and the conditions for transportation of children. NEVER

USE THIS CAR SEAT ON FRONT OR OTHER PASSENGER SEAT EQUIPPED WITH AIR

BAG! FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THAT RULE MAY LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURIES OR

DEATH!

9. Do not mount the car seat on seats of the vehicle, which are mounted sideways or backwards!

10. To be used only in vehicles fitted with approved 3-point diagonal/lap/ with retractor safety belts!

11. IMPORTANT! Do not use the car seat if the safety belts are not well fitted and the car seat is well and properly installed in the car!

12. Do not install the car seat in a way different than the one described in this instruction manual!

13. Always make sure your child is safely secured with seat belts!

14. For maximum protection, the center rear seat position is recommended as the safest position in most vehicles for installing a child restraint.

15. In case the vehicle seat where the car seat will be placed is foldable, first make sure that it is fully unfolded and fixed in upright position before placing the child car seat!

16. The car seat must be installed in a way that it can’t be entrapped by sliding vehicle seat or door.

17. Make sure that both child’s safety belt and vehicle lap/3-point safety belt are properly tightened so as to ensure maximum protection for your child. Check that the belt webbing has not become twisted. Make sure that the belt webbing does not get caught in the door or rubs against sharp corners of the seat or car body. If the belt is frayed or cut, replace it with a new one.

18. When the car seat is not in use, the child restraint must be put in place and in a manner so that when heavy braking or in an accident not to get damaged or to injure passengers. It is recommended to attach the seat to the vehicle seat using a three-point adult belt.

19. Do not put additional pads in the car seat, as they may will reduce the security and stability of the child seat!

20. Do not leave the buckle partially locked. In emergencies and incidents it is very important the child to be removed quickly from the car seat and the car! The buckle of the safety belts is designed in a way you can quickly and easily unlock. This should be explained to your child and teach him not to play with the buckle.

21. In case of a problem with the car seat, please contact the authorized dealer or service department of the manufacturer. Do not attempt to make repair on your own.

22. Always make sure that you are not carrying any unsecured objects, especially on the back shelf, which, in case of an accident, may injure the car’s occupants.

23. Do not use this car seat without its seat cover and do not replace it with a new one, unless supplied by the manufacturer. The fabric parts are integral parts of the restraint system and its safety features!

24. Do not remove the stickers and warnings from the car seat!

25. The car seat is not a toy and do not allow children to play with it!

26. It is dangerous to make any changes, additions or modifications of the construction by yourself, because it could endanger the safety of the child! These actions require approval by a notified body and are subject to strict control!

27. It is recommended the car seat be replaced with a new one if it has been subject to accident, pressure or other damage.

28. Never use a second-hand car seat or second-hand spare parts! The car seat may have been in a violent impact or car crash or the plastic may be old. This can endanger the safety of your child!

29. It is recommended the car seat to be covered if not used,when the vehicle is exposed to strong sunlight. Before using the seat, make sure the temperature of the heated seat will not harm your child.

30. Do not leave the car seat near sources of strong heat!

31. Do not store the car seat in wet environment for longer periods!

32. This car seat must used only as a child restraint system in vehicles – do not use it for other purposes!

33. Store the car seat in a safe dry place. Do not place heavy objects on top.

34. In case of long trips, make frequent stops, children get tired easily.

35. Keep the package away from children!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION OF CAR SEAT IN THE VEHICLE

1. Seat belt of the passenger seat, suitable for mounting the child car seat (fig.1).

2. Place the booster seat on the seat of the car ensuring it is firmly against the car seat’s backrest.

3. Always place the car seat in the direction of movement and attach it to the passenger seat with the seat belt (three-point, a diagonal belt)!

4. Check the adult three¬¬-point safety belt to ensure there is no slack and the belt is not twisted.

5. Place the child in the booster seat. The child should sit comfortably and leaning on the back of the passenger seat.

6. Position the belts (waist and diagonal) and lock as shown in fig.2.

7. IMPORTANT! For smaller children – group II (15-25 кg) the diagonal belt webbing goes under the armrest of the car seat as shown on fig.3. For older children from group III, weighing

22-36 кg, the diagonal belt webbing goes over the armrest of the car seat, as shown on fig.4.

Make sure you put the car seat belt to the child and the car seat in just this way.

WARNING! You should follow these guidelines and use the car seat according your child - age, height and weight. Otherwise the risk is high and can lead to serious injury and damage to the child!

8. URGENT RELEASE: In an emergency, the child must be released and removed quickly from the car seat unlocking the safety belts by pressing the red button on the buckle.

MISUSE OF THE CAR SEAT WILL CONTRIBUTE TO REDUCE ITS SECURITY AND

SAFETY FEATURES! Failure to follow the instructions of this manual not only will not guarantee the safety of the car seat and the child in the vehicle, but can increase the risk of serious injury or death in the event of a sharp turn, sudden stop or crash

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Regularly check the locking and fixing mechanisms, the belts and the upholstery, in order to make sure they are not worn out or damaged.

2. If you find that some part of the car seat has damage, immediately discontinue its use.

3. To clean the upholstery, plastic or metal parts, use a damp soft cloth or sponge and mild detergent.

4. Never use aggressive or abrasive detergents.

5. Always let the cleaned car seat to fully dry out before use or storing.

6. The fabric parts can be hand washed at 30°С, using mild detergent.

7. Do not machine wash or tumble dry! Do not bleach or iron!

8. The buckle can be washed with lukewarm water. Do not use any lubricants.

9. The belts may be cleaned only with mild soap and damp cloth.

10. Do not soak decals and stickers. Do not remove them, they contain important information.

11. Do not use dissolvent, chemical or oiling substances for any part of the car seat.

12. Do not use this car seat without upholstery! It is an integral part of the car seat and can’t be replaced except with an original one supplied by the manufacturer.

13. Do not use the car seat if it has been in an accident. It is possible that it may have structural damages which can be very dangerous. The car seat must be checked by a specialist before you use it again.

14. Too much sun exposure may cause the fabric colors to fade and the plastic to deteriorate.

15. Do not leave your car seat in the vehicle if you don’t plan to use it.

16. Do not place any objects on top of your car seat during its storage, because this may damage it. Store in place out of reach of children.

17. It is recommended to bring your car seat to a specialist for a full check up before using it for a second child or after a long period of time.

18. In case of problems connected with the car seat normal exploitation, please, contact the authorized service shops.
