Candy LBCTS44 UNI is a feature-rich washing machine that offers great washing results in your own home. Lift the lid (A) and open completely. Next open the drum door following these instructions: 2. Press catch (B) and kept it pressed down. Press the first shutter (C) to unlock the two shutters (C) and (D). 3. Open the second shutter (D). Open the first shutter (C). Place the washing in the drum. C D NG LI HI NE AS I W ACH M DETERGENT DISPENSER B The detergent dispenser is divided into 4 compartments: • Compartment I, is for prewash powder detergent. The recommended quantity is 60 gm of detergent (for 4,5 kg of laundry). • Compartment II, is for wash powder detergent. The recommended quantity is 120 gm of detergent (for 4,5 kg of laundry). • The compartment is for bleach. The recommended quantity is 7 cl. • The compartment is for fabric conditioners, scenting agents and special additives. The recommended quantity is 5 cl. D The detergent compartment has two guidance lines: FR W ON M AS T AC HI OF HI NG T HE NE 4. Close the first shutter (C). Close the second shutter (D) so that the catch on the first shutter fits correctly into the slot. Release. • RECOMMENDED (lower line). This indicates the recommended level for the prewash and wash compartments. • MAX. This indicates the maximum level which should never be exceeded. C 5. Ensure that both shutters are perfectly aligned and properly closed. To select a programme: • Programmes are selected by means of the corresponding control knob (A). See the table of programmes. • Select the wash temperature by means of the corresponding control knob. ALWAYS ROTATE the control in a clockwise direction, never in an anticlockwise direction. Do not press the “on” button (H) before selecting the programme. If you wish to modify the position of the control or select another programme once a cycle has commenced, press the Start/Stop key. Press again to recommence once the modification has been completed. This saves water, detergent and electricity. The amount of detergent used should be reduced in proportion to the load. PROGRAMME SELECTOR KNOB USE OF THE SELECTION CONTROLS D. SPIN EXCLUSION BUTTON This control allows you to select the washing programmes. This button excludes the spin cycle from the wash programme. This option is recommended for special fabrics. ALWAYS ROTATE the control in a clockwise direction, never in an anticlockwise direction. Do not press the “on” button (H) before selecting the programme. If you wish to modify the position of the control or select another programme once a cycle has commenced, press the Start/Stop key. Press again to recommence once the modification has been completed. E. 1/2 LOAD BUTTON The water load for a small wash may be reduced by pressing the ( ) load button. This saves water, detergent and electricity. The amount of detergent used should be reduced in proportion to the load. ON/OFF PILOT LIGHT ON/OFF BUTTON If you wish to carry out a cold wash, turn the knob until the cold symbol coincides with the selector mark. THE KNOB CAN BE TURNED IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. In programmes 5, 6, 7 and 8 the washing machine stops with water in the drum at the end of the rinse cycle to prevent creasing. To finish the cycle, select programme Z to drain the drum. Another option is to select programme: gentle spin. Always turn the machine off with the ON/OFF button before selecting programme. 3. In programmes 1 and 2, add bleach in the appropriate compartment for automatic whitening. 4. Pour washing powder/liquid into the pre-wash compartment (compartment I). The maximum amount of bleach which can be used is shown on the specific indicator provided. The 32-minute fast programme can also be used as a pre-wash cycle with particularly heavily soiled clothes.
