External Display Interface (EDI)

A particularly convenient function offered by the External Display Interface (EDI) is the ability to connect to the standard display in the cockpit when installing a VDO Special

Line car radio.* This makes the new VDO

Special Line radios the ideal replacement for an outdated original radio. In addition, a practical steering wheel remote control can be connected.**

Full Detach

The VDO Special Line car radios offer highly visible anti-theft protection in the form of a fully detachable front panel. It is immediately apparent to potential thieves that in its protected state the system is not worth stealing. The front panel is easy to transport and fits into any handbag.

Line car radios can be controlled using just one hand. This boosts driving safety and comfort by allowing the driver to stay in control of their vehicle at all times. An original steering wheel remote can be connected directly to the device or using an adaptor.

Service interval computer

The service interval computer performs all the functions usually associated with an on-board computer, such as displaying the inspection schedule and distance. It also warns the driver when a predefined maximum speed is exceeded, making every journey a little bit safer and more relaxed.
