To adjust the thread tension, turn the tension dials clockwise to tighten and counter-clockwise to loosen. There is a chart on page 11 of the manual for recommended tension settings for different fabrics and threads.

The differential feed helps to prevent waving in seams in knitted fabrics and ensures pucker-free seams in smooth fabrics. It can be adjusted by turning the differential feed adjustment dial in the desired direction.

To change the throat plate, first loosen the throat plate screw and remove the standard throat plate. Then, place the rolled edge throat plate and tighten the screw. Refer to page 19 for detailed instructions.

You'll need to use the "Blind Hem Presser Foot" for this. First, fold the hem up as desired and fold it back towards the right side of the fabric. Then, place the fabric under the presser foot with the wrong side up so that the plastic guide on the presser foot is just touching the folded edge. Sew the hem, guiding the fabric evenly along the plastic guide.

This could be due to a number of factors, including incorrect threading, too tight thread tension, a bent or blunt needle, or an improperly attached needle. Check the troubleshooting guide on page 24 of the manual for more information.

Disconnect the machine from the power supply and use the brush provided to remove dust and lint from the exposed areas. Then, apply a few drops of good quality sewing machine oil to the lubrication points indicated by arrows in the manual. Refer to page 16 for more details.
