REFERENGE
<Exposure>
Exposureis the act of exposingthe film to light,thus convertingbrightness
valuesin a sceneto tonalvalueson film. Exposureis composedof the size of
the openingin the lens (theaperture)and the durationof time in whichthe light
passesthroughthe lens to strikethe film (the shutterspeed.)
<Shutter speed>
The cameraadjuststhe amountof lightto whichthe film is exposedby adjusting
the lengthof time in whichthe shutteris open. The lengthof time that the
shutteris open is calledthe shutterspeed.
<Aperture value>
The apertureis an openingin the lens. The amountof lightpassingthroughthe
apertureto the film is adjustedby increasingor decreasingthe diameterof the
opening.The sizeof this openingis calledthe aperturevalue.
<Film speed or sensitivity (lSO value)>
The film speed indicatesthe extentto whichthe film reactsto light,and is
expressedas a figuredeterminedby the ISO (lnternational
Standardization
Organization).
The lowerthe ISO number,the lowerthe film'ssensitivityto light. Film with a
lowersensitivityis suitedfor achievingphotographswith high detailand high
picturequality.
The higherthe ISO number,the higherthe film'ssensitivity
to light. Filmwith a
high sensitivityreactsto smalleramountof light,so it is suitedfor taking
photographsin dark placeswith high shutterspeeds. However,the resulting
photographshave less detailand the color and tonal gradationsare less distinct
thanslowerspeedfilm.

The D-10 is a multifunctiontype data back that can be mountedin place of the
ContaxN1's cameraback. lt offersan "all imprint"functionfor imprintingall the
exposuredata on the first two framesof the film. lt can also be used with the
"between-frameimprint"functionfor imprintingdata such as the date and
exposureof the individualframes in the space betweenthe frames. These two
functionscan be used together.This makes it possibleto imprintthe exposure
data with the "all imprint"functionand the date and time or counternumber,
etc., with the "between-frameimprint"function.This data can be used to classify
the photographsand to store and organizethe exposuredata. The D-10 is also
equippedwith an intervalshootingfunction.
