WARNING:

CAUTION:
Disconnect spark plug wire.
Remove spark plug from engine.
Refer to operator’s manual for detailed mounting instructions and proper torque settings.

BLADE REMOVAL
AND INSTALLATION:
Wear heavy gloves to protect your hands.
Use a torque wrench for installing the blade.
1. Turn off the fuel valve. Disconnect the spark plug cap. Tilt the mower on its side
(air filter side up).
2. To prevent the blades from moving, use a wooden block or attach the 490-850-0005
Arnold Blade Removal Tool. Using a 14 mm socket, remove the two blade bolts from the holder. Remove the blades.
3. Clean around the blade holder. Using the bolts and special washers as shown, install the new blades. NOTE: The concave side of the washers goes toward the blade.
4. To prevent the blades from moving as you tighten them, use a wooden block or attach the 490-850-0005 Arnold Blade Removal Tool.
With a torque wrench, tighten the bolts to:
36 ~ 43 ft-lb (49 ~ 59 N•m)
SAFETY RULES:
1. Never allow children to operate a power mower.
Only persons well acquainted with rules of safe operation should be allowed to use your mower.
2. Keep the area of operation clear of all foreign objects and persons, particularly small children and pets. Stop engine when they are in the vicinity of your mower. A small object may have been overlooked and could be accidentally thrown by the mower in any direction.
3. Do not operate equipment when barefoot or wearing open sandals. Always wear substantial footwear.
4. Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating parts.
Keep clear of the discharge opening at all times.
5. Stop the blade(s) when crossing gravel drives, walks or roads.
6. Shut the engine off and wait until the blade comes to a complete stop before removing the grass catcher or unclogging the chute.
7. Never operate mower without proper guards, plates or other safety protection devices in place.

EXTRACCIÓN E INSTALACIÓN DE CUCHILLAS:
Use guantes gruesos para proteger las manos. Utilice una llave de torsión para la instalación de la cuchilla.
1. Cierre la válvula de combustible. Desconecte la tapa de la bujía.
Apoye el cortacésped sobre un lado (filtro de aire hacia arriba).
2. Para evitar que las cuchillas se muevan, utilice un bloque de madera o aplique la herramienta para extracción de cuchillas Arnold
490-850-0005. Con una llave de tubo de 14 mm, retire del sujetador los dos pernos de las cuchillas. Retire las cuchillas.
3. Limpie la zona del sujetador de las cuchillas. Mediante los pernos y arandelas especiales, como se muestra, instale las nuevas cuchillas.
NOTA: El lado cóncavo de las arandelas va hacia la cuchilla.
4. Para evitar que las cuchillas se muevan a medida que las aprieta, use un bloque de madera o aplique la herramienta para extracción de cuchillas Arnold 490-850-0005. Con una llave de torsión, apriete los pernos a 36 ~ 43 lb·pie (49 ~ 59 N·m)
REGLAS DE SEGURIDAD:
1. Nunca permita que los niños manejen un cortacésped motorizado.
El uso de su cortacésped debe permitirse únicamente a personas bien familiarizadas con las reglas de operación segura.
2. Mantenga la zona de operación libre de objetos extraños y de personas ajenas, especialmente niños pequeños, así como de mascotas. Detenga el motor cuando alguno de ellos esté en la vecindad de su cortacésped. Algún objeto pequeño puede haber sido pasado por alto, y podría ser lanzado accidentalmente por el cortacésped en cualquier dirección.

4. No coloque sus manos o pies cerca o debajo de las piezas rotativas. Manténgase lejos de la abertura de descarga en todo momento.
5. Al cruzar entradas para autos, senderos o caminos de grava, detenga el funcionamiento de la(s) cuchilla(s).
6. Antes de extraer el colector de césped o de desatascar la rampa, apague el motor y espere hasta que la cuchilla se detenga por completo.
7. Nunca maneje el cortacésped sin que estén colocadas las defensas, placas u otros dispositivos de protección de seguridad.
