Quick Installation Guide
This manual provides the instructions for the quick installation and the basic configuration of your camera with
the 30x optical zoom.
!
Please install the device after removing the bubble wrap inside the dome cover.
Caution
1. Connect cables to IP device
Connect the required cables to the device including a power cable and a LAN cable. To see the correct
positions of all the connectors, refer to the image below.

2. Install IP device
1) Loosen the three screws on the
top of the camera, and detach the
safety ring from the top.
2) Twist the top of the camera
counter-clockwise to separate it from
the main body, and push the lever of
the plastic cover at the bottom of the
top outward to open it. Then, insert
the provided terminal block to the
corresponding places on the PCB.
3) Drop all the necessary cables
through the neck of the camera’s top,
and fix the top to your installed
bracket or on the designated spot.
4) Install the provided ferrite cores on
the cables by winding cables around
the ferrite cores once. Refer to the
image on the left.
5) Connect all the cables to the
corresponding connectors by referring to
the image on the previous page. Then,
close the PCB on the top of the camera.

6) Hook the safety ring to the top of
the camera while carefully holding the
camera's main body, and align the
triangle marks on the top with the
main body.

7) Twist the main body counterclockwise once the camera’s top and
the main body are properly aligned,
and tighten the three screws on the
top.

The internal heater does not work when the device is powered via PoE.
Note
To prevent products from damage, place the camera on stable and non-vibrating
surfaces. If the stability is in doubt, consult safety personnel for reinforcements, and then

3. Set the lens position
The device is a 360° rotating camera and it is fully controlled by the web user interface. Once the
installation is complete and it is properly connected to the network, please refer to the webpage user’s
manual for the camera configuration instructions.
Also, the camera is equipped with the 30x optical zoom lens with the auto focus feature, and the zoom
and focus are also fully controlled by the web user interface. Refer to the webpage user’s manual for the
zoom/focus configuration instructions.
4. Set up network environment
The default IP address of the device is 192.168.XXX.XXX. Users can identify the IP address of the device from
converting the MAC address’s hexadecimal numbers, which is attached to the device. Be sure that the
device and PC are on a same area network before running the installation.
Generic IP Environment
In case of generic private network environment where IP address 192.168.XXX.XXX are used, users may
view the live streaming images on a web page using the device’s default IP address:
1.
Convert the device’s MAC address to the IP address. Refer to the Hexadecimal-Decimal Conversion
Chart at the end of the manual.
(The MAC address of the device is attached on the side or bottom of the device.)
MAC address = 00-13-23-01-14-B1 → IP address = 192.168.20.177
Convert the last two sets of hexadecimal numbers to decimal numbers.

Start the Microsoft® Internet Explorer web browser and enter the IP address of the device.
3.
Web streaming and device configurations are supported through ActiveX program. When the ActiveX
installation pop-up window appears, authorize and install the ActiveX setup.exe,

Custom IP Environment
Please access our website and download necessary IPAdminTool first:

IPAdminTool is a management tool, which automatically scans all of the network products for users to
perform administrative tasks, which includes network configurations, firmware update, device reboot, and
device organizations.
To modify the device’s default IP address for customized network area;
1. Find the device from the IPAdminTool’s list, and highlight the device’s name.
2. Right-click the mouse and select IP Address; IP Setup window appears.
* There are two options that are for a single device or for multiple devices respectively. For one device, click “Single”.
Give a new unique IP address by
modifying the last two digits.
3. On the New Information table in the Single IP Change window, modify the last two digits of the device’s
IP address, , and modify the rest parts including subnet mask, gateway, and DNS if necessary by
checking the user’s PC network area information.
4. Input the correct ID and PW of the device (default: root / pass).
5. Click Apply to complete the modification.

5. View video on web page
Installation of ActiveX control
Once the device’s proper IP address has been identified, type the URL in a web browser to access the
camera. At first time access, installation window may pop up.
1.
When the browser asks to install the AxUMF software, click Install to proceed.
2.
When the setup installation pop-up window appears, click Install to proceed with rest of installations.

Note
Depending on system OS and Internet Explorer version, installation experience may
differ from one another. Figures described above are from Windows 7, Internet
Explorer 9 environment.
Login to webpage
To set up the Network configuration:

Click Setup on the upper right of the web page. The login page is displayed as below.
Enter the default user name (root) and password (pass), and then select OK.
The default username
and password are:
root and pass.

6. Reboot
Perform the following procedures to reset your device:
On the Device

Press the reset button for 2 seconds while the device is powered on.
Wait for the system to reboot.

Caution
Please do not hold the reset button for more than 2 seconds. Otherwise, the camera
may be switched to its factory default settings.
On the Camera’s Webpage

Go to Setup > Maintenance > Reboot.
Click Reboot to reboot the device.
7. Factory Default
Resetting the device back to the factory default will initialize all parameters including the IP address back to
the factory defaults. To reset back to the factory default:
On the Device
1. Press the reset button and hold it while the device is powered on.
2. Release the button after 10 seconds.
3. Wait for the system to reboot.
On the Camera’s Webpage

Go to Setup > Maintenance > Reset All Settings.
Select the items that you want to keep from the initialization among network settings, user account
information, and time zone setting.
Click Reset All Settings.
The factory default settings can be inferred as follows:

Gateway: 192.168.0.1
User ID: root
Password: pass

8. Safe Mode
Your device will get restarted in safe mode if the device does not completely boot certain times.
The errors are mainly caused by these factors below:
* The power supply is continually unplugged certain times in the middle of system booting.
* The firmware files required for system booting are damaged.
* There are conflicts in the system settings.
You will see the page to indicate that your device is in safe mode and to guide you what to do step by
step.
Follow the instructions on the webpage according to each step.

There is another method to update firmware, which is using IPAdminTool.
Please refer to ‘IPAdminTool User’s Manual.pdf’ for the detailed procedure.
If your device is still in safe mode after trying to update firmware, please contact your
local agency to get further assistance.
