Dynamic sensation with maximum safety.

With its 4-wheel steering, the 4Control chassis gives you a unique sense of precision, responsiveness and handling.

The 4Control system acts on the steering angle of the rear wheels relative to your speed. Below 37 mph (1) the rear wheels point in the opposite direction to those at the front. So, the turning circle is reduced, meaning easier manoeuvring, and improved handling on winding roads. Above 37 mph (2) the rear wheels point in the same direction as the front wheels. When cornering, this means the rear tyres are perfectly aligned for the direction in which you’re turning, and steering wheel movement (3) is decreased. This makes the New Laguna Coupé highly stable when driving round bends. For maximum safety, the 4Control computer is also linked to the ESP and ABS electronic systems. Because it can recognise emergency situations immediately, it adjusts the steering angle for the rear wheels instantaneously, so you can safely make quick avoidance manoeuvres.

To achieve exceptional performance, the New Laguna Coupé is equipped with exceptional engines. Because diesel engines are becoming synonymous with performance, economy and pleasure, the New Laguna Coupé gives a taste of the future with its unparalleled

V6 dCi engine. Delivering an astounding 235 hp, this engine is at the very top of its class. It sets itself apart, with a stunningly smooth, linear torque of 450 Nm that allows dynamic take-off, continuous acceleration and lightning responses.

When it comes to petrol engines, the 3.5 V6 (240 hp – 330 Nm) engine, like the

V6 dCi, is combined with an automatic 6-Speed gearbox that is both precise and convenient, giving you a choice between sequential mode and a fully automatic drive. Both these highly developed powerplants enable the

New Laguna Coupé to deliver a stunning standard of performance – with acceleration up to 62 mph in 7.3 seconds, and the ability to cover a quarter of a mile in just 15.25 seconds.

V6 powerplants, petrol engines include the

2.0 Turbo delivering 205 hp, which translates to over one hundred hp per litre. When it comes to diesel, the 150 and 180 hp dCi engines have an excellent performance to consumption ratio. Their high torque levels are ably demonstrated in a muscular pick-up from a standing start. And then, depending on your individual view of driving pleasure, you can also choose between a 6-Speed manual or an adaptive automatic gearbox.

The engineers at Renault and Bose ® have combined their talents to develop a unique customised sound system that is perfectly adapted to the acoustics of the car. More than a thousand measurements were taken to create the precise acoustic profi le of the cabin.

This research has allowed us to design bespoke audio equipment based on a powerful 10-way component system of compact Bose ® speakers, controlled by a digital amplifi er with six equaliser channels.

For maximum comfort, the high-performance climate control system offers several functions, including a "silence" mode (soft button).

And with the adjustable cruise control and speed limiter on the steering wheel, long journeys become much less tiresome.

The speed limiter function helps you keep to speed limits. The clear and complete display gives you all the information you need, while controls under the steering wheel put all the main functions at your fingertips, without needing to take your hands off the wheel. The door mirrors are adjusted electrically and fold in automatically when the engine stops, and are fitted with side indicators. 50 > 51

The rear seat provides two full passenger spaces fitted with adjustable headrests, so that two can travel in safety, while enjoying a high level of comfort.

The central console provides useful storage space, and the generous 423 litre boot is spacious enough to carry two golf bags. With the Super-Fold, simply press a button in the boot to fold the rear seat by

1/3, 2/3 or completely to give maximum flat loading space.

Bi-Xenon headlights give an intense beam, for a better view of road contours and verges.

Powerful rear lights with LED ensure that you’re perfectly visible in traffi c. Even in bad weather or with dazzle, each time you brake it will be immediately obvious to other drivers – an extra element of safety. For maximum protection of passengers the seats are fi tted with active headrests that reduce the risk of whiplash in the case of a rear-end collision.

A child seat can be fi tted to either side of the back seat thanks to the ISOFIX child seat mounting points. And to make parking manoeuvres easier, the parking sensors alert you to any obstacles in front or behind.

The Coupé version has a distinctive sporty elegance with its

Dark Charcoal fabric upholstery. For maximum driving comfort, even the passenger seat is height adjustable, while the de-icing door mirrors are electrically adjustable. Dual-zone climate control gives you personalised temperature control.

The Laguna Coupé is fi tted with stylish 18" 'Interlagos' alloy wheels.

COUPE GT

In combination with the 4Control chassis, the Coupé GT version shows its sports credentials by providing the same standard of equipment as the Coupé version. Full black leather upholstery comes as standard. You also have the option of selecting from three other shades of leather. The matching steering wheel is fi nished in black leather and embellished with overstitching.

The pedals and gearknob are aluminium, as are the

18" ‘Celsium’ alloy wheels.

The sport kit and special alloy wheels emphasise the sporty character of the

New Laguna Coupé. The kit consists of special front and rear bumpers as well as two mudfl aps. The Renault alarm, which is compatible with the electronic system, protects the car against attempted break-ins and detects any movement inside of the vehicle.

The New Laguna Coupé can be fi tted with a detachable RDSO towbar that can be removed without tools in a matter of seconds. Combined with a bicycle carrier mounted on the towbar, it can carry between one and three bicycles.

The multi-functional TunePoint tucked away in the glove compartment allows you to connect all types of media to the sound system inside the car.

And if you have to drive on snowy surfaces, snow chains are available, and can be fi tted in seconds.

A mechanical system with electronic dynamic logic.

Developed jointly by the Renault and Renaultsport technology teams, the 4Control 4-wheel steering chassis is based on electronic control of the vehicle’s stability. The steering wheel angle and vehicle speed are communicated to the 4Control computer by the ESP/ABS unit (1).

The rate of steering wheel movement is also taken into consideration, to detect sporty driving situations or avoidance manoeuvres immediately.

Depending on these parameters, the 4Control computer (2) controls steering of the rear wheels using an electric actuator positioned on the rear axle (3). Accurate, consistent real-time modelling and monitoring of the vehicle’s stability and handling means that it thinks for you,

and gives directional control in an instant.
