Erie water treatment Micro Chrono Water softener Installation & Operating Instructions

Below you will find brief information for Water softener Micro Chrono. The Micro Chrono water softener is designed to soften hard water, which can help to prevent scale buildup in your pipes and appliances, and extend their lifespan. The unit has a brine tank and a control valve. The control valve uses a timer to determine when to regenerate the resin bed. Once programmed, the unit operates automatically, regenerating the resin bed at a preset interval. The unit requires water conditioner salt to perform the regeneration process. When water flows through the softener, the resin bed removes the hardness minerals from the water. This process is referred to as ion exchange. Once the resin bed becomes saturated with hardness minerals, it needs to be regenerated. During the regeneration process, the resin bed is rinsed with a concentrated salt solution. The salt solution removes the hardness minerals from the resin bed and replenishes the bed so it can continue to soften water.
