リモートサービスボード搭載キット使用上の留意事項について

このたびは、弊社のリモートサービスボード搭載キット（ PG-RSBOP2）をお買い求めいた

だきまして、誠にありがとうございます。本製品のご使用におきまして、留意事項がござ

います。

１．取り付け

PRIMERGY N800に添付の取扱説明書に記載していますリモートサービスボードの

取り付け位置の記述には、誤りがあります。取り付け位置は、本キットに添付の取扱

説明書を参照してください。

２．時刻設定

Windows NTシステムにおいて、ServerView−[アクション]で表示されるエラーメッ

セージバッファの日付・時刻が正しく表示されない場合があります。 [コントロールパ

ネル ]−[システム]−[環境]のシステム環境変数に以下の設定を追加してください。

変数：ＴＺ、値： J S T −９

３．通信インターフェースの設定

通信インターフェースの以下の機能は、使用できません。

− LAN インターフェース

・ ＤＨＣＰ

・ ＤＮＳ

・ ＳＳＬ

上記の機能については、“ Disabled”（デフォルト）を設定してください。

−シリアルインターフェース

・ Connection Type：“dial-in/out”

“ dial-in/out with extension”

上記の機能は、設定しないでください。

４．Remote Control Service の設定

Remote Control Service−[プロパティ]−[トラップ通知]において、“デフォルト設定

を使用”がチェックされている場合、設定は変更されません。設定の変更を行う場合

には、“デフォルト設定を使用”のチェックを外してください。

５．ＵＰＳによるスケジュール運転

ＵＰＳを使用してスケジュール運転されている場合、以下のことに留意してください。

−ＳＮＭＰトラップ通知を設定している場合、スケジュール運転によりサーバの電

源が正常に切断された場合でも、停電を示す下記のアラームが通知されます。

・ Voltage too low

を設定してください。

ServerView−[アラーム]−[モニタ]でアラームタイプの“Voltage too low”を選択し、[除外]を押下してください。

−アラーム通知（ＳＭＴＰ，Ｐａｇｅｒ）を設定している場合、スケジュール運転

によりサーバの電源が正常に切断された場合でも、停電を示す下記のアラーム

が通知されます。

・ Power supply voltage 2 (RSB AUX Power) in cabinet %d at server

ServerName is too low.

このアラームを抑止するためには、 Web インタフェースで次のようにアラーム

ハンドラを設定してください。

Web Interface−[Recovery]−[ASR]−[Alarm Handler]−[作成したアラ

ーム ]−[Error Forwarding]の“Voltages”のチェックを外してください。

−スケジュール運転によりサーバの電源が正常に切断された場合でも、本製品のエ

ラーメッセージとして停電を示す下記のメッセージ（ログ）が格納されます。

・ #1501: Voltage 2 in cabinet %d is too low

−スケジュール運転スケジュール運転によるサーバ電源切断後のＯＳ起動時に、下

記の Popup メッセージの表示およびＮＴイベントログ（エラー）が格納されま

すが、ＯＳ動作には影響ありません。

尚、リモートサービスボードを使用してスケジュール運転されている場合には、上記の

留意事項はありません。

６．ＩＰ アドレス変更

本製品のＩＰアドレスを変更した場合、アラーム通知（ＳＭＴＰ）に失敗することが

あります。この場合、下記のメッセージ（ログ）が格納されます。

#2400 : Sending alerting e-mail %d failed in cabinet %d (socket open failed)

アラーム通知を正しく動作させるためには、下記の処理を実施してください。

(1)ＯＳを起動します。

(2)通信インタフェースを設定するユーティリティを起動します。

(3) [LAN Interface]-[Port]の設定値をメモします。（例：80）

(4) [LAN Interface]-[Port]の設定値を変更・設定します。（例：81）

(5) [LAN Interface]-[Port]の設定値を元の値(3)に変更・設定します。（例：80）

(6)ＯＳを再起動します。

アラーム通知の確認は、下記の処理を実施してください。

(1) Web インタフェースの[Recovery]-[ASR]-[Alarm Handler]を開きます。

(2) [Test Alarm]を実施します。

(3)アラーム通知のテストに失敗した場合は、上記のメッセージ（ログ）が格納

されます。

(注意)アラーム通知のテストを実施するためには、アラームハンドラが作成され

ている必要があります。

７．Web インタフェース

PRIMERGY N800 では、下記の機能はサポートしていません。

− [Maintenance]ページの[Battery Information]

− [ASR Properties]ページの<Fans>の[Check Time]

− [Fans]ページの[Normal Revolutions]

− [Restart Settings]ページの[Action after Power Failure]

− [Restart Settings]ページの[Automatic Power on Delay]

− [Temperature Sensors]ページの<cpu>の[Warning Level]

− [Boot Options]ページ

− [Memory Modules]ページの[Error Count]

− [Voltages Summary]ページ

８．リモートサポートサービス

リモートサポートサービスにより、既に REMCS エージェントがインストールされて

いる場合は、下記の処理を実施してください。

−本製品、および、 REMCS エージェントに通信環境を設定するため、再度、レジ

ストレーションを更新処理で実施してください。レジストレーション完了後、シ

ステムを再起動してください。

REMCS エージェントの詳細については、サーバ本体に添付の｢REMCS エージ

ェント運用ガイド｣を参照してください。

−ソフトウェアウォッチドックによる異常をリモートメンテナンスセンターへ通知

するためには、 ServerView、または Web インタフェースで、この監視機能を有

効にしてください。

監視機能の設定方法については、 ServerView V03.00 以上の CDに収録されてい

るユーザーズガイドを参照してください。

９．その他の留意事項

補足

PRIMERGY N800 では、下記の機能はサポートしていません。

−ＯＳ起動監視（ Boot Watchdog）によるエラー通知

リモートサービスボードに関する共通の留意事項については、 ServerView V03.00 以

上の CD に収録されているユーザーズガイドを参照してください。

Cautions When Using the Remote Service Board Kit

Thank you for buying the Fujitsu remote service board Kit (PG-RSBOP2). Pay attention to the following cautions when using this product.

1. Mounting the Remote Service Board

There is a mistake about the Remote Service Board mounting in User’s Guide provided with PRIMERGY N800. Refer to User’s Guide provided with this product.

2. Setting the Time

The date and time of the error message buffer that is displayed by ServerView -

[Recovery] are sometimes not displayed correctly on the Windows NT system.

Add the following setting to the system variables under [Control panel] -

[System] - [Environment]:

Variable: TZ

Value: XXX(-)??YYY

XXX: Specify up to any three characters (single-byte alphabetics).

(-)??: Specify the time difference with Greenwich Time. Specify a plus value for times west of Greenwich, and a minus value for times east of Greenwich.

(Do not add the "+" sign.)

YYY: Specify this only when Summer Time is in operation.

Specify up to any three characters (single-byte alphabetics).

3. Setting the Communications Interface

The following communications interface functions cannot be used:

- LAN interface

• DHCP

• DNS

• SSL

Set "Disabled" (default) for the above functions:

- Serial interface

• Connection Type: "dial-in/out"

"dial-in/out with extension"

4. Setting Remote Control Service

When the "Use defaults" check box in Remote Control Service - [Properties] -

[Trap Notifications] is marked, the Remote Control Service settings are not changed. To change the settings, unmark the " Use default settings" check box.

5. UPS-based Scheduled Operation

Pay attention to the following points when performing scheduled operation using

UPS:

- The following alarm indicating a power interruption is notified even if the server's power is turned OFF normally by scheduled operation when SNMP trap is set.

• Voltage too low

To suppress this trap, set an alarm monitor as follows on ServerView:

Press ServerView - [Alarms] - [Monitor] - [Select alarm type “Voltage too low”] - [Suppress].

- The following alarm indicating a power interruption is notified even if the server's power is turned OFF normally by scheduled operation when alarm notification (SNMP, Pager) is set.

• Power supply voltage 2 (RSB AUX Power) in cabinet %d at server

ServerName is too low.

To suppress this alarm, set an alarm handler as follows on the Web interface:

Uncheck Web Interface - [Recovery] - [ASR] - [Alarm Handler] - [Created alarms] - [Error Forwarding] "Voltages".

- The following message (log) indicating a power interruption as an error message for this product is recorded even if the server's power is turned OFF normally by scheduled operation.

• #1501: Voltage 2 in cabinet %d is too low

- The following popup message display and NT event log (error) are recorded when the OS is booted up after the server's power is turned OFF by scheduled operation. This, however, does not affect OS operation.

An error was recorded on server ServerName . See server management event/error log (Recovery) for detailed information.

When performing scheduled operation using the Remote Service Board, these cautions are not applied.

６．Change IP address

When IP address of Remote Service Board was changed, it may happen that fail to send alert message (SMTP). In this case, following message (log) would be stored.

#2400 : Sending alerting e-mail %d failed in cabinet %d (Socket open failed)

To send alert message (SMTP) following process should be executed.

(1) Start OS.

(2) Start utility that set LAN interface.

(3) Memo the setting value of [LAN Interface]-[Port].

(4) Change the setting value of [LAN Interface]-[Port].

(For example: 80)

(For example: 81)

(5) Return the setting value of [LAN Interface]-[Port]. (refer to (3) memo)

(6) Restart OS.

(For example: 80)

To confirm alert message, following process should be executed.

(1) Open the [Recovery]-[ASR]-[Alarm Handler] in Web Interface.

(2) Execute [Test Alarm]

(3) If Test Alarm sending was failed, message (log) that was described above would be stored.

(Note) To execute [Test Alarm], alarm handler have to be set up.

７．Web Interface

PRIMERGY N800 does not support following functions.

− ”Battery Information” operation in the [Maintenance]page

− <Fans>”Check Time” operation in the [ASR Properties]page

− ”Normal Revolutions” operation in the [Fans]page

− ”Action after Power Failure” operation in the [Restart Settings]page

− ”Automatic Power on Delay” operation in the [Restart Settings]page

− <cpu>”Warning Level” operation in the [Temperature Sensors]

８．Other Cautions

PRIMERGY N800 does not support following functions.

− Error notification by Boot Watchdog
