13.Outdoor Antenna grounding - If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the unit, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges.
Article 81() of the National Electrical Code, ANS1/NFPA
No. 70, provides information with respect to proper grounding of the lnast and supporting structure, grounding ol the lead-in wire to an antenna dischalge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenlm-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirelnents li_l" the grounding electrode. For safe operation and satisfactory performance of your unit, keep the following in mind when selecting a place for its installation:
