This front derailleur is for triple front chainwheel use only. Il cannot be used with the double front
chainwheel, as the shifting points do not malch.
= When installing the lop roule type, choose a frame hal has three outer Quête carie Fiat

* Use an outer casing which slill has some length to spare even when the \
handlebars are turned all the way lo both sides. Furlhermore, check that the
shifting lever does not touch lhe bicycle frame when the handlebars are
turned all the way.
= Adjust the RD-C201, C101 Rapid Rise rear derailleur {reverse spring type)
from lhe low side.
« Because lhe high cable resislance of a frame with internal cable
routing would impair the SIS function, this type ol Irame should not be
used,
* Always be sure lo use the HG sprocket set bearing the same group
marks. Never use in combination wilh a sprocket bearing a dilferent
group mark,
* Grease the inner cable and the inside of lhe ouler casing belore use lo
ensure thal they slide properly.
» For smooth operation, use the specified outer casing and bottom
bracket cable guide,
= Operalion ol lhe levers related to gear shifling should be made only when lhe front chainwheel is
turning.

Install using the TL-UN74-S special lool. First install the main
body, then the adapter. Aller lhis, use an 8 mm Allen key to
install the front chainwheel.

1. Low adjustment
First remove lhe Pro-Set alignment block
Next, set so that ihe clearance between lhe chain guide inner plale
and the chain is 0-0.5 mm.

2. Securing the inner cable
Cul off the excess lenglh ol inner cable and then install the inner
end cap.
Note:
Pass lhe cable

. Adjustment of the intermediate chainring
When carrying oul adjustmenl, sel lhe chain to the largest sprocket,
and at the front, sel the chain to lhe intermediate chainring. Adjust
using the ower casing adjustment barrel so thal the clearance
between the chain guide inner plate and the chain is 0-0.5 mm.
5. Troubleshooting chart
Ater completion ol steps 1 - 4, move {he shifting lever lo check the
shifting. (This also applies if shilling becomes difficult during use.)

Connect the cable lo lhe rear derailleur
and, after taking up the initial slack in the
cable, re-secure to Ihe rear derailleur as
shown in the illustration,

Operale Ihe Revoshift while turning the crank arm to move
the derailleur lo the largest sprockel. Then operate ithe
Revoshifi once to move Lhe derailleur lo he 2nd-gear
sprocket. Aller this, operate Ihe Revoshift just as far as Ihe
extent of play, and then turn the crank arm.

The best selling ls whon ho cable adjustment bolt is
tightened (lumed clockwisa) until nolse occurs without the
Rovoshilt being operated, and thon loosaned (tumed
countorclockwise) 90 - 180 degrees from that point
Operate the Revoshift lo change gears, and check that no
noise occurs in any of the gear posilions,
For the best SIS performance, periodically lubricate
all power-transmission paris,
Inserting the inner cable
Insert the inner cable into the outer casing from lhe end
with the marking on it. Apply grease from the end with the
marking in order to
maintain cable
operaling efficiency.

Cutting the outer casing
When cutting the outer casing, cut the opposite end to the
end with the marking. Aer culling the — o

Replacing the inner cable
1. Turn the lever io lhe inilial position.
2. Loosen lhe lever fixing bolt, and then rolate the lever until
the cover fixing bolt can be turned, {Fig. 1)
After this, remove 1he cover fixing bolt and then remove lhe
cover. (Fig. 2)

. Pull cut the inner cable and replace it wilh the new inner
cable. (Fig. 3)

. Aller installing the cover, rotate the lever to return it to ils
original position, and then lighten Lhe lever fixing bolt.
Replacement of the freewheel body
After removing the hub axle, remove the freewheel body fixing
boll {inside the freewheel body), and then replace the
freewheel body.
Note: Do not attempt 10 disassemble the freewheel body,
because it may result in a malfunction.
