MyBinding Akiles CoilMax-EX Pro is an advanced coil binding machine designed for professional-quality binding. It features a 4:1 oval hole punch, electric coil crimper, and inserter, making it suitable for a wide range of binding projects.
The CoilMax-EX Pro can punch up to 25 sheets (20 lb paper) at a time, and its fully disengageable pins allow for precise hole placement. The electric coil crimper ensures secure crimps, and the coil inserter makes it easy to insert coils into punched documents.

Make sure the Function Control on the front of the machine is set to Punch. 2. Use the Punch Throat Ruler and Side Margin Control to center the punching of your document (Picture 1 and 2). To see if you need to disengage any holes, insert a sheet and disengage any hole that is left partially exposed on the Punch Throat Ruler. Remove Allen key from the machine, then turn ON the power and press the foot pedal to make sure machine operates correctly. Coil Inserting & Crimping Inserting 1, Unlock Roller Adjustment Knob (turn counter-clockwise) and adjust the Bottom Roller foward or backward on the Roller Adjustment Scale depending on the size of the coil being used, Lock the Roller Adjustment Anob (turn clockwise) once aligned. (See picture 1) 2. Hand insert the coil into the first 4 or 5 punched holes. (See picture 2) 3, Flip the Roller On / Off Switch to start the coil inserter. Hold document evenly, so that the coil touches the roller and spins into the book. Once the coil is all the way through, remove the book from the roller. If the coil goes too far, flip the book and spin the coil into the book again. ‘Your goal is to have the coil protrude about 1° on each side of the document. Turn off the Roller ON / OFF Switch when you are done. (See picture 3) Crimping 1. Make sure the Crimp / Punch Toggle is зе to Crimp. Turn Crimper Head Adjustment Knob fully clockwise (6-25 mm) or counter-clockwise (25-50 mm) depending on the coil size being crimped (See picture da). Place the booklet on the Crimper Unit (See picture 4b). 2. Step on the foot pedal and the electnic crimper will cut and crimp one end of the coil.
