The protective round metal enclosure shall be the
University Sound Model CBS-1. The enclosure shall be constructed of painted, one-piece 22-gauge drawn steel and shall have applied in its interior a fire retardant, resonance damping material. The enclosure shall have a perforated steel mounting strap on the top , and four combination 112" - 3 / 4" knockouts .

The ceiling loudspeaker baffle shall be the University
Sound Model GBSR . The baffle shall fit S"-diameter ceiling loudspeakers by means of four screws through four mounting holes in the baffle. The baffle shall be of a circular shape, and be constructed of 22-gauge cold rolled steel, treated with zinc for corrosion resistance . The finish shall be a white baked epoxy . There shall be a onestep contour in the baffle to provide an offset from the mounting surface . The baffle shall attach to all standard backboxes, plaster rings, and bridge supports with screws . The University Sound Model GBSR has been specified.
The ceiling speaker support bridge shall be the University
Sound Model TB-1 . It shall be sized to fit S" diameter ceiling speakers . The mounting hole shall be square, and well within the diameter of most round and square speaker baffles. The bridge shall have a multiplicity of mounting options, so as to accommodate round and square speaker baffles , round and square backboxes with or without torsion springs , and installations without any backbox.
The construction of the bridge shall be corrosive-resistant steel. The University Sound Model TB-1 has been specified .
The autotransformer attenuator shall be the University
Sound VC-1 mounted to a standard gang brushed stainless steel wall plate . The wall plate shall mount to a standard electrical junction box and shall be embossed with attenuator position indicators . The attenuator shall have two 6 dB steps for the first two positions and eight 3 dB steps for the third through tenth positions, and shall be able to accommodate 25 Volt or 70.7 Volt input lines. The switch shall have Silver-plated contacts. The power rating shall be 10 Watts, and the attenuation range shall be 36 dB. The University Sound Model VC-1 has been specified .
