Read this guide to familiarize yourself with the TrackMan Portable before setting it up the first time.

SETUP
REQUIREMENTS
You need the following equipment to run a pitching or hitting session:
• A recent Apple iPad running iOS11 or later (*)
• A tripod or fixed mount for the
TrackMan Portable.
You may use your own Tripod equipment. See Appendix for requirements

Ensure that the protection foam is attached properly.

MOUNTING ON
A TRIPOD
These instructions apply to the optional TrackMan Tripod Quick-start Kit:
• Assemble backing plate on the
TrackMan using 4 provided screws
• Assemble tripod-head quick release plate to the bottom of backing plate
• Fasten the tripod-head on the tripod.
• Mount the TrackMan with the quick release plate on the tripod. Push the tripod-head lever to ensure it is fully locked.

TRACKMAN
PLACEMENT
Place the TrackMan Portable anywhere in the marked area 6-12ft behind plate with unobstructed view to plate and mound. In a later step, the TrackMan Baseball App will guide you for detailed placement and height instructions.

TURN ON
THE POWER
Turn on the power by pressing and holding the power button for one second . The green light on the front of the B1 will flash when power has been initiated
Wait until Wi-Fi symbol lights solid blue (this may take up to 45 seconds)

INSTALL THE
TRACKMAN APP
You must be connected to the internet the first time you install and login to the TrackMan Baseball App.
• Install the App on your iPad: Use the link in the invitation email you received or search for “TrackMan
Baseball” on the Apple App Store.
• Login to the App with the account you created from the invitation email*
* Contact your TrackMan
Administrator if you did not receive an invitation email.

USING THE
TRACKMAN B1
• Open the TrackMan app and tap the
“new session” button in upper left corner to start a new practice session. The
App will guide you on how to connect and calibrate the TrackMan Portable.
• On the web login to http://teamportal.trackmanbaseball.com to view reports, manage your organization and more.
• Visit https://trackman.zendescom to view FAQs or contact support.

TRIPOD
REQUIREMENTS
You may use your own Tripod equipment instead of the TrackMan Tripod
Quick-start Kit. You’ll need:
• An adjustable Tripod head with a
3/8” screw. Trackman recommends the Manfrotto MHXPRO-3WG XPRO
Geared Head
A Tripod that meets these specs:
• Min. height: 54 in. (137 cm)
• Max. height: 108 in. (274 cm)
• Min. load capacity: 10 lbs. (4.5 kg)
