SAFETY INFORMATION Before the installation and use of the appliance, carefully read the supplied instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible if an incorrect installation and use causes injuries and damages. Always keep the instructions with the appliance for future reference. Children and vulnerable people safety Warning! Risk of suffocation, injury or permanent disability. • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. • Do not let children play with the appliance. • Keep all packaging away from children. • Keep all detergents away from children. • Keep children and pets away from the appliance door when it is open. • If the appliance has a child safety device, we recommend you activate it. • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. General Safety • Before maintenance, deactivate the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket. • Do not change the specification of this appliance. 3 • Obey the maximum load volume of 8 kg (refer to the “Programme chart” chapter). • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. • The operating water pressure (minimum and maximum) must be between 0,5 bar (0,05 MPa) and 8 bar (0,8 MPa) • The ventilation openings in the base (if applicable) must not be obstructed by a carpet. • The appliance is to be connected to the water mains using the new supplied hose-sets. Old hose sets must not be reused. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Installation • Remove all the packaging and the transit bolts. • Keep the transit bolts. When you move the appliance again you must block the drum. • Do not install or use a damaged appliance. • Do not install or use the appliance where the temperature is less than 0 °C or where it is exposed to the weather. • Obey the installation instruction supplied with the appliance. • Make sure that the floor where you install the appliance is flat, stable, heat resistant and clean. • Do not install the appliance where the appliance door can not be fully opened. • Always be careful when you move the appliance because it is heavy. Always wear safety gloves. • Make sure that there is air circulation between the appliance and the floor. • Adjust the feet to have the necessary space between the appliance and the carpet. Electrical connection Warning! Risk of fire and electrical shock. • The appliance must be earthed. • Make sure that the electrical information on the rating plate agrees with the power supply. If not, contact an electrician. • Always use a correctly installed shockproof socket. • Do not use multi-plug adapters and extension cables. • Make sure not to cause damage to the mains plug and to the mains cable. Should the appliance power supply cable need to be replaced, this must be carried out by our Service Centre. • Connect the mains plug to the mains socket only at the end of the installation. Make sure that there is access to the mains plug after the installation. • Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect the appliance. Always pull the mains plug. • Do not touch the mains cable or the mains plug with wet hands. • This appliance complies with the E.E.C. Directives. Water connection • Make sure not to cause damage to the water hoses. • The appliance is to be connected to the water mains using the new supplied hose-sets. Old hose sets must not be reused. 4 • Before you connect the appliance to new pipes or pipes not used for a long time, let the water flow until it is clean. • The first time you use the appliance, make sure that there is no leakage. tact the Service to ensure which accessories can be used. The glass can be hot. • Make sure that you remove all metal objects from the laundry. • Do not put a container to collect possible water leakage under the appliance. Con- • Before maintenance, deactivate the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket. • Do not use water spray and steam to clean the appliance. • Clean the appliance with a moist soft cloth. Only use neutral detergents. Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads, solvents or metal objects. Disposal Warning! Risk of injury or suffocation. • Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply. • Cut off the mains cable and discard it. • Remove the door catch to prevent children and pets to get closed in the appliance. This prevents children or pets to be closed in the drum. To activate the device, turn it clockwise, until the groove is horizontal. To deactivate the device, turn it counter-clockwise, until the groove is vertical. Fixing plate kit (4055171146) Use this special accessory, when you install the appliance on a plinth. It prevents the movements of the appliance when it operates. Read carefully the instructions supplied with this accessory. You can buy it in all approved Service. Prewash phase Washing phase Rinses phase C Spin phase The phase symbols • When a programme is set, all the symbols of the phases related to the programme come on. • When the programme starts, only the symbol of the phase in operation flashes. • When the programme is completed, the symbol of the last phase is on. D The steam symbol comes on when you set a Steam programme. E The detergent overdosing symbol comes on at the end of the cycle when the appliance detects too much detergent. You cannot open the appliance door when the symbol is on. You can open the door only when the symbol goes off. F G If the programme is completed but the symbol stays on: • The 'Rinse Hold' function is on. • There is water in the drum. The delay start symbol comes on when you set the delay start function. 7 H The child safety lock symbol comes on when this device is activated. • The programme time When the programme starts, the programme time decreases with steps of 1 minute. • The delay start When you press the delay start button, the display shows the delay start time. I • Alarm codes If the appliance has a malfunction, the display shows alarm codes. Refer to 'Troubleshooting'. • The display shows this message for some seconds when: – You cannot set a function with the washing programme. – You try to change the washing programme while it operates. • When the programme is completed. When the door is open - Refer to 'Loading the laundry' paragraph • The maximum programme load The symbols shows the maximum load for the set programme. • The weight of laundry The symbol shows the weight of the laundry inside the drum. When you load the laundry, the weight updates by steps of 0.5 kg. J When the door is closed • The symbol of detergent • The percentage of the detergent quantity. The symbols shows the quantity of detergent to use for the laundry in the drum. When you press the Start/ Pause button, these symbols go off. Graphic bars The empty indicator bar appears only if the related function is available for the set programme. The indicator bar fills accordingly to the set functions. If you make a wrong selection the message Err indicates that the selection is not possible. The time save symbol comes on when you set one of the programme duration. K • Shortened time • Extra Quick The extra rinse symbol comes on when this function is activated. L The value shows the total number of the rinses. 8 The indicator bar is fully filled when you set the maximum number of rinses. The Stain symbol comes on when you activate the function. The Prewash symbol comes on when this function is activated. M The indicator bar is not fully filled when you set only one of the functions. Make sure that it agrees with the laundry. 3) Set this programme to decrease the time and the consumption of energy and water. 4) Standard programmes for the Energy Label consumption values According to regulation 1061/2010, these programmes are respectively the «standard 60 °C cotton programme» and the «standard 40 °C cotton programme». They are the most efficient programmes in terms of combined energy and water consumption for washing normally soiled cotton laundry. M1144 In UK, Eire, Hong Kong and India the Woolmark symbol is a certification trademark. CONSUMPTION VALUES At programme start the display shows the duration programme for the maximum load capacity. During the washing phase the programme duration is automatically calculated and can greatly be reduced if the laundry load is lower than the maximum load capacity (e.g. Cotton 60°C, maximum load capacity 8 kg, the programme duration exceeds 2 hours; real load 1 kg, the programme duration don’t reach 1 hour). When the appliance is calculating the real programme duration a dot blinks in the display. The data of this table are approximate. OPTIONS Temperature (Temperatur Température) Set this option to change the default temperature. = cold water. Indicator The indicator of the set temperature comes on. Spin (U./Min. - T/min.) With this option you can decrease the default spin speed. The display shows the indicator of the set speed. Additional spin options: No Spin • Set this option to remove all spin phases. • Set it for very delicate fabrics. • The rinse phase uses more water for some washing programmes. • The display shows the indicator . Rinse Hold • Set this option to prevent the laundry creases. • The washing programme stops with the water in the drum. The drum turns regularly to prevent the laundry creases. • The door stays locked. You must drain the water to unlock the door. • The display shows the indicator . To drain the water refer to ‘At the end of the programme’. 12 Stain-Prewash (Flecken/Taches - Vorwäsche/Prélavage) The display shows the related indicator. Set this option to add the stain and/or a prewash phase to a programme. Press this button again and again to activate one or two options. The related indicator and the indicator bar comes on in the display. With this option you can prevent that the children play with the control panel. • To activate/deactivate this option, press Temperatur - Température and U./ Min. - T/min. at the same time until the comes on/goes off. indicator You can activate this option: • After you press Start/Pause - Départ/ Pause, the options and the programme knob are locked. • Before you press Start/Pause - Départ/ Pause: the appliance cannot start. STAIN • Use this function for laundry with hard stains to remove. When you set this function, put the stain . This remover into compartment function increases the programme duration. This function is not available with a temperature lower than 40° C. PREWASH • Use this function to add a prewash phase before the washing phase. Use this option for heavy soil. This function increases the programme duration. Extra Rinse (Extra Spülen Rinçage+) With this option you can add some rinses to a washing programme. Use this option for persons allergic to detergents and in areas where the water is soft. The related indicator comes on. Time save (Zeit Sparen - Gain de Temps) With this option you can decrease the programme duration. • Press this button one time to set 'Shortened duration' for items with daily soil. • Press this button two times to set 'Extra Quick' for items with almost no soil. Some programmes accept only one of the two functions. Delay Start (Zeitvorvahl - Départ Différé) With this option you can delay the start of a programme from 30 minutes to 20 hours. Child Lock Permanent extra rinse With this option you can permanently have an extra rinse when you set a new programme. • To activate/deactivate this option press Zeit Sparen - Gain de Temps and Zeitvorvahl - Départ Différé at the same time until the indicator Extra Spülen - Rinçage+ comes on/goes off. Acoustic signals The acoustic signals operate when: • You activate the appliance. • You deactivate the appliance. • You press the buttons. • The programme is completed. • The appliance has a malfunction. To deactivate/activate the acoustic signals, press Flecken/Taches - Vorwäsche/ Prélavage and Extra Spülen - Rinçage+ at the same time for 6 seconds. If you deactivate the acoustic signals, they continue operate when the appliance has a malfunction. 13 BEFORE FIRST USE 1. Put 2 litre of water in the detergent compartment for washing phase. This activates the drain system. 2. Put a small quantity of detergent in the compartment for washing phase. 3. Set and start a programme for cotton at the highest temperature without laundry. This removes all possible dirt from the drum and the tub. DAILY USE 1. Open the water tap. 2. Connect the mains plug to the mains socket. For a correct operation of the weight sensor, activate the appliance and set the programme BEFORE you put the laundry in the drum. Activating the appliance Press Auto Off to activate or deactivate the appliance. A tune sounds when the appliance is activated. Setting a programme 1. Turn the programme knob and set the programme: • The related programme indicator comes on. • The indicator of Start/Pause - Départ/Pause flashes. • The display shows: – the default temperature – the spin speed – the indicators of the programme phases – the programme duration. 2. If necessary, change the temperature, the spin speed, the cycle duration, or add available options. When you activate an option, the indicator of the set option comes on. If you set something incorrect, the display shows the message Err. Loading the laundry 1. Open the appliance door. 2. The display (J) shows the maximum load for the programme (MAX) and the weight of the laundry (KG). 3. Put the laundry in the drum, one item at time. Shake the items before you put them in the drum. 4. On the display the weight of the laundry updates by steps of kg 0.5. The weight is indicative and changes with the type of the laundry. If you put in the drum more laundry than the maximum load, the symbols MAX and the value 0.0 start to flash. You can wash your laundry but the water and energy consumption increase. To have the best consumption and washing performance remove some items until the symbols stop to flash. The overload indication is available only for programmes with a maximum load lower than the appliance maximum load. 5. Close the door. The value 0.0 near the symbol % on the display shows the quantity of the detergent to use. This data is indicative and refers to the detergent quantity for a maximum load that the manufacturer recommends. 14 Make sure that no laundry stays between the seal and the door. There is a risk of water leakage or damage to the laundry. Filling the detergent and additives The detergent compartment for the prewash phase and the soak programme. Add the detergent for prewash and soak before the start of the programme. The detergent compartment for the washing phase. If you use a liquid detergent, put it immediately before you start the programme. Liquid additives compartment (fabric conditioner, starch). Put the product in the compartment before you start the programme. This is the maximum level for the quantity of liquid additives. The compartment for the stain remover. Put the product in the compartment and set the stain function before you start the programme. Flap for powder or liquid detergent Turn it (up or down) in the correct position to use powder or liquid detergent. Always obey the instructions that you find on the packaging of the detergent products. 15 Check the position of the flap 1. Pull out the detergent dispenser until it stops. 2. Press the lever down to remove the dispenser. 3. To use powder detergent, turn the flap up. 4. To use liquid detergent, turn the flap down. With the flap in the position DOWN: – Do not use gelatinous or thick liquid detergents. – Do not put more liquid detergent than the limit showed in the flap. – Do not set the prewash phase. – Do not set the delay start function. 5. Measure out the detergent and the fabric conditioner. 6. Carefully close the detergent dispenser. Make sure that the flap does not cause a blockage when you close the drawer. Starting a programme without delay start Press Start/Pause - Départ/Pause: • The indicator Start/Pause - Départ/Pause stops to flash and stays on. • The indicator starts to flash on the display. • The programme starts, the door is locked . and the display shows the indicator • The drain pump can operate for a short time when the appliance fills water. After approximately 15 minutes from the start of the programme: • The appliance adjusts automatically the programme duration agree with the laundry load. • The display shows the new value. 16 Starting a programme with delay start • Press Zeitvorvahl - Départ Différé again and again until the display shows the delay you want to set. The related indicator comes on the display. • Press Start/Pause - Départ/Pause: – The appliance starts the countdown. – When the countdown is completed, the programme starts automatically. You can cancel or change the set of the delay start before you press Start/ Pause - Départ/Pause . To cancel the delay start: 1. Press Start/Pause - Départ/Pause to set the appliance to pause. 2. Press Zeitvorvahl - Départ Différé until ’. the display shows Press Start/Pause - Départ/Pause again to start the programme immediately. Interrupting a programme and changing the options You can change only some options before they operate. 1. Press Start/Pause - Départ/Pause. The indicator flashes. 2. Change the options. 3. Press Start/Pause - Départ/Pause again. The programme continues. Cancelling a programme 1. Press Auto Off for some seconds to cancel the programme and to deactivate the appliance. 2. Press the same button again to activate the appliance. Now, you can set a new washing programme. The appliance does not drain the water. Opening the door While a programme or the delay start operates, the appliance door is locked and the . display shows the indicator Caution! If the temperature and level of the water in the drum are too high, you cannot open the door. Open the appliance door when the delay start operates: 1. Press Start/Pause - Départ/Pause to pause the appliance. 2. Wait until the door lock indicator goes off. 3. Open the door. 4. Close the door and press Start/Pause Départ/Pause again. The delay start continues to operate. Open the appliance door when the programme operates: 1. Press Auto Off for some seconds to deactivate the appliance. 2. Wait for some minutes and then open carefully the appliance door. 3. Close the appliance door. 4. Set the programme again. At the end of the programme • The appliance stops automatically. • The acoustic signal operates (if it is activated). • In the display a comes on. • The indicator Start/Pause - Départ/Pause goes off. • The door lock indicator goes off. • Remove the laundry from the appliance. Make sure that the drum is empty. • Keep the door ajar, to prevent the mildew and odours. • Close the water tap. • Press Auto Off for some seconds to deactivate the appliance. The washing programme is completed, but there is water in the drum: – The drum turns regularly to prevent the creases in the laundry. – The door lock indicator is on. The door stays locked. – You must drain the water to open the door. To drain the water: 1. If necessary, decrease the spin speed. 2. Press Start/Pause - Départ/Pause. The appliance drains the water and spins. 3. When the programme is completed goes and the door lock indicator off, you can open the door. 17 4. Press Auto Off for some seconds to deactivate the appliance. The appliance drains and spins automatically after approximately 18 hours (except for Wool programme). AUTO OFF option The AUTO OFF option automatically deactivates the appliance to decrease the energy consumption when: • You do not use the appliance for 5 minutes before you press the button Start/ Pause - Départ/Pause. Press the button Auto Off to activate the appliance again. • After 5 minutes from the end of the washing programme Press the button Auto Off to activate the appliance again. The display shows the end of the last set programme. Turn the programme knob to set a new cycle. HINTS AND TIPS The laundry load • Divide the laundry in: white, coloured, synthetics, delicates and wool. • Obey the washing instructions that are on the laundry care labels. • Do not wash together white and coloured items. • Some coloured items can discolour with the first wash. We recommend that you wash them separately for the first times. • Button up pillowcases, close zippers, hooks and poppers. Tie up belts. • Empty the pockets and unfold the items. • Turn inside out multilayered fabrics, wool and items with painted illustrations. • Remove hard stains. • Wash with a special detergent heavy soil stains. • Be careful with the curtains. Remove the hooks or put the curtains in a washing bag or pillowcase. • Do not wash in the appliance : – Laundry without hems or with cuts – Underwired bras. – Use a washing bag to wash small items. • A very small load can cause balance problems with the spin phase. If this occurs, adjust manually the items in the tub and start the spin phase again. Stubborn stains For some stains, water and detergent is not sufficient. We recommend that you remove these stains before you put the items in the appliance. Special stain removers are available. Use the special stain remover that is applicable to the type of stain and fabric. Detergents and additives • Only use detergents and additives specially made for washing machines. • Do not mix different types of detergents. • To help the environment, do not use more than the correct quantity of detergent. • Obey the instructions that you find on the on packaging of these products. • Use the correct products for the type and colour of the fabric, the programme temperature and the level of soil. • If your appliance has not the detergent dispenser with the flap device, add the liquid detergents with a dosing ball. Ecological hints • Set a programme without the prewash phase to wash laundry with normal soil. • Always start a washing programme with the maximum load of laundry. • If necessary, use a stain remover when you set a programme with a low temperature. • To use the correct quantity of the detergent, check the water hardness of your domestic system 18 Water hardness If the water hardness in your area is high or moderate, we recommend that you use a water softener for washing machines. In areas where the water hardness is soft it is not necessary to use a water softener. To know the water hardness in your area, contact your local water authority. Use the correct quantity of the water softener. Obey the instructions that you find on the packaging of the product. CARE AND CLEANING Warning! Before maintenance, disconnect the appliance from the mains supply. To remove rust particles use only special products for washing machine. Do this separately from the laundry wash. Always obey the instructions that you find on the packaging of the product. External cleaning Clean the appliance only with soap and warm water. Fully dry all the surfaces. Caution! Do not use alcohol, solvents or chemical products. Descaling If the water hardness in your area is high or moderate, we recommend that you use a water softener for washing machines. Regularly examine the drum to prevent limescale and rust particles. Maintenance wash With the low temperature programmes it is possible that some detergent stays in the drum. Make regularly a maintenance wash. To do this: • Remove the laundry from the drum. • Set the cotton programme with the highest temperature with a small quantity of detergent. If this occurs, do steps (1) through (9) of 'Cleaning the drain filter'. If necessary, clean the pump. When you drain the water with the emergency drain procedure, you must activate again the drain system: 1. Put 2 litres of water in the main wash compartment of the detergent dispenser. 2. Start the programme to drain the water. move the remaining water from the inlet hose and the drain pump. 1. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket. 2. Close the water tap. 3. Remove the water inlet hose. 4. Put the two ends of the inlet hose in a container and let the water flow out of the hose. 5. Empty the drain pump. Refer to the emergency drain procedure. 6. When the drain pump is empty, install the inlet hose again. Warning! Make sure that the temperature is more than 0 °C before you use the appliance again. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by low temperatures. Frost precautions If the appliance is installed in an area where the temperature can be less than 0° C, re- TROUBLESHOOTING The start of the appliance does not occur or it stops during operation. First try to find a solution to the problem (refer to the table). If not, contact the service centre. With some problems, the acoustic signals operate and the display shows an alarm code: • - The appliance does not fill with water. • - The appliance does not drain the water. Problem The programme does not start. • - The appliance door is open or not closed correctly. Please check the door! • - The mains supply is unstable. Wait until the mains supply is stable. • - The anti-flood device is on. Disconnect the appliance and close the water tap. Contact the service centre. Warning! Deactivate the appliance before you do the checks. Possible solution Make sure that the mains plug is connected to the mains socket. Make sure that the appliance door is closed. 22 Problem Possible solution Make sure that there is not a damaged fuse in the fuse box. Make sure that the Start/Pause has been pressed. If the delay start is set, cancel the setting or wait for the end of countdown. Deactivate the Child Lock function if it is on. The appliance does not fill with water. Make sure that the water tap is open. Make sure that the pressure of the water supply is not too low. For this information, contact your local water authority. Make sure that the water tap is not clogged. Make sure that the filter of the inlet hose and the filter of the valve are not clogged. Refer to “Care and cleaning”. Make sure that the inlet hose has no kinks or bends. Make sure that the connection of the water inlet hose is correct. The appliance does not drain the water. Make sure that the sink spigot is not clogged. Make sure that the drain hose has no kinks or bends. Make sure that the drain filter is not clogged. Clean the filter, if necessary. Refer to 'Care and cleaning'. Make sure that the connection of the drain hose is correct. Set the drain programme if you set a programme without drain phase. Set the drain programme if you set an option which ends with water in the tub. The spin phase does not operate or the washing cycle lasts longer than usually. Set the spin programme. Make sure that the drain filter is not clogged. Clean the filter, if necessary. Refer to 'Care and cleaning'. Adjust manually the items in the tub and start the spin phase again. This problem may be caused by balance problems. There is water on the floor. Make sure that the couplings of the water hoses are tight and there is not water leakages. Make sure that the drain hose have no damages. Make sure you use the correct detergent and the correct quantity of it. You cannot open the appliance door. Make sure that the washing programme is finished. Set the drain or the spin programme if there is water in the drum. The appliance makes an unusual noise. Make sure the levelling of the appliance is correct. Refer to 'Installation'. Make sure that the packaging and/or the transit bolts are removed. Refer to 'Installation'. Add more laundry in the drum. The load may be too small. The appliance fills with water and drain immediately. Make sure that the drain hose is in the correct position. The hose may be too low. 23 Problem Possible solution The cycle is shorter than the time displayed. The appliance calculates a new time according to the laundry load. See the ‘Consumption Values’ chapter. The cycle is longer than the time displayed. An unbalanced laundry load increases the duration time. This is a normal behavior of the appliance. The washing results are not satisfactory. Increase the detergent quantity or use a different detergent. Use special products to remove the stubborn stains before you wash the laundry. Make sure that you set the correct temperature. Decrease the laundry load. After the check, activate the appliance. The programme continues from the point of interruption. If the problem occurs again, contact the Service. If the display shows other alarm codes. Deactivate and activate the appliance. If the problem continues, contact the Service. VERBRAUCHSWERTE Am Programmstart zeigt das Display die Programmdauer für die maximale Beladung an. Während der Waschphase wird die Programmdauer automatisch berechnet und verringert sich möglicherweise beträchtlich, wenn die Wäsche weniger wiegt als die maximal zulässige Beladung. Zum Beispiel beträgt die maximale Beladung bei Baumwolle 60 °C 8 kg und die Programmdauer überschreitet 2 Stunden. Wiegt die tatsächliche Beladung 1 kg, verringert sich die Programmdauer auf unter 1 Stunde. Während das Gerät die tatsächliche Programmdauer berechnet, blinkt ein Punkt im Display. VORWÄSCHE • Wählen Sie diese Funktion, um vor dem Hauptwaschgang einen Vorwaschgang durchzuführen. Verwenden Sie diese Option bei stark verschmutzter Wäsche. Mit dieser Funktion verlängert sich die Programmdauer. Extra Spülen (Extra Spülen Rinçage+) Mit dieser Option können Sie dem Waschprogramm Spülgänge hinzufügen. Diese Option empfiehlt sich für Menschen, die unter Waschmittelallergien leiden, und in Gebieten mit weichem Wasser. Die entsprechende Kontrolllampe leuchtet auf. Zeitsparen (Zeit Sparen - Gain de Temps) Mit dieser Option können Sie die Programmdauer verkürzen. • Drücken Sie diese Taste einmal, um die Programmdauer für normal verschmutzte Wäsche zu verkürzen. • Drücken Sie diese Taste zweimal, um die Programmdauer „Extra Kurz“ für nur gering verschmutzte Wäsche einzustellen. Bei einigen Programmen kann jeweils nur eine dieser beiden Funktionen eingestellt werden. Zeitvorwahl (Zeitvorvahl Départ Différé) Mit dieser Option können Sie den Start eines Programms um 30 Minuten bis 20 Stunden verzögern. Im Display wird die entsprechende Anzeige eingeblendet. Kindersicherung Diese Option verhindert, dass Kinder mit dem Bedienfeld spielen. • Drücken Sie zum Ein-/Ausschalten dieser Option Temperatur - Température und U./Min. - T/min. gleichzeitig, bis die aufleuchtet/erlischt. Sind die akustischen Signale ausgeschaltet, ertönen sie nur noch dann, wenn eine Störung vorliegt. VOR DER ERSTEN INBETRIEBNAHME 1. Geben Sie 2 Liter Wasser in das Waschmittelfach für die Hauptwäsche. Dadurch wird das Abpumpsystem aktiviert. 2. Geben Sie eine kleine Waschmittelmenge in das Waschmittelfach für die Hauptwäsche. 3. Stellen Sie ein Koch-/Buntwäsche-Programm mit der höchsten Temperatur ein und starten Sie das Programm mit leerer Trommel. So werden alle eventuellen Verunreinigungen aus Trommel und Bottich entfernt. TÄGLICHER GEBRAUCH 1. Drehen Sie den Wasserhahn auf. 2. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die Steckdose. Damit der Gewichtssensor korrekt funktioniert, muss das Gerät eingeschaltet und ein Programm ausgewählt werden, BEVOR Sie Wäsche in die Trommel füllen. Einschalten des Geräts Drücken Sie Auto Off, um das Gerät einoder auszuschalten. Wird das Gerät eingeschaltet, ist eine Tonfolge zu hören. Einstellen eines Programms 1. Stellen Sie das Programm durch Drehen des Programmwahlschalters ein. • Die entsprechende Programmanzeige leuchtet auf. • Die Kontrolllampe Start/Pause - Départ/Pause blinkt. • Im Display wird Folgendes angezeigt: – die Standardtemperatur – die Schleuderdrehzahl – die Anzeiger der Programmphasen – die Programmdauer. 2. Ändern Sie ggf. die Temperatur, Schleuderdrehzahl und die Programmdauer, oder fügen Sie zur Auswahl stehende Optionen hinzu. Die Anzeige der gewählten Option leuchtet auf, sobald die Option eingeschaltet wird. Wenn Sie einen Fehler machen, erscheint im Display die Meldung Err. Einfüllen der Wäsche 1. Öffnen Sie die Tür des Geräts. 2. Das Display (J) zeigt die maximale Beladung für das Programm (MAX) und das Gewicht der Wäsche an (KG). 3. Geben Sie jedes Wäschestück einzeln in die Trommel. Schütteln Sie jedes Wäschestück leicht aus, bevor Sie es in die Trommel füllen. 4. Im Display wird das Gewicht in Schritten von 0,5 kg erhöht. Das Gewicht ist ein Richtwert und abhängig von der Art der Wäsche. Wenn das Gewicht der Wäsche die Höchstbeladung der Trommel überschreitet, beginnen die Symbole MAX und der Wert 0.0 zu blinken. Sie können die Wäsche waschen, jedoch bei erhöhtem Wasser- und Energieverbrauch. Für optimale Verbrauchswerte und Waschergebnisse sollten Sie einige Wäschestücke entfernen, bis die Symbole nicht mehr blinken. Die Anzeige für Überladung ist nur für Programme verfügbar, deren erlaubte Beladung niedriger ist als die Höchstbeladung der Maschine. 5. Schließen Sie die Tür. Die Anzeige 0.0 neben dem Symbol % im Display zeigt die empfohlene Waschmittelmenge an. Dies ist ein Richtwert und bezieht sich auf die Waschmittelmenge für eine vom Hersteller empfohlene Höchstbeladung. 37 Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Wäschestücke zwischen der Dichtung und der Tür stecken. Dies könnte zu Wasserlecks oder Beschädigungen der Wäsche führen. Verwendung von Wasch- und Pflegemitteln Waschmittelfach für die Vorwaschphase und das Einweichprogramm. Anzeige • Die Ablaufpumpe kann sich während des Wasserzulaufs eine kurze Zeit einschalten. 39 Etwa 15 Minuten nach dem Start des Programms: • Das Gerät passt die Programmdauer automatisch an die Beladungsmenge an. • Die neue Programmdauer wird im Display angezeigt. Schließen Sie die Tür und drücken Sie Start/Pause - Départ/Pause erneut. Die Zeitvorwahl ist weiter aktiv. Öffnen der Gerätetür während eines laufenden Programms: 1. Drücken Sie Start/Pause - Départ/ Pause. Das Gerät pumpt das Wasser ab und schleudert. 3. Wenn das Programm beendet ist und die Türverriegelungsanzeige erlischt, können Sie die Tür öffnen. 4. Halten Sie die Auto Off-Taste einige Sekunden lang gedrückt, um das Gerät auszuschalten. Nach etwa 18 Stunden pumpt das Gerät automatisch das Wasser ab und schleudert (außer beim Wollprogramm). Die Option AUTO OFF Über die Option „AUTO OFF“ wird das Gerät in den folgenden Fällen automatisch ausgeschaltet, um den Energieverbrauch zu senken: • Wenn Sie nicht innerhalb von 5 Minuten die Taste Start/Pause - Départ/Pause drücken. Drücken Sie die Taste Auto Off, um das Gerät wieder einzuschalten. • 5 Minuten nach Ende eines Waschprogramms. Drücken Sie die Taste Auto Off, um das Gerät wieder einzuschalten. Im Display wird das Ende des zuletzt eingestellten Programms angezeigt. Drehen Sie den Programmwahlschalter, um ein neues Programm einzustellen. TIPPS UND HINWEISE Beladung • Teilen Sie die Wäsche auf, in: Kochwäsche, Buntwäsche, Synthetik, Feinwäsche und Wolle. • Halten Sie sich an die Anweisungen auf den Kleidungsetiketten. • Waschen Sie weiße und bunte Wäsche nicht zusammen. • Manche farbigen Textilien können beim ersten Waschen färben. Wir empfehlen, sie deshalb die ersten Male separat zu waschen. • Knöpfen Sie Kopfkissen zu und schließen Sie Reißverschlüsse, Haken und Druckknöpfe. Schließen Sie Gürtel. • Leeren Sie die Taschen und falten Sie die Wäscheteile auseinander. • Wenden Sie mehrlagige Textilien, Wolle und bedruckte Wäschestücke vor dem Waschen. • Entfernen Sie hartnäckige Flecken. • Waschen Sie stark verschmutzte Bereiche mit einem speziellen Waschmittel. • Seien Sie vorsichtig mit Gardinen. Entfernen Sie die Haken, oder stecken Sie die Gardinen in einen Beutel oder Kopfkissenbezug. • Nicht im Gerät waschen: – Ungesäumte Wäschestücke und Wäschestücke mit Schnitten im Stoff – Bügel-BHs – Verwenden Sie einen Beutel zum Waschen von kleinen Textilien. • Eine sehr geringe Beladung kann in der Schleuderphase Probleme verursachen. Verteilen Sie die Wäschestücke in diesem Fall mit der Hand neu und starten Sie die Schleuderphase erneut. Hartnäckige Flecken Für manche Flecken sind Wasser und Waschmittel nicht ausreichend. Wir empfehlen, diese Flecken zu entfernen, bevor Sie die entsprechenden Textilien in das Gerät geben. Spezial-Fleckentferner sind im Handel erhältlich. Verwenden Sie einen SpezialFleckentferner, der für den jeweiligen Fleckentyp und Gewebetyp geeignet ist. Wasch- und Pflegemittel • Verwenden Sie nur speziell für Waschmaschinen bestimmte Wasch- und Pflegemittel. 41 • Mischen Sie nicht verschiedene Waschmittel. • Verwenden Sie der Umwelt zuliebe nicht mehr als die angegebene Waschmittelmenge. • Halten Sie sich an die Anweisungen auf der Verpackung dieser Produkte. • Verwenden Sie die korrekten Produkte für Art und Farbe des Gewebes, Programmtemperatur und Verschmutzungsgrad. • Ist Ihr Gerät nicht mit einer Klappe in der Waschmittelschublade ausgerüstet, geben Sie das Flüssigwaschmittel in eine Dosierkugel. Umwelttipps • Stellen Sie zum Waschen normal verschmutzter Wäsche ein Programm ohne Vorwäsche ein. • Waschen Sie immer mit der angegebenen maximalen Beladung. • Benutzen Sie ggf. einen Fleckentferner, wenn Sie ein Programm mit niedriger Temperatur auswählen. • Erkundigen Sie sich nach der Wasserhärte Ihres Hausanschlusses, um die richtige Waschmittelmenge verwenden zu können. Wasserhärte Wenn die Wasserhärte Ihres Leitungswassers hoch oder mittel ist, empfehlen wir die Verwendung eines Enthärters für Waschmaschinen. In Gegenden mit weichem Wasser ist die Zugabe eines Enthärters nicht erforderlich. Wenden Sie sich an Ihr örtliches Wasserversorgungsunternehmen, um die Wasserhärte in Ihrem Gebiet zu erfahren. Verwenden Sie die richtige Menge Wasserenthärter. Halten Sie sich an die Anweisungen auf der Verpackung des Produkts. REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE Warnung! Ziehen Sie vor der Reinigung immer den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose. Reinigen der Außenseiten Reinigen Sie das Gerät nur mit warmem Wasser und mit etwas Spülmittel. Reiben Sie alle Oberflächen sorgfältig trocken. Vorsicht! Verwenden Sie keinen Alkohol, keine Lösungsmittel und keine Chemikalien. Entkalken Wenn die Wasserhärte Ihres Leitungswassers hoch oder mittel ist, empfehlen wir die Verwendung eines Enthärters für Waschmaschinen. Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig, dass sich kein Kalk und keine Rostpartikel in der Trommel absetzen. Verwenden Sie zur Entfernung von Rost nur Spezialprodukte für Waschmaschinen. Füh- ren Sie die Entkalkung nicht gleichzeitig mit einer Wäsche durch. Halten Sie sich immer an die Anweisungen auf der Verpackung des Produkts. Waschgang zur Pflege der Maschine Bei Waschprogrammen mit niedrigen Temperaturen kann etwas Waschmittel in der Trommel zurückbleiben. In diesem Fall führen Sie die Schritte (1) bis (9) unter „Reinigen des Ablauffilters" durch. Reinigen Sie bei Bedarf die Pumpe. Wenn Sie das Wasser über die Notentleerung ablassen, müssen Sie das Abpumpsystem wieder einschalten: 1. Gießen Sie zwei Liter Wasser in das Waschmittelfach für die Hauptwäsche. 2. Starten Sie das Gerät, um das Wasser abzupumpen. Falls das Gerät in einem Bereich installiert ist, in dem die Temperatur unter 0 °C sinken kann, entfernen Sie das im Zulaufschlauch und in der Ablaufpumpe verbliebene Wasser. 1. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose. 2. Schließen Sie den Wasserhahn. 3. Entfernen Sie den Wasserzulaufschlauch. 4. Stecken Sie die beiden Enden des Zulaufschlauchs in einen Behälter und las- 45 sen Sie das Wasser aus dem Schlauch fließen. 5. Leeren Sie die Ablaufpumpe. Siehe Notentleerungsverfahren. 6. Befestigen Sie den Zulaufschlauch wieder, wenn die Ablaufpumpe entleert ist. Warnung! Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Temperatur über 0 °C liegt, bevor Sie das Gerät wieder einschalten. Der Hersteller ist nicht für Schäden verantwortlich, die auf zu niedrige Temperaturen zurückzuführen sind. FEHLERSUCHE Das Gerät startet nicht oder stoppt während des Betriebs. Versuchen Sie zunächst selbst eine Lösung für das Problem zu finden (siehe Tabelle). Wenn Sie keine Lösung finden, wenden Sie sich an den Kundendienst. Bei einigen Problemen ertönt ein Signalton und im Display wird ein Alarmcode angezeigt: • - Es läuft kein Wasser in das Gerät. • - Das Gerät pumpt das Wasser nicht ab. • - Die Gerätetür steht offen oder ist nicht richtig geschlossen. Überprüfen Sie bitte die Tür! Problem Das Programm startet nicht. • - Die Stromzufuhr ist nicht konstant. Warten Sie, bis die Netzspannung wieder konstant ist. • - Das Aqua-Control-System ist eingeschaltet. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus und drehen Sie den Wasserhahn zu. Wenden Sie sich an den Kundendienst. Warnung! Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, bevor Sie die Überprüfungen vornehmen. Mögliche Abhilfe Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Netzstecker in die Netzsteckdose eingesteckt ist. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Tür geschlossen ist. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass im Sicherungskasten keine Sicherung ausgelöst hat. Überzeugen Sie sich, dass „Start/Pause“ gedrückt wurde. Wenn die Zeitvorwahl eingestellt ist, brechen Sie die Zeitvorwahl ab oder warten Sie, bis sie abgelaufen ist. Schalten Sie die Kindersicherung aus, falls sie eingeschaltet ist. Es läuft kein Wasser in das Gerät. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Wasserzulauf geöffnet ist. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Wasserdruck der Wasserversorgung nicht zu niedrig ist. Diese Information erhalten Sie von Ihrem Wasserversorger. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Wasserzulauf nicht verstopft ist. Überzeugen Sie sich, dass der Filter des Zulaufschlauchs und der Filter des Ventils nicht verstopft sind. Siehe „Reinigung und Pflege“. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Zulaufschlauch nicht geknickt oder zu stark gekrümmt ist. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Wasserzulaufschlauch ordnungsgemäß angebracht ist. Das Gerät pumpt das Wasser nicht ab. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Siphon nicht verstopft ist. 46 Problem Mögliche Abhilfe Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Ablaufschlauch nicht geknickt oder zu stark gekrümmt ist. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Ablauffilter nicht verstopft ist. Reinigen Sie ggf. den Filter. Siehe „Reinigung und Pflege“. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Wasserablaufschlauch ordnungsgemäß angebracht ist. Haben Sie ein Programm ohne Abpumpphase gewählt, stellen Sie das Abpumpprogramm ein. Haben Sie ein Programm mit Spülstopp gewählt, stellen Sie das Abpumpprogramm ein. Das Gerät schleudert nicht oder das Waschprogramm dauert länger als gewöhnlich. Stellen Sie das Schleuderprogramm ein. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Ablauffilter nicht verstopft ist. Reinigen Sie ggf. den Filter. Siehe „Reinigung und Pflege“. Verteilen Sie die Wäschestücke mit der Hand neu und starten Sie die Schleuderphase erneut. Das Problem kann durch eine Unwucht verursacht worden sein. Es befindet sich Wasser auf dem Boden. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass alle Wasseranschlüsse vollkommen dicht sind, damit kein Wasser austreten kann. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Wasserablaufschlauch keine Beschädigungen aufweist. Verwenden Sie ein geeignetes Waschmittel in der richtigen Menge. Die Tür des Geräts lässt sich nicht öffnen. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Waschprogramm beendet ist. Stellen Sie das Abpump- oder Schleuderprogramm ein, wenn sich noch Wasser in der Trommel befindet. Das Gerät macht ungewöhnliche Geräusche. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät richtig ausgerichtet ist. Siehe hierzu „Montage“. Überzeugen Sie sich, dass das Verpackungsmaterial und/oder die Transportsicherungen entfernt wurden. Siehe hierzu „Montage“. Füllen Sie mehr Wäsche ein. Die Beladung ist möglicherweise zu gering. Das Wasser, das in das Gerät einläuft, wird sofort abgepumpt. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass sich der Ablaufschlauch in der richtigen Höhe befindet. Der Schlauch ist möglicherweise zu niedrig positioniert. Das Programm ist kürzer als die angezeigte Zeit. Das Gerät berechnet eine neue Programmdauer entsprechend der Beladung. Siehe Abschnitt „Verbrauchswerte“. Das Programm ist länger als die angezeigte Zeit. Wenn die Wäsche ungleich in der Trommel verteilt ist, verlängert sich die Programmdauer. Dies ist ein normales Verhalten des Geräts. Die Waschergebnisse sind nicht zufriedenstellend. Erhöhen Sie die Waschmittelmenge oder benutzen Sie ein anderes Waschmittel. Entfernen Sie vor dem Waschgang hartnäckige Flecken mit einem Spezialprodukt. Achten Sie darauf, die richtige Temperatur einzustellen. Verringern Sie die Beladung. 47 Schalten Sie das Gerät nach der Überprüfung wieder ein. Das Programm wird an der Stelle fortgesetzt, an der es unterbrochen wurde. Tritt das Problem erneut auf, wenden Sie sich an den Kundendienst. Wenn im Display andere Alarmcodes angezeigt werden: Schalten Sie das Gerät aus und wieder ein. Tritt das Problem erneut auf, wenden Sie sich an den Kundendienst.
