The Onyx Programming Card is a handheld devic e that allows users to easily adjust the features of the Onyx 80A and 120A brushless ESCs. The programmer is small and lightweight, making it highly portable and easy to take anywhere. This programmer allows the user to fi ne-tune the adjustable features of the ESC and is also great for quick, easy setup changes while at the track.

OPERATION

WARNING: Do not attempt to use ESC main battery and a separate six volt battery to power the programming card at the same time. This will result in permanent damage to the programming card.

Once a battery has been connected to the ESC or programming card, simply turn the ESC power on. The programming card LEDs will illuminate showing ITEM 1

(Running Mode) and the current VALUE for ITEM 1. The functions of the four buttons are as follows:

ITEM: The ITEM button and ITEM LED display represent the programmable feature that is to be adjusted. Use the reference chart located on the Programming Card. Example: Pressing the ITEM button three (3) times will bring up

“Cut-off Threshold”. A number 3 will also be displayed in the ITEM LED display.

VALUE: To change the value within a given setting, press the VALUE button. Use the reference chart located on the programming card to fi nd the desired setting. The VALUE LED will display the current value of the setting.

RESET: If a value is chosen that was undesired, press the RESET button to clear it out and return to the original setting of that given parameter.

OK: Once programming is completed, pressing the OK button will store the settings in the ESC. The Value LED will display a “-” showing that the setting has been entered.

Duratrax warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 180 days from the date of purchase. During that period, we will repair or replace, at our option, any product that does not meet these standards. You will be required to provide proof of purchase date (receipt or invoice). If, during the warranty period, your ESC shows defects caused by abuse, misuse or accident, it will be repaired or replaced at our option, at a service charge not greater than 50% of the current retail list price. Be sure to include your daytime telephone number in case we need to contact you about your repair. This warranty does not cover components worn by use, application or reverse voltage, cross connections, poor installation, subjection of components to foreign materials, any alterations to wires or tampering. In no case shall our liability exceed the original cost of the product.

Your warranty is voided if:

● You apply reverse voltage to the programming card. ● You tamper with any of the electronic components.

Under no circumstances will the purchaser be entitled to consequential or incidental damages. This warranty gives you specifi c legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. If you attempt to disassemble or repair this unit yourself it may void the warranty.
