Using the DV-68 PIR input for one button

The PIR input on the DV-68 can be used to trigger track 001 with a relay contact closure or a push-button. The switch is connected between the center and right terminals of the PIR input jack. Using this input the DV-68 will play track 001 all the way through and will ignore other button presses until completed.

Terminals: Left = Ground, Center = +5 VDC, Right = Trigger Input

In normal operation track 000 will loop until the button is pressed, then track 001 will play. When track 001 is finished track 000 will loop again until the next button press.

Note that if you wish to have a blank screen until the button is pressed instead of a looping video you will still need to put a 000 file at least 20 seconds long onto the CF memory card. The file would be simply a black video, or in the case of audio applications it would be a silent MP3 file.

Plugs to mate to the DV-68 PIR input are available from Team Kingsley LLC www.teamkingsley.com
