1 Hardware Information

Power connection of the digital photo frame:

100V AC to 240V AC DC 5V 1.2A

2 First Use

When the system is turned on for the first time, the screen will display the main menu for the user to select the desired function.

There are four icons of Photo, Calendar, Setting and Folder as shown below:

Press to choose corresponding icon. When it is chosen, the icon will become highlighted, press Ente r to enter the desired function, and Exit to back to the main menu.

The strorage media supported by digital photo frame include USB drives and SD/MMC/MS cards. Your digital photo frame can play the media formats are: JPEG and BMP.

3 Introduction of the Functions

The following is an introduction to the 4 functions in the main menu.

3.1 Photo

Choose “Photo” and press Enter to enter the card menu as followed:

If no media device (memory card or USB drive) is plugged in, there is only MEMORY highlighted in the four icons above. If a media device is plugged in, the corresponding icon will be highlighted. If multiple devices are plugged in, the one first plugged in will be highlighted. Use button to choose the corresponding icon.

Pressing the Enter button will display the photos automatically. If no corresponding files were found in the relevant device, it would display No Picture Found.

3.2 Calendar

Choose “Calendar”, press Enter to enter calendar interface as shown below. Press to adjust the month value, and press to adjust the year value. The time adjusted in Calendar cannot be saved unless it is adjusted in “Setting” mode.

3.3 Setting

The “Setting” mode allows the user to customize many features, including Language, Start-Up Mode,

Slideshow Interval Speed, Display Mode & Date and Time. Choose “Setting” and press Enter to enter the setting interface. Press button to choose the various features under the setting mode. Press button to select the different options or values which are available for the user. Press the Exit button to go back to the main menu.

An example of the Setting mode is shown below:

3.3.1 OSD Language

This feature allows the user to set the language to be used by the OSD (On Screen Display). The user can choose from: English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Greek and Russian.

3.3.2 Start-up Mode

The Start-up mode determines how your digital photo frame will function once it is turned on. The user can choose his preferred style for Start-up mode. A total of 3 styles are available to choose from: Function Select,

Slideshow and Calendar. The Function Select feature allows the user to manually control all functions. The

Slideshow mode automatically begins displaying images in a slideshow once the digital photo frame is turned on.

The Calendar mode displays a smaller slideshow inside a calendar.

3.3.3 Slideshow Speed

This feature is used for setting the interval time when displaying the photos. Sixteen options are available for the user to choose: 3sec, 5sec, 7sec, 10sec, 15sec, 20sec, 30sec, 1Min, 10Min, 30Min, 1hr, 2hr, 4hr, 8hr, 12hr and

1 Day.

3.3.4 Slideshow Effect

This feature is used for setting the mode of sequential play of photos, which includes the the different modes as below:

None, Zigzag Top, Zigzag Bottom, Box, Blinds (Left/Right), Shutter, Spiral, Split vertical out(TD), Split vertical out(Left/Right), Cross, Cross Comb, Stripe TD, Mask, Dissolve, Bar, Push (Left/Right), Diagonal (LB2RT),

Diagonal (RB2LT), Fade, Brick, Checker (Center), Stretch (TD) and Random

3.3.5 Play Mode

This feature is used for setting the play mode, which two options are available: Sequential and Random.

The Sequential play mode displays the images in sequence, as they are saved on your card. The Random play mode will randomly choose images to display.

3.3.6 Split Mode

The user can select the two display effects under this mode. While choosing the “Split” mode, the system will appear 4 photos in succession per page. When the frame is in “No Split” mode, the frame will display images normally and only one image is displayed on the screen, as shown below.

3.3.7 Display Mode

This feature is used for setting and selecting the photo show mode, under which two options are available for selection:”16:9”and”4:3”.

3.3.8 Time

This feature is used to select the date and time. The values that can be changed are: Year, Month, Date,

Hour and Minute. Press to choose the items, and then press to adjust the values.

3.3.9 Default

After selecting this option, all the settings will be reset to their initial system settings.

3.4 Folders

3.4.1 Photo Folders

The user can view photos from the desired photo folders under this function mode. After entering it, you can see the available device and its folder name list at top left corner, then you can select the desired device and photo folder by pressing the button, and Enter button to confirm your selection, while the right window will displays the photo list inside the folder, and the lower left hand corner will display a preview of the image and additional information on the image (size, the order of this file under this directory/the total number of files under this directory )will also be shown.

Once the user selects the photo from the file list in the right window, then pressing the Enter button, he can start viewing the full size photos from that point.

3.4.2 Choose Photos/Favorite Image

Your digital photo frame comes with 128MB of built-in memory, which allows you to store a favorite photo, or multiple photos. This feature allows the user to choose and copy the photos to built-in memory from connected device or to connected device from built-in memory mutually. And the user also can delete photos from the storage device or built-in memory.

Choose “Folder”, press Enter to enter folder interface, which displays device and route information in top left corner, picture preview in top left corner, and file information on the right. When multiple devices are plugged in, there will be a drop-down menu on screen to choose different ones.

Press button to choose the photos, After selecting the desired photo and pressing the button, a red double-arrow’s icon will be appeared in the right corner of the selected photo indicate that it has been chosen, The user can also cancel the selection by pressing the button again.

3.4.3 Copy Photos

After the user has finished selecting the picture, he may press and then press button to skip to the device select menu in top left corner. Then press the Enter button. Use the button to choose the devices as shown, and press the Enter button again. You will see a menu on the screen giving you the choice to paste the selected images or to delete them. Press the Enter button to paste the images, then press the Enter button again to confirm. You cannot copy within the sample.

3.4.4 Delete Photos

When selecting the photos, you can also delete them from a storage device or built-in memory.

To delete, press button to choose the photos, After selecting the desired photo and pressing the button, a red double-arrow’s icon will be appeared in the right corner of the selected photo indicate that it has been chosen. Once you have selected your photos, press the Enter button. You will see a menu on the screen giving you the choice to paste the selected images or to delete them. Press button to choose Delete

Selection and press Enter. After selecting the desired photos, press the Enter button to delete the images, and then press the Enter button again to confirm.

4. Basic Operation

4.1 Powering On and Powering Off

After your digital photo frame is properly installed and the power cable is plugged into the power socket, the system will be turned on when the button on the remote is pressed. Likewise, by pressing the button again, the system will be turned off.

4.2 Pause Playing

After entering the photo mode, it can be paused by press the Enter button. Pressing the Enter button again it will resume the normal play.

4.3 Skip to the Next Photo

Under the play mode and Pause mode, pressing the key will skip to the next photo.

4.4 Skip to the Previous Photo

Under the play mode and pause mode, pressing the key will skip to the previous photo.

4.5 Select Show Type

When the system is playing photos, pressing the / button, the user could switch the display mode of the screen and two modes are available for selection: 16:9 and 4:3. Selecting the 16:9 modes will display the full screen. If

4:3 is selected, black stripes will appear on both sides of the screen.

4.6 Rotating the Photos

The up arrow key and button allow the user rotates the image to the right (anti-clockwise) 90 degrees when playing the photos. As shown in the following continuous images, the head of the car rotates clockwise and remain unchanged when push the / button four times.

4.7 Enlarging and Shrinking an Image

When you are playing a photo:

Pressing Enter button first time enlarges the size to 150%

Pressing Enter button the second time enlarges the size to 200%;

Pressing Enter button the third time reduces the size to 25%

Pressing Enter button the fourth time reduces the size to 50%

Pressing Enter button the fifth time resumes the normal size of the image (100%).

4.8 Thumbnail Mode

While viewing photos, when the user presses the View button, the system enters the “Thumbnail Mode”.

When the system enters the “Thumbnail Mode”, a total of 8 thumbnails will be displayed, allowing the user to browse the images in the directory easily. After the user has selected the images to be viewed, press the Enter button to enter the “Slide Show Mode”.

This Sunpak digital photo frame has been carefully manufactured, accurately adjusted, inspected and thoroughly tested before shipment to assure you of the highest quality. Should this Sunpak product require service, we will repair or replace, at our option, any part, or the product itself, which our examination shows to be defective in material or workmanship. This warranty does not apply to wear and tear associated with the normal use of the product. This warranty is non-transferable.

Repairs will be made to the product at no charge, under the terms of the warranty as stated above, only when accompanied by a copy of your dated and itemized sales receipt. Be certain to follow all assembly and/or operating instruction with this product.

This warranty is not valid if the product has been misused or damaged in any way that is beyond our control or through normal wear and tear associated with its use. This warranty only applies to the product and we are not responsible in any way for losses, damages or any inconvenience caused by equipment failure.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which may vary from state to state.

Should service be required, the product should be carefully packed and sent pre-paid and insured along with a check or money order for $9.95 for shipping and handling to the address listed below. A note describing the nature of the defect should be enclosed to expedite handling. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) and payment for shipping and handling must be included for all warranty repairs.
