PREPARATION AND ASSEMBLY

• Before using the juicer for the first time, dismantle the jug from the silver power base by twisting it counter-clockwise. Wash the jug, pulp strainer, juicing cones and lid in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

• Make sure the shaft is assembled onto power base, hexagonal end up. Re-assemble the jug onto the base, twisting it clockwise to lock into position.

• Clip the primary juicing cone into position in the centre of the strainer then locate the strainer carefully onto the central hexagonal end of the shaft, twisting it as necessary to align the slide adjustor correctly into the recess at the top of the handle.

• Position the juicer on a firm, flat and level surface.

• Do not plug in at this stage.

USING YOUR JUICER

• Ensure the product is correctly assembled as described above.

• Position the slide adjustor to control the amount/size of ‘juicy bits’ that will be released through the strainer into the jug. Setting 1 allows the least/smallest bits to pass through.

Setting 5 allows the most/largest bits to pass through.

• For larger fruits (e.g. large oranges, grapefruit) fit the larger juicing cone over the primary cone. For smaller fruits (lemons, limes, small oranges) the primary cone can be used on its own.

• Now plug the powered base unit into a suitable socket ensuring that the mains cord is kept safely out of the way.

• Cut your fruit in half. Hold a single piece of fruit firmly in one hand (cut side down) over the juicing cone. Apply downwards pressure to activate the juicer. You may wish to use your other hand to steady the juicer by holding on to the jug handle. The cone will rotate to remove the juice and pulp from the fruit. Continue to apply pressure until the juice is all removed. In order to remove juice most effectively the motor has a reverse action which alternates the direction of rotation.

• Continue to juice as required taking care not to overfill the jug. To avoid overheating, please observe 15 secs use followed by 15 secs rest with a maximum of 10 cycles before allowing the motor to cool for 1 minute.

HINTS AND TIPS

• If juicing a large quantity of fruit, you may like to remove and rinse the strainer part way through to help maintain the flow.

• To allow for easy removal of the jug from the base and for and easy pouring, please do not overfill. Never fill beyond the 1 litre ‘max’ mark.

• Before pouring, remove the pulp strainer and juicing cones.

• A lid is provided for storage. Freshly squeezed juice should be stored in a refrigerator to maintain its freshness.
