Frequently asked questions

To set up the receiver, attach the antennas, connect the power supply and audio output to an amplifier or mixer, then power it on. Use the menu to select microphone or line level. For frequency setup, use the Guided Frequency Setup feature, which provides step-by-step instructions to initialize a new system or add a receiver.

You can pair a transmitter using the IR Sync feature. Turn on the transmitter and align its IR port with the receiver's IR port. Then, press the sync button on the receiver to automatically program the transmitter to the receiver's frequency.

SLX-D transmitters are compatible with Shure SB903 Li-ion rechargeable batteries or 1.5V AA batteries (Alkaline, NiMH, or Lithium). To ensure accurate runtime display, navigate to the transmitter's Battery screen and select the installed AA battery type. This step is not necessary if a Shure rechargeable battery is installed.

You can connect multiple SLX-D receivers using standard Ethernet cables. Each receiver has an internal DHCP client for automatic network configuration when connected to a DHCP-enabled router. For three or more units, a network switch is recommended. Ensure all components are on the same subnet.

Navigate to the receiver's Gain screen to monitor audio levels and adjust the receiver gain. Test the transmitter at performance levels and adjust the gain to keep the audio indicator within the optimal range. Reduce the gain if you hear any audible distortion.
