You can configure Ipswitch IM to access an LDAP user database by providing the server name, port number, User Authorize DN, User Search DN, and User Search Filters in the LDAP Configuration dialog within Ipswitch IM Server Manager.

Select Windows NT from Authentication Database in the General category of Ipswitch IM Server Manager, then configure the NT Domain Name and Machine name of Domain Controller (if applicable).

The NAT device must forward all traffic for port 5177 to the Ipswitch Instant Messaging Server, and user account names must reflect the public host name.

The Ipswitch IM Client installer is located under the same folder as the Ipswitch IM Server: “..//Program Files/Ipswitch/IMail/IM Server”.
