13.3 - GENERAL WARNINGS FOR PROPER

DISPENSING

13.5 - HEATING A DRINK

Coffee and any of its additional ingredients (milk, sugar, etc.) are sensitive products, therefore:

Arrange stock so that the products closest to the expiry date are used first. Always check the expiry date.

Products must be stored as required by their manufacturer.

- Always heat the cup, rinsing it with hot water: if the cup is cold, the sudden change of temperature of the espresso will change its taste.

- NEVER load coffee in the filter holder without immediately dispensing it; the coffee powder would

"burn" in the unit and the espresso would be very bitter.

- Ground coffee dose for ONE espresso coffee: between 6 and 7 g.

- Check the grinder/dosing device for wear.

Caution: The tap is very hot, do not touch it until it has cooled down.

To move the tap, hold it only by the area (3) coated with rubber.

• Position the tap (1) over the grille and use the knob

(2) to dispense steam for one/two seconds to drain the water contained in the steam tap.

• Pour the drink in the jug. We recommend using stainless steel jugs with conical spouts.

• Insert the steam tap (1) into the jug, dipping it into the liquid, then dispense steam by turning knob (2) anti-clockwise.

• After heating, stop dispensing steam by turning knob

(2) clockwise.

• After preparing any type of drink, dispense steam for a few seconds to remove any residue of the drink and clean, before and after each dispensing, with a cloth to be used only for this purpose and to be periodically replaced in order to prevent crusting that is hard to remove.

13.4 - DISPENSING HOT WATER

• Place a jug (1) under the dispensing tap (2), press button (3) to dispense hot water.

• Dispensing automatically stops when the set quantity is reached.

• Add the desired product.

Caution: The tap is very hot, do not touch it until it has cooled down.

13.6 - PREPARING A CAPPUCCINO WITH

THE STEAM TAP

Caution: The tap is very hot, do not touch it until it has cooled down.

To move the tap, hold it only by the area (3) coated with rubber.

1) Pour at least three inches of fresh milk (recommended temperature of +4 °C) in a heat-resistant jug, preferably a stainless steel jug.

2) Fully insert the tap (1) into the milk and turn knob

(2) anti-clockwise according to the desired quantity of steam.

3) After reaching the desired temperature, stop dispensing steam by turning knob (2) clockwise.

4) When the desired milk consistency is reached, pour the content of the jug in a cup containing freshly dispensed espresso coffee.

5) After preparing any type of drink, dispense steam for a few seconds to remove any residue of the drink and clean, before and after each dispensing, with a cloth to be used only for this purpose and to be periodically replaced in order to prevent crusting that is hard to remove.

13.7 - SHUT DOWN

NOTE:

We recommend shutting down the machine only if it is not going to be used for more than 8 hours; this will limit calcium salt deposition and power consumption.

Before shutting down the machine, the cleaning operations described in the relevant chapter must be performed.

• Turn off the heating elements of the cup heating plate with switch (1).

• Turn off the light with switch (2).

• If the automatic starting function is enabled, shut down the machine from the display (see the relevant paragraph) and leave the main switch (3) set to "2".

If the automatic starting function is NOT enabled, shut down the machine bringing the main switch (3) to “0”.

• Disconnect the breaker upstream of the machine and close the water supply tap.

14 - UNIT AUTOMATIC WASHING

NOTE:

Unit automatic washing is performed daily at the end of the work shift, when the coffee machine is still operating:

• Release the filter holder (1) of the first unit and empty it.

15. CLEANING

Cleaning operations must be performed with the machine off and cold and with the main switch set to “OFF”.

Cleaning operations that must be performed with the machine on must be performed very carefully due to the risk of burns.

• Remove the filter and insert the blind filter in the filter holder.

• Pour coffee machine detergent into the blind filter; as for the quantity, follow the instructions on detergent package.

• Refit the filter holder on the machine and press buttons and at the same time on the button panel to start the automatic washing stage, which follows five steps, approximately 3 minutes long; the following screen will be displayed:

Max

92 °c

SANREMO

94 °c

125 °c

Min

EN • The end of the washing cycle brings the display back to the normal operation screen.

• Remove the filter holder and clean the blind filter, washing it under running water.

Refit the filter to the unit, enter the programming screen and repeat the washing stage without pouring detergent in the blind filter; a rinsing stage is then performed.

• After rinsing, remove the blind filter and refit the normal filter, then dispense one or two coffees to get rid of any unpleasant taste.

Improper cleaning and maintenance, using non-softened water, or damage to the internal parts can cause sudden lack of water flow or sudden water or steam jets, with serious consequences.

Pay utmost attention when cleaning and using the machine.

15.1 - GENERAL WARNINGS FOR

CLEANING

• DO NOT:

• use water jets to clean the machine;

• use detergents containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasive sponges to clean the machine; USE only specific detergents for coffee machines or dishwashers.

• Chemical detergents used to clean the machine and/or system must be used with care to prevent wear of the components and damage to the environment (biodegradability above 90%).

• Clean all parts and components of the machine fully.

Repeat the automatic washing operations for all units in the machine.

15.2 - DAILY CLEANING

Cleaning the taps

• Clean the taps (1) and (2) (and particularly steam tap (2)) thoroughly at the end of the day (and also immediately after each use as described in the

Dispensing water and Dispensing steam paragraphs) to avoid crusts and bacteria that may clog the holes of the dispenser and to prevent different types of drinks that have been previously heated from altering the taste of the drinks currently being heated.

Cleaning the dispensing unit

• Clean the head (3), cup gasket (4) and filter holder guide of dispensing units (5) with a cloth/sponge and a soft brush.

• Rinse filters and filter holders in hot water and a special detergent to melt the fat residues of coffee.

Cleaning the tray and cup grille

• Remove the drain water tray (6) and clean it under running water.

Cleaning the body

• Use a damp non-abrasive cloth on all surfaces. Do not use products containing alcohol or ammonia which may damage the machine components.
