Consumption values were measured in normalized conditions, in compliance with IEC/EN 60456. In the home, they may vary depending on the individual water supply pressure and temperature, the load and the type of wash. The consumption data indicated are based on an inlet water temperature of approx.
15 °C through the cold fill valve as well as the hot fill valve (if available). If your washing machine has a hot fill valve, connection of this valve to hot water supply will lower the energy consumption by reduced heating times, depending on the individual hot fill inlet water temperature.
Water and energy consumptions refer to the default setting of the programmes, with temperature and load as indicated in the table; selecting any options or changing the spin speed will also change the consumption data.
*
The programme duration may differ from the values indicated above as it depends on the operation conditions applicable at that time (see also
“Troubleshooting Guide” in your Instructions for Use).
Reference programmes for Energy Label. For reasons of energy saving, the real water temperature may deviate from the declared cycle temperature.
**
***
To reduce the water temperature, some cold water is added at the end of the main wash cycle before the water is drained.
Automatic adaptation of programme duration after detection of wash load.
LOAD LAUNDRY, ADD DETERGENT AND
SELECT THE PROGRAMME
• Do not use liquid detergent for the main wash when selecting “Prewash”.
Load the laundry, close the door and add detergent as indicated on the front page and as described in the chapter “Detergent and
Additives” in your Instructions for Use. Turn the programme selector to the desired programme and temperature.
The predefined spin speed lights up. The “Start/Pause” indicator blinks. The washing machine is designed to save energy, therefore, if you have selected a programme but do not start it within about a quarter of an hour, it will switch off automatically. To switch it on again, turn the programme selector to “Off/O” and then to the desired programme again.
“Cold wash” button
• Saves energy used for water heating while maintaining a good wash result.
• Recommendable for lightly soiled laundry without stains.
• Make sure that your detergent is suitable for cold wash temperatures (15 or 20 °C).
“Rapid” button
• Enables quicker washing by shortening the programme duration.
• Recommendable for only lightly soiled laundry.
SELECT ANY DESIRED OPTION
Push the button of any option desired - the indicator lights up.
If the combination programme/option or option/option is not possible, the indicator switches off automatically.
“Prewash” button
• Adds a prewash cycle to the wash programme selected; prolongs the programme by about a quarter of an hour.
• Recommended for heavily soiled laundry (e.g. with sand or granular dirt).
“Rinse hold” button
• The laundry remains in the last rinse water without progressing to the final spin cycle to avoid creasing and prevent colours from changing.
• Particularly useful if you want to postpone spinning to a later time, or if you want to drain only.
• The programme stops to “Rinse hold” at the time the
“Rinse hold” indicator in the programme flow bar is on.
The “Start/Pause” indicator blinks.
Terminate the “Rinse hold” option :
• Press the “Start/Pause” button ; the programme will terminate automatically with the final spin cycle for the present wash programme.
• If you do not wish to spin the clothes, turn the programme selector to the “Drain” programme and press the “Start/
Pause” button to start draining.
“Spin” button
• Every programme has a predefined spin speed; press the button if you want to set a different spin speed.
• If spin speed “0” is selected, the final spinning is cancelled and the water is drained only. However, intermediate spin phases remain during rinse.
START DELAY
The “Start delay” allows to run the machine at the consumer’s convenience, for example at night when electricity is cheaper. Do not use liquid detergent when activating
“Start delay”.
• Select programme, temperature and options.
• Press the “Start delay” button to select a delay time of
1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 hours.
• Press the “Start/Pause” button .
The countdown of the delay time begins.
• The delay time indicator goes off when the programme starts and it is replaced by the programme flow bar indication.
• Once having pressed the “Start/Pause” button the delay time can be changed by pressing again the

As long as a wash programme is running, the door remains locked and must on no account be forced open. In case you have an urgent need to open it during a running programme, refer to “Reset a running programme”.
FAILURE INDICATORS
If one of the failure indicators blinks, consult the
“Troubleshooting Guide” in your Instructions for Use.
“Water tap closed”: no or not sufficient inlet water.
