The

Bogen SEC4T Compact Ceiling Speake

r is a small footprint speaker that is designed to be easily installed in ceiling tiles. The only tools needed are those to cut the mounting hole. No tools are required for wiring nor to secure the speaker. Connection is made quickly by selecting the power tap required and twisting two wires together with wire nuts. The speaker assembly is then inserted into the mounting hole in the ceiling tile, pushing the speaker into place as the spring-loaded clamps automatically snap downward to secure the speaker against the ceiling tile.

Architect & Engineering Specifications

The loudspeaker shall be a Bogen Model SEC4T (or equivalent), 4-inch wide-range cone-type speaker utiliz ing a secondary high-frequency cone. The frequency response shall be 70Hz to 20kHz. A transformer capa ble of matching an 8-ohm loudspeaker to a 25-volt or 70 volt line and providing taps of 4, 2, 1, 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8 watt(s) shall be included and mounted to the loud speaker frame. Dispersion angle shall be no less than 110 degrees. The speaker frame shall be made of steel with a white enamel finish. Metal mesh shall protect the back of the speaker by preventing ingress of debris from the ceiling.

The speaker shall be secured in a ceiling tile by spring-loaded clamps which snap into place as the speaker assembly is pushed into position, and no addi tional fasteners or tools shall be necessary.

Dimensions of the loudspeaker shall be 7.125” diameter and 3.00” overall height. Product weight shall be 2 lb.
