Precautions

(1) Don't use this player when driving, riding or operating a vehicle as it may lead to traffic accidents. Even when walking on roads, listening with high volume is also hazardous. Please pay special attention or do not use the player in places with potential hazard.

(2) Before switching on the player, please plug in the earphones to avoid damaging the earphones or the player. Turn off the player when you stop using it.

(3) Keep the player clean. Don’t place it near a heat source or expose it to direct sunlight, dust, humidity or rain.

(4) If the surface becomes dusty, clean it with a soft, slightly dampened cloth. Never use any alcohol or diluted detergent to clean it.

(5) Don't use the player in a very dry environment to avoid static electricity.

(6) Please make sure that the player is not disconnected in the process of formatting or uploading and downloading to avoid program mistakes.

(7) When it is used as mobile disk, make sure you read and write files correctly. Any incorrect operation may lead to the loss of data.

Attention: because of the different memory calculation method and the fact that the player software is stored in the device flash memory there will be a difference between the indicated memory capacity and real capacity. The real flash memory capacity is less than the marked memory capacity of this device. This is normal. The available flash memory to store your files varies according to the size of firmware installed on your player. Please refer the table below for more details.

Charging the Battery

This product has a built-in rechargeable Li-Polymer battery. You can connect the MP3 player to your PC using a USB cable or use an AC adapter to charge the battery.

A battery icon ( ) will be displayed at the upper right corner of the screen when the player is in use. The following icons indicate the charging status of the battery:

(1) When the battery is charging, a charging battery icon is displayed. When the battery is charged, a full battery is displayed:

(2) The following icon will replace the charging one when the battery is full but the power supply is not cut off.

Note:

When the battery is low, the player shut off automatically, but all settings will be saved.

Power saving mode: the user can define the time off mode, such as stop off, sleep off, backlight off to save power.

Note: The MP3 player only accepts the standard USB 2.0 output voltage and current to charge the built-in Li-ion battery: 5-Volt voltage and less than 500 mA current. If the charging voltage and current are out of this range, it will damage the battery and the MP3 player. Please make sure that the output voltage and current of the USB port on your PC are correct before charging this player. Use the supplied AC adapter. If you use the AC adapter and the screen blinks during charging, please use the PC USB port to charge the player instead.

Connecting and Downloading

Connecting to PC

Plug the USB cable into your PC, and connect the other end to the MP3 player.

Downloading files

When the connection is done, select the desired files on the PC and click the right key to copy them. Then paste them into the player.

Removing hardware from the USB port

Double click on the safely remove hardware icon located at the lower right corner of the screen.

In the safely remove hardware dialog box, select

“USB Mass Storage Device” and click “Stop” .

The screen will display “Stop a Hardware Device” and then click “OK” key. When the screen displays “Safe To Remove

Hardware”, the player can be safely removed from the PC.

Switching the player on/off

(1) Press the button for about 2 seconds to turn on the player.

(2) Press it again for about 2 seconds to turn off the player.

Resetting the player

Press the RESET using a sharp point such as a needle to reset the player, then the player switches off automatically.

Operation in Music / Voice mode

A.

Press the button to pause or resume the playback. Press and hold this button to stop the player and return to the Main menu.

B.

Press V+/V- button to adjust the volume. Press and hold these buttons to adjust the volume quickly.

C.

Press / button to skip to previous / next track. Press and hold these buttons to go fast backward or forward .

D.

In music mode, press the button to stop the player.

E.

Voice recording: Press and hold / button to return to the main menu.

Press / button to select Voice mode and then

Note: In radio mode, the earphones must be connected to the player since the neck strap serves as an FM antenna.

To play a recorded file, go to Voice menu and select the file. P ress the button to start, pause or resume play. Voice recordings are called “MIC00001” for example, whereas radio recordings are called “FM00001”.

Setting up the player

You can setup the player via the Settings menu. You can adjust the following elements: Time, Power, Language, Display, Record, Sys Tools &

Hold time.

Time

This option allows you to adjust the date, time and time zone.

Adjust: Press the V+/V- buttons to select Adjust and then press the button to confirm. Press to select the date or time field and press the

V+/V- buttons to adjust.

Press the button to confirm and return to the previous menu.

Time Zone: Press the V+/V- buttons to select the time zone and then press the button to confirm.

Press the V+/V- buttons to adjust the time zone.

Press and hold button to confirm and return to the Settings main menu .

Power

There are two options to choose: Auto off or Always on.

Auto off: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes, Close.

The player will turn off automatically after the preset duration and if “Close” is selected, automatic shut down is switched off.

Always on: select “YES” or “NO”. If you select “YES”, automatic shut down is switched off.

Language

There are seven options to choose from: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch.

Display

There are two options to choose: Brightness, Backlight.

Brightness: High, Medium, Low, Maximum.

Backlight: 15 Seconds, 30 Seconds, 1 Minute or always on.

The player backlight will turn off automatically if it is idle for 15 seconds, 30 seconds or 1 minute. and if “Close” is selected, the backlight does not switch off.

Record

This option allows you to set the recording quality of files. You can choose High Quality, Normal Quality or Low Quality.

System Tools

There are five options to choose from: Delete, Format, Reset, Sys Info, Delete all.

Delete: To delete a single file stored in this player.

Format: To format the files stored in this player.

Reset: Restore the original settings.

Sys Info: To check the remaining capacity and the software version of this player.

Delete all: To delete all the files stored in this player .

Hold Time

There are six options to choose from: 10 sec, 30 sec, 1 min, 3 min, 5 min, or Off.

The player will be locked automatically after the preset duration and if “Off” is selected, the player cannot be locked.

Note: To unlock the player, press and hold down the button about 2 seconds.

Warnings

Low battery

“Low battery” will be displayed on the screen to remind the user to charge the battery in time.

No file

“No File” will be displayed on the screen if there is no file corresponding to the selected mode in the player.

Key locked

There will be no response on pressing any button if the key locked function is activated.

Press and hold button about 2 seconds to unlock the player.

Memory full

When the player’s memory is full, “Memory full’ will be displayed on the screen.

Troubleshooting

If there is no picture displayed after the player is connected to PC and you cannot use the player as a storage disk or if you can’t switch it on after the battery is fully charged, please update the software in the player by downloading it from the supplied CD.
