Remove the iPod/iPhone/iPad Pull the iPod/iPhone/iPad out of the dock. Charge the iPod/iPhone/iPad to pause or resume play. 2 During play, press MODE/SCAN repeatedly to select a repeat option or the shuffle play mode: • : play the current track repeatedly. • : play all tracks in this album repeatedly. • : play all tracks repeatedly. • : play all tracks randomly. To resume normal play, press MODE/SCAN repeatedly until no option is displayed. Skip to a track For CD: Press / to select another track. For MP3 disc and USB: 1 2 Press Press / to select an album or a folder. / to select a track or file. Tip •• To select a track directly, you can also press a key on the numerical keypad. Note •• iPod with color display, iPod classic, and iPod with video are not compatible with dock charging. When the unit is connected to power, the docked iPod/iPhone/iPad begins to charge. Tip •• For certain iPod models, it may take up to a minute before the charging indication appears. 12 EN Search within a track 1 2 During play, press and hold Release to resume normal play. / . Adjust sound 5 Listen to DAB+ radio Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB+) is a way of broadcasting radio digitally through a network of transmitters. It provides you with more choice, better sound quality and more information. Tune to DAB+ radio stations Note •• Make sure that the antenna is fulled extended. 1 2 During play, you can adjust volume and select sound effects. Press OK to start full scan. »» The unit stores all the DAB+ radio stations automatically and then broadcasts the first available station. »» The station list is memorized in the unit. To make new DAB+ stations and services available, perform full scan regularly. In DAB+ mode, press SCAN. »» The unit scans and stores all the available DAB+ radio stations and broadcasts the first available station. Press and hold PROG for 3 seconds to activate the storing mode. Press / to select a preset number. Press PROG to confirm. Repeat the above steps to store other DAB+ stations. Note •• To remove a pre-stored DAB+ radio station, store another station in its place. Select a preset DAB+ radio station In DAB+ mode, press channel number. / to select a preset 3 4 DAB+ menu. Press / to scroll the menu options: • [Station list]: tune to a DAB+ radio station from a list of available DAB+ stations, or scan DAB+ stations if no station is stored in the list. • [Full scan]: scan and store all the available DAB+ radio stations. • [Manual tune]: tune to a DAB+ station manually. • [Prune]: remove all the invalid stations from the station list. • [System]: adjust system settings. To select an option, press OK. If a sub-option is available, repeat step 2 and step 3. [System] • [Factory Reset]: reset all the settings to factory default. • [Software Upgrade]: update software if available. • [SW version]: know the software version of the unit. Note •• If no button is pressed within 10 seconds, the menu exits. 14 EN 6 Listen to FM radio Tune to FM radio stations Note •• Position the antenna as far as possible from TV, VCR, or other radiation source. •• Make sure that you have connected and fully extended the supplied FM antenna. 1 2 3 Press FM to select FM tuner mode. Press and hold / for 3 seconds. »» [Scanning] (scanning) is displayed. »» The unit tunes to an FM station with strong reception automatically. Repeat step 2 to tune to more stations. To tune to a station with weak signal: Press / repeatedly until you find optimal reception. Store FM radio stations automatically Note •• You can program a maximum of 20 preset FM radio stations. In FM tuner mode, press and hold MODE/ SCAN for 3 seconds. »» The unit stores all the FM radio stations automatically and then broadcasts the first preset radio station. Store FM radio stations manually 1 2 3 4 5 In tuner mode, tune to an FM radio station. Press PROG to activate programming mode. »» [PROG] (program) blinks. Select stereo/mono broadcast Note •• Stereo broadcast is the default setting for tuner mode. •• For stations with weak signals: to improve the reception, change to monaural sound. In FM tuner mode, press OK to switch between mono and stereo broadcast. EN 15 Use FM menu 1 2 3 4 7 Other features In FM mode, press MENU to access FM menu. Press / repeatedly to scroll the menu options: • [Scan setting] • [Audio setting] • [System] To select an option, press OK. Repeat steps 2-3 if sub-option is available under one option. Scan setting • [Strong stations only]: scan FM stations with strong signals only. • [All stations]: scan all the available FM radio stations. Audio setting • [Stereo allowed]: select stereo broadcast. • [Forced mono]: select mono broadcast. Adjust system settings 1 2 In FM/DAB+ mode, when [System] menu is displayed, press / repeatedly to select an option. Press OK to confirm the selection. [Factory Reset] [Yes] [No] [SW version] [Software Upgrade] [Yes] [No] Reset all the settings to the default settings made at the factory. Cancel. Display software version. Select to update software. Cancel. Update software (if available) Software upgrade for your micro system may be available in future. If you register your product at Philips website (www.philips.com/ welcome) with a valid email address, you may receive software update notification. Or you can visit Philips website constantly to check if the updating information is provided. Register your product 1 2 3 4 16 EN Go to www.philips.com/welcome. Click the link of "Register my product" (the exact wording of this link name may vary in different languages). Log in with your account on the prompt Web page. • If you have no account for Club Philips, create one first on this Web page. Search your product with "DCB2070" as the keywords. 5 6 Click the link of search results to access the Web page for registering your product. Fill in necessary information about this product to complete the registration. Update software via USB port To upgrade the software of your micro system, follow these steps strictly: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Note •• Make sure that you have set the clock correctly. 1 Go to www.philips.com/welcome. Log in with your account for Club Philips. »» Support information about your registered product is displayed. Check the latest software version. Download the latest software to your computer, then connect this unit to PC via (USB) socket. In DAB+ mode, press MENU. Select [SYSTEM] (system) > [Upgrade? Yes] (upgrade? yes). »» A confirmation message is displayed. Select [Yes] to go to the upgrade stage. • To select an option, press / ; to confirm a selection, press OK. When the upgrade is complete, the unit will be restarted. Note •• If you select to update software without downloading the latest software or connecting to PC via USB port, you need power off and restart the unit. •• If upgrade is interrupted by accident, you must restart the unit and reinstall the software, otherwise your unit cannot work normally. Set the alarm timer This unit can be used as an alarm timer. You can select CD, FM tuner, iPod/iPhone/iPad, DAB, or USB as alarm source. 2 3 4 5 6 7 In standby mode, press and hold TIMER until [SET TIMER] (set timer) scrolls on the display. »» [SELECT SOURCE] (select source) is displayed. Press SOURCE repeatedly or the source selection buttons on the remote control to select a source: disc, FM tuner, iPod/iPhone/ iPad, DAB+, or USB. Press TIMER to confirm. »» The hour digits blink. Press / repeatedly to set the hour. Press TIMER to confirm. »» The minute digits blink. Repeat steps 4-5 to set the minute. Press / to select the volume of the alarm sound, then press TIMER to confirm. Note •• If the system is idle for 90 seconds, the unit exits alarm setting mode automatically. •• If iPod/iPhone/iPad is selected as alarm source, and you have created a playlist called "PHILIPS" in iTunes and import it to your iPod/iPhone/iPad, you will wake to a random track in the playlist. •• If no "PHILIPS" playlist is created in the iPod/iPhone/iPad or no track is stored in the playlist, you will wake to your last listened track in the iPod/iPhone/iPad. To activate or deactivate the alarm timer In standby mode, press TIMER repeatedly to activate or deactivate the alarm. »» appears when the timer is activated. Tip •• If CD/USB/dock/DAB+ radio is selected as alarm source and the audio cannot be played, FM tuner is activated automatically.
