Non usare prodotti abrasivi, spugnette abrasive, solventi od oggetti metallici. • Non conservare in questa apparecchiatura sostanze esplosive come bombolette spray contenenti un propellente infiammabile. • Se il cavo di alimentazione è danneggiato, deve essere sostituito dal produttore, da un tecnico autorizzato o da una persona qualificata per evitare situazioni di pericolo. 4 www.electrolux.com • Se l’apparecchiatura è dotata di un fabbricatore di ghiaccio o un dispenser dell’acqua, riempirlo esclusivamente con acqua potabile. • Se l’apparecchiatura richiede un collegamento alla rete idrica, collegarla solo a una sorgente d’acqua potabile. • La pressione dell’acqua in ingresso (minima e massima) deve essere compresa tra 1 bar (0,1 MPa) e 10 bar (1 MPa). ISTRUZIONI PER LA SICUREZZA Installazione VVERTENZA! A L’installazione dell’apparecchiatura deve essere eseguita da personale qualificato. • Rimuovere tutti i materiali di imballaggio. • Non installare né utilizzare l’apparecchiatura se danneggiata. • Attenersi alle istruzioni fornite insieme all’apparecchiatura. • Considerato il peso dell’apparecchiatura, prestare sempre attenzione in fase di spostamento della stessa. Indossare sempre guanti di sicurezza. • Assicurarsi che l’aria possa circolare liberamente attorno all’apparecchiatura. • Attendere almeno 4 ore prima di collegare l’apparecchiatura all’alimentazione. • Questo serve a consentire all’olio di fluire nuovamente nel compressore. • Non installare l’apparecchiatura in prossimità di radiatori, fornelli, forni o piani cottura. • La superficie posteriore dell’apparecchiatura deve essere appoggiata alla parete. • Non installare l’apparecchiatura dove sia esposta alla luce solare diretta. • Non installare l’apparecchiatura in luoghi troppo umidi o freddi, come aggiunte strutturali, garage o cantine. • Quando si sposta l’apparecchiatura, sollevarla per il bordo anteriore per evitare di graffiare il pavimento. Collegamento elettrico AVVERTENZA! Rischio di incendio e scosse elettriche. • L’apparecchiatura deve essere soggetta a una messa a terra. • Tutti i collegamenti elettrici devono essere realizzati da un elettricista qualificato. • Verificare che i dati elettrici riportati sulla targhetta matricola corrispondano a quelli dell’impianto. In caso contrario, contattare un elettricista. • Utilizzare sempre una presa elettrica con contatto di protezione correttamente installata. • Non utilizzare prese multiple e prolunghe. • Accertarsi di non danneggiare i componenti elettrici (ad es. la spina di alimentazione, il cavo di alimentazione, il compressore). Contattare il Centro di assistenza o un elettricista per sostituire i componenti elettrici. • Il cavo di alimentazione deve rimanere sotto il livello della spina di alimentazione. • Inserire la spina di alimentazione nella presa solo al termine dell’installazione. Verificare che la spina di alimentazione rimanga accessibile dopo l’installazione. • Non tirare il cavo di alimentazione per scollegare l’apparecchiatura. Tirare sempre dalla spina.compressor). Sono incandescenti. • Non togliere o toccare gli oggetti nel vano congelatore con le mani bagnate o umide. • Non ricongelare del cibo precedentemente scongelato. • Attenersi alle istruzioni per la conservazione riportate sulla confezione del cibo surgelato. Pulizia e cura AVVERTENZA! Vi è il rischio di ferirsi o danneggiare l’apparecchiatura. • Prima di eseguire qualunque intervento di manutenzione, spegnere l’apparecchiatura ed estrarre la spina dalla presa. • L’unità refrigerante di questa apparecchiatura contiene idrocarburi. L’unità deve essere ricaricata ed ispezionata esclusivamente da personale qualificato. • Controllare regolarmente lo scarico dell’apparecchiatura e, se necessario, pulirlo. L’ostruzione dello scarico può causare un deposito di acqua di sbrinamento sul fondo dell’apparecchiatura. Smaltimento AVVERTENZA! Rischio di lesioni o soffocamento. • Staccare la spina dall’alimentazione elettrica. • Tagliare il cavo di rete e smaltirlo. • Rimuovere la porta per evitare che bambini e animali domestici rimangano chiusi all’interno dell’apparecchiatura. • Il circuito refrigerante e i materiali di isolamento di questa apparecchiatura rispettano l’ozono. • La schiuma isolante contiene gas infiammabili. Contattare le autorità locali per ricevere informazioni su come smaltire correttamente l’apparecchiatura. • Non danneggiare i componenti dell’unità refrigerante che si trovano vicino allo scambiatore di calore. 6 www.electrolux.com PRIMO UTILIZZO Pulizia dell’interno prodotti nuovi, quindi asciugare accuratamente. Importante! Non usare detergenti corrosivi o polveri abrasive che possano danneggiare la finitura. Prima di iniziare a utilizzare l’apparecchiatura, lavare l’interno e gli accessori con acqua tiepida e sapone neutro per eliminare il tipico odore dei PANNELLO DEI COMANDI Mid Cold Alarm Power Super Super Freeze Colder Il pannello dei comandi che controlla la temperatura nel vano congelatore si trova all’interno del congelatore. : Pulsante per annullare l’allarme. Allarme: Spia temperatura estesa. Power: Indicatore di corrente elettrica. Super: Indicatore Super Freeze. Super Freeze: Pulsante Super Freeze. SUPER FREEZE (pulsante) Se all’interno del congelatore è necessario provocare un rapido calo della temperatura, premere questo pulsante e si accenderà la spia “Super”. L’unità entra in modalità Super Freeze. Se si desidera uscire dalla modalità Super Freeze, premere nuovamente Super Freeze (pulsante), la spia corrispondente si spegne. Attenzione! In modalità Super Freeze, il congelatore esce automaticamente da questa modalità dopo 48 ore e la spia corrispondente si spegne in modo automatico. Allarme congelatore Una volta alimentato, e quando la temperatura interna ha raggiunto il livello più alto (≥ -10°C), la spia entra in funzione. Quando la temperatura ≥ - 10°C, la spia inizia a lampeggiare e, contemporaneamente, viene emesso 3 volte il segnale acustico per 10 secondi. Dopo 2 minuti, l’allarme si spegne automaticamente e l’indicatore di temperatura eccessiva rimane acceso ma smette di lampeggiare. Quando la temperatura < -10°C, l’indicatore di temperatura : (pulsante) eccessiva si spegne. Quando l’allarme del congelatore è at: l’allarme si spegne e tivo, premere l’indicatore di temperatura eccessiva si accende ma non lampeggia. mportante! - Normalmente consigliamo di selezionare l’impostazione Media, se si desidera una temperatura più calda o più fredda, girare la manopola su un valore più basso o più alto secondo le proprie preferenze. Per un maggiore risparmio energetico girare la manopola su un valore più basso. In caso contrario il consumo di energia sarà elevato. Important! - Temperature ambiente elevate (ad es. nelle calde giornate estive) e un’impostazione fredda sul regolatore della temperatura (posizione più fredda) possono causare il funzionamento ininterrotto del compressore! Motivo: quando la temperatura ambiente è elevata, il compressore deve funzionare ininterrottamente per mantenere la temperatura bassa all’interno dell’apparecchiatura. ITALIANO 7 UTILIZZO QUOTIDIANO Congelazione di alimenti freschi • Il vano congelatore è adatto alla congelazione di alimenti freschi e alla conservazione a lungo termine di alimenti congelati e surgelati. • Riporre i cibi freschi da congelare nel vano inferiore. • La quantità massima di alimenti congelabile in 24 ore è riportata sulla “targa matricola”, un’etichetta presente sulle pareti interne dell’apparecchiatura. • Il processo di congelamento dura 24 ore: non aggiungere altri alimenti da congelare per tutta la durata del processo. Conservazione di alimenti surgelati Al primo avvio o dopo un periodo di inutilizzo. Prima di inserire gli alimenti all’interno del comparto, lasciare l’apparecchiatura in funzione per almeno 2 ore con le impostazioni più alte. Importante! In caso di uno scongelamento accidentale, ad esempio se si verifica un’interruzione della corrente elettrica di durata superiore al “tempo di salita” indicato nella tabella dei dati tecnici, il cibo scongelato deve essere consumato rapidamente o cucinato immediatamente e quindi ricongelato. Scongelamento Prima dell’utilizzo, i cibi surgelati o congelati possono essere scongelati nel comparto congelatore o a temperatura ambiente, a seconda del tempo di cui di dispone per questa operazione. Gli alimenti divisi in piccole porzioni possono essere cucinati direttamente, senza essere prima scongelati. In questo caso, tuttavia, la cottura durerà più a lungo. Produzione di cubetti di ghiaccio Questa apparecchiatura è dotato di una o più vaschette per la produzione di cubetti di ghiaccio. CONSIGLI E SUGGERIMENTI UTILI Consigli per il congelamento Consigli importanti per un congelamento ottimale • La quantità massima di cibo che può essere congelata in 24 ore è riportata sulla targhetta del modello; • Il processo di congelamento richiede 24 ore. Finché non è concluso, non aggiungere altro cibo da congelare; • Congelare solo alimenti freschi, di ottima qualità e accuratamente lavati; • Dividere gli alimenti in piccole porzioni, in modo da facilitare un congelamento rapido e consentire lo scongelamento solo della quantità necessaria; • Avvolgere gli alimenti in pellicola di • • • • alluminio o polietilene in modo da evitare il contatto con l’aria; Non disporre gli alimenti freschi a contatto con quelli già congelati, per evitare l’innalzamento della temperatura di questi ultimi; Gli alimenti magri si conservano meglio e più a lungo di quelli ricchi di grassi. Il sale riduce la durata di conservazione dell’alimento. I ghiaccioli, se consumati appena prelevati dal vano congelatore, possono causare ustioni da freddo; È consigliabile riportare su ogni confezione la data di congelamento, in modo da poter controllare il tempo di conservazione. 8 www.electrolux.com Consigli per la conservazione dei surgelati Per ottenere risultati ottimali • controllare che i surgelati esposti nei punti vendita non presentino segni di interruzione della catena del freddo; • verificare che il tempo di trasferimento dei surgelati dal punto vendita al congelatore domestico sia il più breve possibile; • non aprire frequentemente la porta e limitare il più possibile i tempi di apertura; • Una volta scongelati, gli alimenti si deteriorano rapidamente e non possono essere ricongelati • Non superare la durata di conservazione indicata sulla confezione. PULIZIA E CURA Pulizia Per motivi igienici, è necessario pulire regolarmente l’interno dell’apparecchiatura, inclusi gli accessori interni. Attenzione! L’apparecchiatura non deve essere collegata alla rete di alimentazione durante la pulizia. Pericolo di scossa elettrica! Prima di pulire spegnere l’apparecchiatura e staccare la spina dalla presa oppure spegnere o disinserire l’interruttore o il fusibile. Non pulire mai l’apparecchiatura con una pulitrice a vapore. L’umidità potrebbe accumularsi sui componenti elettrici, pericolo di scossa elettrica! I vapori caldi possono provocare danni alle parti in plastica. L’apparecchiatura deve essere asciutta prima di essere rimessa in funzione. Importante! Gli oli essenziali e i solventi organici possono attaccare i componenti in plastica, ad es. il succo di limone o la scorza dell’arancia; acido butirrico; detergenti contenenti acido acetico. • Evitare che queste sostanze vengano a contatto con parti dell’apparecchiatura. • Non usare detergenti abrasivi. • Togliere gli alimenti dal congelatore. Conservarli in luogo fresco, ben coperti. • Spegnere l’apparecchiatura e staccare la spina dalla presa oppure spegnere o disinserire l’interruttore principale o il fusibile. • Pulire l’apparecchiatura e gli accessori interni con un panno e acqua tiepida. Dopo la pulizia risciacquare con acqua fresca e strofinare fino ad asciugare. • L’accumulo di polvere sul condensatore aumenta il consumo di energia. Per questo motivo pulite attentamente il condensatore sul retro dell’apparecchio una volta all’anno con una spazzola morbida o con un aspirapolvere. • Dopo che tutto è asciutto, rimettere in funzione l’apparecchiatura. Sbrinamento del congelatore Il comparto congelatore, tuttavia, si copre progressivamente di ghiaccio. Rimuovere questa formazione. Per rimuovere la brina dall’evaporatore, non usare utensili metallici appuntiti che possano danneggiarlo. ITALIANO 9 COSA FARE SE... Attenzione! Prima della ricerca guasti, estrarre la spina dalla presa. Le operazioni di ricerca guasti, non descritte nel presente manuale, devono essere eseguite esclusivamente da elettricisti qualificati o da personale competente. Problema Possibile causa L’apparecchiatura non è accesa. La spina di rete non è inserita o è allentata. L’apparecchiatura non funziona Il fusibile è scattato o è difettoso. La presa è difettosa. L’apparecchiatura fa troppo freddo Gli alimenti non sono sufficientemente congelati La temperatura è impostata troppo fredda oppure l’apparecchiatura funziona in modalità Super Freeze. Soluzione Accendere l’apparecchiatura. Inserire la spina di rete. Controllare il fusibile, se necessario provvedere alla sua sostituzione. I malfunzionamenti di rete devono essere corretti da un elettricista. Ruotare provvisoriamente il regolatore di temperatura su una temperatura più calda o premere il pulsante “Super Freeze” per interrompere la modalità Super Freeze. La temperatura non è regolata correttamente. Consultare la sezione iniziale “Pannello dei Comandi” La porta è rimasta aperta per un periodo prolungato. Aprire la porta solo il tempo necessario. Nell’apparecchiatura nel corso delle ultime 24 ore è stata inserita una grande quantità di alimenti caldi. Ruotare temporaneamente il termostato su una temperatura più fredda. L’apparecchiatura è vicina ad una fonte di calore. Consultare la sezione “Posizione di installazione”. Luogo d’installazione Installare l’apparecchiatura in un luogo la cui temperatura ambiente corrisponda alla classe climatica indicata sulla targhetta del modello: Climate classification For an ambient temperature SN +10 to +32 ºC N +16 to +32 ºC ST +16 to +38 ºC T +16 to +43 ºC Posizione L’apparecchiatura deve essere installata lontano da fonti di calore come per esempio termosifoni, boiler, luce solare diretta, ecc.. Verificare che sul lato posteriore sia garantita un’adeguata circolazione dell’aria. Per ottenere prestazioni ottimali, se l’apparecchio è installato al di sotto di un pensile si raccomanda di mantenere una distanza minima tra quest’ultimo e lo spigolo superiore dell’apparecchio di almeno 100 mm. Se possibile, tuttavia, evitare di installare l’apparecchiatura sotto un pensile. Per consentire un perfetto livellamento dell’apparecchiatura sono disponibili uno o più piedini regolabili. Avvertenza! L’apparecchiatura deve poter essere scollegabile dalla presa di corrente; pertanto, al termine dell’installazione, la spina deve essere facilmente accessibile. Bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, beseitigen Sie den typischen „Neugeruch” am besten durch Auswaschen der Innenteile mit lauwarmem Wasser und einer neutralen Seife. Sorgfältig nachtrocknen. BEDIENLEISTE Mid Cold Alarm Power Super Super Freeze Colder Das Bedienfeld, das die Temperatur im Gefrierfach steuert, befindet sich im Inneren des Gefriergeräts. : Taste zum Ausschalten des Alarms Alarm: Kontrolllampe „überhöhte Temperatur” Power: Kontrolllampe „Gerät an Stromversorgung angeschlossen” Super: Kontrolllampe „Schnellgefrieren” Schnellgefrieren: Taste „Super Freeze” SUPER FREEZE (Taste) Wenn Sie möchten, dass die Temperatur im Gefriergerät schnell absinkt, drücken Sie diese Taste. Die Kontrolllampe „Super” leuchtet. Das Gerät läuft dann im Modus Schnellgefrieren. Wenn Sie den Modus Schnellgefrieren ausschalten möchten, drücken Sie die Taste „Super Freeze”, die Kontrolllampe „Super” erlischt. Vorsicht! Der Schnellgefrier-Modus wird automatisch nach 48 Stunden ausgeschaltet, gleichzeitig erlischt die Kontrolllampe „Super”. GEFRIERGERÄTALARM Ist das Gerät eingeschaltet und erreicht die Innentemperatur (≥-10°C), leuchtet die Kontrolllampe. Beträgt die Temperatur ≥-10°C, blinkt die Kontrolllampe und es ertönt 3 Mal alle 10 Sekunden ein Signalton. Nach 2 Minuten wird der Signalton automatisch ausgeschaltet und die Kontrolllampe „überhöhte Temperatur” blinkt nicht mehr. Erreicht die Temperatur <-10°C, erlischt die Kontrolllampe „überhöhte Temperatur”. : (Taste) Drücken Sie während des : der Signalton Gefriergerätalarms wird ausgeschaltet und die Kontrolllampe „überhöhte Temperatur” leuchtet permanent. Wichtig- Wir empfehlen eine mittlere Einstellung. Wenn Sie eine wärmere oder kältere Temperatur wünschen, drehen Sie den Regler entsprechend. Wenn Sie den Regler auf eine niedrigere Temperatur drehen, sparen Sie Energie. Anderenfalls erhöht sich der Energieverbrauch. Wichtig- Bei hohen Raumtemperaturen (z.B. an heißen Sommertagen) und einer kalten Einstellung des Temperaturreglers läuft der Kompressor möglicherweise kontinuierlich oder sogar ununterbrochen. Ursache: Wenn die Umgebungstemperatur hoch ist, muss der Kompressor ständig laufen, um die niedrige Temperatur im Gerät aufrecht zu erhalten. DEUTSCH 17 TÄGLICHER GEBRAUCH Einfrieren frischer Lebensmittel • Der Gefrierraum eignet sich zum Einfrieren von frischen Lebensmitteln und zum Lagern von gefrorenen und tiefgefrorenen Lebensmiltteln über einen längeren Zeitraum. • Legen Sie die frischen Lebensmittel, die eingefroren werden sollen, in das untere Fach. • Die maximale Menge an Lebensmitteln, die in 24 Stunden eingefroren werden kann, ist auf dem Typenschild angegeben, das sich im Innern des Gerätes befindet. • Der Gefriervorgang dauert 24 Stunden. Legen Sie während dieses Zeitraums keine weiteren einzufrierenden Lebensmittel in das Gerät. Lagern von Gefriergut Beim ersten Einschalten oder nach einem langen Zeitraum ohne Benutzung. Bevor Sie Lebensmittel in das Fach einlegen, lassen Sie das Gerät vorher mindestens 2 Stunden lang mit mit höherer Einstellung laufen. Wichtig! Kam es zum Beispiel durch einen Stromausfall, der länger dauerte als der in der Tabelle mit den technischen Daten angegebene Wert (siehe „Ausfalldauer”) zu einem ungewollten Abtauen, dann müssen die aufgetauten Lebensmittel sehr rasch verbraucht oder sofort gekocht und nach dem Abkühlen erneut eingefroren werden. Auftauen Tiefgefrorene oder gefrorene Lebensmittel können vor der Verwendung je nach der zur Verfügung stehenden Zeit im Kühlschrank oder bei Raumtemperatur aufgetaut werden. Kleinere Gefriergutteile können unter Umständen sogar direkt aus dem Gefrierschrank entnommen und anschließend sofort gekocht oder gegart werden. In diesem Fall dauert der Garvorgang allerdings etwas länger. Eiswürfelbereitung Dieses Gerät ist mit einer oder mehreren Schalen für die Herstellung von Eiswürfeln ausgestaltet. Verpacken Sie die einzufrierenden Lebensmittelportionen stets luftdicht in Alufolie oder in lebensmittelechte Gefrierbeutel und achten Sie darauf, dass die Verpackung so wenig Luft wie möglich enthält. Achten Sie beim Hineinlegen von frischen, noch ungefrorenen Lebensmitteln darauf, dass sie keinen Kontakt mit Gefriergut bekommen, da diese sonst antauen können. Weniger fetthaltige Lebensmittel lassen sich besser lagern als fetthaltigere; Salz verkürzt die Lagerzeit von Lebensmitteln im Gefrierfach. Werden Eiswürfel direkt nach der Entnahme aus dem Gefrierfach verwendet, können sie Frostbrand auf 18 www.electrolux.com der Haut verursachen. • Es empfiehlt sich, das Einfrierdatum auf jeder einzelnen Packung zu notieren, um einen genauen Überblick über die Lagerzeit zu haben. REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE Reinigung Aus Gründen der Hygiene sollte das Innere des Geräts einschließlich des inneren Zubehörs regelmäßig gereinigt werden. Vorsicht! Während der Reinigung darf das Gerät nicht an der Netzversorgung angeschlossen sein. Stromschlaggefahr! Schalten Sie das Gerät vor der Reinigung ab und ziehen Sie den Netzstecker oder schalten Sie es am Trennschalter oder an der Sicherung ab. Reinigen Sie das Gerät nie mit einem Dampfreiniger. In den elektrischen Komponenten könnte sich Feuchtigkeit ansammeln, was zu einer Stromschlaggefahr führt. Heiße Dämpfe können Kunststoffteile beschädigen. Das Gerät muss trocken sein, bevor es wieder in Betrieb gesetzt wird. Wichtig! Ätherische Öle und organische Reinigungsmittel können Kunststoffteile angreifen, wie z. B. Zitronensaft, der Saft in der Orangenschale, Buttersäure oder Reiniger, der Essigsäuren enthalten. • Lassen Sie solche Substanzen mit den Teilen des Geräts nicht in Berührung kommen. • Verwenden Sie keine Scheuermittel. • Entnehmen Sie alle Lebensmittel aus dem Kühlschrank. Lagern Sie diese gut abgedeckt an einem kühlen Platz. • Schalten Sie das Gerät ab und ziehen Sie den Netzstecker oder schalten Sie es am Trennschalter oder an der Sicherung ab. • Reinigen Sie das Innere des Geräts und das innere Zubehör mit einem Tuch und lauwarmem Wasser. Wischen Sie nach der Reinigung mit klarem Wasser nach und reiben Sie das Gerät trocken. • Eine Ansammlung von Staub auf dem Wärmetauscher erhöht den Energieverbrauch. Der Netzstecker ist nicht oder nur lose eingesteckt. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker ein. Sicherung durchgebrannt oder defekt. Sicherung prüfen und ggf. ersetzen. Netzsteckdose ist defekt. Störungen an der Netzversorgung müssen von einem Elektriker repariert werden. Die Temperatur ist zu niedrig eingestellt oder das Gerät wird im „Super Freeze“-Modus betrieben. Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler vorübergehend auf eine höhere Einstellung oder drücken Sie die Taste „Super Freeze“, um den Schnellgefrier-Modus auszuschalten. Die Temperatur ist nicht richtig eingestellt. Lesen Sie bitte im Abschnitt „Bedienblende“ nach. Die Tür war für einen längeren Zeitraum offen. Öffnen Sie die Tür nur so lange wie erforderlich. Mögliche Ursache Abhilfe Türdichtung ist nicht luftdicht. Erwärmen Sie die undichten Abschnitte der Türdichtung mit einem Haartrockner (auf einer kühlen Einstellung). Formen Sie gleichzeitig die erwärmte Türdichtung von Hand, bis sie richtig sitzt. Das Gerät steht nicht waagrecht. Stellen Sie die Gerätefüße nochmal ein. Das Gerät berührt die Wand oder andere Gegenstände. Bewegen Sie das Gerät etwas. Eine Komponente, z. B. ein Rohr auf der Rückseite des Geräts berührt einen anderen Teil des Geräts oder die Wand. Biegen Sie ggf. die Komponente vorsichtig auf die Seite. Tritt die Störung erneut auf, wenden Sie sich an den Kundendienst. Risk of injury or damage to the appliance. • Do not change the specification of this appliance. • Do not put electrical appliances (e.g. ice cream makers) in the appliance unless they are stated applicable by the manufacturer. • Be careful not to cause damage to the refrigerant circuit. It contains isobutane (R600a), a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility. This gas is flammable. • If damage occurs to the refrigerant circuit, make sure that there are no flames and sources of ignition in the room. Ventilate the room. • Do not let hot items to touch the plastic parts of the appliance. • Do not put soft drinks in the freezer compartment. This will create pressure on the drink container. • Do not store flammable gas and liquid in the appliance. • Do not put flammable products or items that are wet with flammable products in, near or on the appliance. • Do not touch the compressor or the condenser. They are hot. • Do not remove or touch items from the freezer compartment if your hands are wet or damp. • Do not freeze again food that has been thawed. • Obey the storage instructions on the packaging of frozen food. • Before maintenance, deactivate the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket. • This appliance contains hydrocarbons in the cooling unit. Only a qualified person must do the maintenance and the recharging of the unit. • Regularly examine the drain of the appliance and if necessary, clean it. If the drain is blocked, defrosted water collects in the bottom of the appliance. Disposal WARNING! Do not use detergents or abrasive powders, as these will damage the finish. Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical smell of a brand new product, then dry thoroughly. CONTROL PANEL Mid Cold Alarm Power Super Super Freeze Colder The control panel that controls the temperature inside the freezer compartment is located inside the freezer. : Eliminate alarm sound button. Alarm : extensive temperature indicator. Power : electrical power indicator. Super : Super Freeze indicator. Super Freeze : Super Freeze button. SUPER FREEZE (Button) If you need the temperature inside the freezer to drop quickly, please press this button and indicator of super will be on. The unit runs in Super Freezer. If you need the appliance to stop the mode of Super Freeze, please repress the Super Freeze (button), the indicator of super shuts off. Attention! At super freeze mode, the freezer will automatically quit super freeze mode after 48 hours, the super indicator will shut off simultaneity. ALARM FOR FREEZER When powered, and the inside temperature has reached the higher degree ≥-10°C, then the indicator starts to work. When temperature ≥ -10°C, The indicator light begins to flash, and at the same time, the alarm sounds 3 times per 10 seconds. After 2 minutes, the alarm will automatically stop, and the Excessive temperature indicator will be on but will stop flashing. When temperature < -10°C,Excessive temperature indicator : (button) During the alarm shuts off. : the alarm sound of freezer, press is stopped, and the excessive temperature indicator is on but no flashing. Important! - Normally we advise you select setting of Mid, if you want the temperature warmer or colder please turn the knob to lower or higher setting accordingly. When you turn the knob to lower which can lead to the more energy-saving. Otherwise, itwould result the high energy-consuming. Important! - High ambient temperatures (e.g. on hot summer days) and a cold setting on the temperature regulator (position Colder) can cause the compressor to run continuously or even non-stop! Reason: when the ambient temperature is high, the compressor must run continuously to maintain the low temperature in the appliance. ENGLISH 27 DAILY USE Freezing fresh food • The freezer compartment is suitable for freezing fresh food and storing frozen and deep-frozen food for a long time. • Place the fresh food to be frozen in the bottom compartment. • The maximum amount of food that can be frozen in 24 hours is specified on the rating plate, a label located on the inside of the appliance. • The freezing process lasts 24 hours: during this period do not add other food to be frozen. Storing frozen food When first starting-up or after a period out of use. Before putting foodstuffs in the compartment let the appliance run at least 2 hours on the higher settings. Important! In the event of accidental defrosting, for example the power has been off for longer than the value shown in the technical characteristics chart under “rising time”, the defrosted food must be consumed quickly or cooked immediately and then re-frozen. Thawing Deep-frozen or frozen food, prior to use, can be thawed in the freezer compartment or at room temperature, depending on the time available for this operation. Small pieces may even be cooked still frozen, directly from the freezer. In this case, cooking will take longer. Ice-cube production This appliance is equipped with one or more trays for the production of icecubes. HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS Hints for freezing To help you make the most of the freezing process, here are some important hints: • the maximum quantity of food which can be frozen in 24 hrs. is shown on the rating plate; • the freezing process takes 24 hours. No further food to be frozen should be added during this period; • only freeze top quality, fresh and thoroughly cleaned, foodstuffs; • prepare food in small portions to enable it to be rapidly and completely frozen and to make it possible subsequently to thaw only the quantity required; • wrap up the food in aluminium foil or polythene and make sure that the packages are airtight; • do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to touch food which is already frozen, thus avoiding a rise in temperature of the latter; • lean foods store better and longer than fatty ones; salt reduces the storage life of food; • water ices, if consumed immediately after removal from the freezer compartment, can cause the skin to be freeze burnt; • it is advisable to show the freezing date on each individual pack to enable you to keep tabs on the storage time. 28 www.electrolux.com Hints for storage of frozen food To obtain the best performance from this appliance, you should: • make sure that the commercially frozen foodstuffs were adequately stored by the retailer; • ensure that frozen foodstuffs are transferred from the foodstore to the freezer in the shortest possible time; • not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than absolutely necessary; • once defrosted, food deteriorates rapidly and cannot be refrozen; • do not exceed the storage period indicated by the food manufacturer. CARE AND CLEANING Cleaning For hygiene reasons the appliance interior, including interior accessories, should be cleaned regularly. Caution! The appliance must not be connected to the mains during cleaning. Danger of electrical shock! Before cleaning switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains, or switch off or turn out the circuit breaker or fuse. Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner. Moisture could accumulate in electrical components, danger of electrical shock! Hot vapours can damage plastic parts. The appliance must be dry before it is placed back into service. Important! Ethereal oils and organic solvents can attack plastic parts, e.g. lemon juice or the juice from orange peel, butyric acid, cleaners that contain acetic acid • Do not allow such substances to come into contact the appliance parts. • Do not use any abrasive cleaners. • Remove foodstuffs from the freezer. Store them in a cool place, well covered. • Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains, or switch off or turn out the circuit breaker or fuse. • Clean the appliance and the interior accessories with a cloth and lukewarm water. After cleaning wipe with fresh water and rub dry. • Accumulation of dust at the condenser increases energy consumption. For this reason carefully clean the condenser at the back of the appliance once a year with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner. • After everything is dry place appliance back into service. Defrosting of the freezer The freezer compartment, however, will become progressively covered with frost. This should be removed. Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off frost from the evaporator as you could damage it. However, when the ice becomes very thick on the inner liner, complete defrosting should be carried out as follows: • pull out the plug from the socket; • remove all stored food, wrap it in several layers of newspaper and put it in a cool place; • keep the door open, and place a basin underneath the appliance to collect the defrost water; • when defrosting is completed, dry the interior thoroughly. • Replace the plug in the power socket to run the appliance again. ENGLISH 29 WHAT TO DO IF… Warning! Before troubleshooting, disconnect the power supply. Only a qualified electrician or competent person must do the troubleshooting that is not in this manual. Symptom Appliance does not work. Appliance freezes too much. The food is not frozen enough. Heavy build-up of frost on the door seal. Unusual noises. Important! There are some sounds during normal use (compressor, refrigerant circulation). Possible Cause Remedy Appliance is not switched on. Switch on the appliance. Mains plug is not plugged in or is loose. Insert mains plug. Fuse has blown or is defective. Check fuse, replace if necessary. Socket is defective. Mains malfunctions are to be corrected by an electrician. Temperature is set too cold or the appliance is running in Super Freeze mode. Turn the temperature regulator to a warmer setting temporarily or press the “Super freeze” button to stop Super freeze mode. Temperature is not properly adjusted. Please look in the initial Control Panel section. Door was open for an extended period. Open the door only as long as necessary. A large quantity of warm food was placed in the appliance within the last 24 hours. Turn the temperature regulation to a colder setting temporarily. The appliance is near a heat source. Please look in the installation location section. Door seal is not air-tight. Carefully warm the leaking sections of the door seal with a hair dryer (on a cool setting). At the same time shape the warmed door seal by hand so that it sits correctly. Appliance is not level. Re-adjust the feet. The appliance is touching the wall or other objects. Move the appliance slightly. A component, e.g. a pipe, on the rear of the appliance is touching another part of the appliance or the wall. To ensure best performance, if the appliance is positioned below an overhanging wall unit, the minimum distance between the top of the cabinet and the wall unit must be as least 100 mm. Ideally, however, the appliance should not be positioned below overhanging wall units. Accurate levelling is ensured by one or more adjustable feet at the base of the cabinet. Warning! BANDEAU DE COMMANDE Mid Cold Alarm Power Super Super Freeze Colder Le bandeau de commande permettant de régler la température du compartiment congélateur se trouve à l’intérieur du congélateur. : touche de désactivation de l’alarme. Alarm : voyant de température excessive. Power: voyant d’alimentation électrique. Super : voyant Super Freeze. Super Freeze : voyant Super Freeze. SUPER FREEZE (Touche) Si une baisse rapide de la température est nécessaire dans le congélateur, appuyez sur cette touche et le voyant Super s’allume. L’appareil fonctionne en mode Super Freezer. Si vous souhaitez interrompre le mode Super Freeze de l’appareil, appuyez à nouveau sur la touche Super Freezer, le voyant Super s’éteint. Attention! Le mode Super Freeze s’arrête automatiquement au bout de 48 heures. Le voyant Super s’éteint alors simultanément. ALARME DU CONGÉLATEUR Lorsque l’appareil est en marche et que la température intérieure est plus élevée (≥ que -10°C), alors le voyant Alarm s’allume. Lorsque la température est ≥ à -10°C, le voyant commence à clignoter et l’alarme retentit 3 fois toutes les 10 secondes. Au bout de 2 minutes, l’alarme s’arrête automatiquement et le voyant de température excessive reste allumé en continu et ne clignote plus. Lorsque la température est < à -10°C, le voyant de température excessive s’éteint. : (touche) Lorsque l’alarme du congéla: le signal teur retentit, appuyez sur sonore s’arrête et le voyant de température excessive reste allumé mais ne clignote plus. Important ! - Dans des confitions normales, nous vous recommandons de sélectionner la position Mid, mais si vous souhaitez obtenir une température plus élevée ou plus basse, tournez le thermostat en conséquence. Lorsque vous tournez le thermostat sur le réglage le plus bas, l’appareil consomme moins d’énergie. Sinon, il consomme plus d’énergie. FRANÇAIS Important ! - Si la température ambiante est élevée (par ex. pendant les vagues de chaleur) et que le thermostat est réglé sur une température froide (position Max), le compresseur peut fonctionner en continu et ne plus s’arrêter! 37 Raison: lorsque la température ambiante est élevée, le compresseur doit fonctionner sans interruption pour maintenir une température basse constante à l’intérieur de l’appareil. UTILISATION QUOTIDIENNE Congélation d’aliments frais • Le compartiment congélateur est idéal pour congeler des denrées fraîches et conserver à long terme des aliments surgelés ou congelés. • Placez les denrées fraîches à congeler dans le compartiment inférieur. • La quantité maximale de denrées que vous pouvez congeler par 24 heures figure sur la plaque signalétique, située à l’intérieur de l’appareil. • Le processus de congélation dure 24 heures : vous ne devez ajouter aucune autre denrée à congeler au cours de cette période. Conserver des aliments surgelés Lors de la première utilisation ou après une période de nonutilisation. Avant de ranger les aliments dans le compartiment, laissez l’appareil fonctionner au moins 2 heures au réglage maximum. Attention ! En cas d’arrêt de fonctionnement, si la panne est de courte durée, il n’y a aucun risque d’altération pour les aliments. Abstenez-vous cependant d’ouvrir la porte. Si la panne doit se prolonger, transférez les pro- duits surgelés et congelés dans un autre congélateur. L’autonomie de fonctionnement est indiquée au chapitre “Caractéristiques Techniques”. Cette durée est sensiblement raccourcie suivant la charge de l’appareil. Dès que vous constatez un début de décongélation, consommez les aliments le plus rapidement possible ou recongelez-les après les avoir cuits (aliments crus). Décongélation Les aliments surgelés ou congelés peuvent être décongelés dans le compartiment congélateur ou à température ambiante, en fonction du temps disponible pour cette opération. Les petites pièces peuvent même être cuites sans décongélation préalable. Dans ce cas, la cuisson est plus longue. Fabrication de glaçons Cet appareil est équipé d’un ou de plusieurs bacs à glaçons. Conseils pour la conservation des produits surgelés et congelés du commerce Pour une bonne conservation des produits surgelés et congelés, vous devez : • Vous assurer que l’emballage de ces produits est intact et qu’il ne présente aucune trace d’humidité, signe d’un début de décongélation ; • Prévoir un temps réduit au minimum pour leur transport du magasin d’alimentation à votre domicile (utilisez des sacs isothermes dans la mesure du possible) ; • Eviter d’ouvrir trop souvent la porte du congélateur et ne la laisser ouverte que le temps nécessaire ; • Une fois décongelés, les aliments se détériorent rapidement et ne peuvent pas être recongelés. • Repérez la date de fabrication du produit, et respectez la durée de conservation indiquée par le fabricant. ENTRETIEN ET NETTOYAGE Nettoyage Pour des raisons d’hygiène, nettoyez l’intérieur de l’appareil et tous les accessoires régulièrement. Attention ! Débranchez l’appareil électriquement avant de procéder à son nettoyage. Risque d’électrocution ! Avant toute opération d’entretien et de nettoyage, mettez à l’arrêt l’appareil et débranchez-le électriquement, ou coupez le fusible ou le disjoncteur. N’utilisez pas de nettoyeur à vapeur ou à haute pression pour nettoyer l’appareil. L’humidité pourrait s’accumuler sur les composants électriques. Risque d’électrocution ! Les vapeurs chaudes peuvent endommager les pièces plastique. Essuyez et séchez l’appareil avant de le remettre en fonctionnement. Attention ! Les huiles essentielles et les solvants organiques peuvent attaquer les pièces en plastique utilisées dans cet appareil, par exemple le jus de citron ou le jus d’un zeste d’orange, l’acide butyrique, les produits d’entretien qui contiennent de l’acide acétique. • Veillez à ce que ces substances n’entrent pas en contact direct avec les pièces de l’appareil. • N’utilisez pas de produits de nettoyage abrasifs ou caustiques ni d’éponges avec grattoirs pour procéder au nettoyage intérieur ou extérieur de l’appareil. • Retirez les denrées du congélateur. Enveloppez celles-ci dans plusieurs feuilles de papier journal, ou mieux, dans des emballages isothermes. Conservez-les dans un endroit frais. • Mettez à l’arrêt l’appareil et débranchez-le électriquement ou débranchez le fusible ou coupez le disjoncteur. • Videz l’appareil de ses accessoires. Lavez les parois et les accessoires avec de l’eau tiède et un détergent FRANÇAIS liquide inodore (produit utilisé pour la vaisselle). Rincez et séchez très soigneusement. • L’accumulation de poussière sur le condenseur fait augmenter la consommation d’énergie. Dépoussiérez une fois par an le condenseur situé à l’arrière de l’appareil à l’aide d’une brosse souple ou d’un aspirateur. • Après avoir tout soigneusement essuyé, remettez l’appareil en fonctionnement. Dégivrage du congélateur Cependant, le compartiment congélateur se couvrira progressivement de givre. Il faut le retirer. 39 N’utilisez jamais de couteau ou d’objet métallique pour gratter la couche de givre, vous risquez de détériorer irrémédiablement l’évaporateur. Cependant, lorsque la couche de givre devient trop épaisse, il est recommandé de procéder au dégivrage complet de l’appareil : • débranchez l’appareil ; • sortez les denrées congelées, enveloppez-les dans plusieurs feuilles de papier journal et conservez-les dans un endroit frais ; • maintenez la porte ouverte, puis placez au-dessous un récipient dans lequel s’écoulera l’eau de dégivrage ; • une fois le dégivrage terminé, séchez correctement l’intérieur ; • rebranchez l’appareil. EN CAS D’ANOMALIE DE FONCTIONNEMENT... Attention ! Avant toute intervention sur l’appareil, débranchez-le. La résolution des problèmes non mentionnés dans la présente notice doit être exclusivement confiée à un électricien qualifié ou à votre service après-vente.
