Loading of the 24-position centrifuge rack
This information specifically refers to the usage of 24-position centrifuge racks and is an addition to section 3.3.9 in the operator’s manual.
NOTICE
Damage to the system due to displaced spring insets
The gripper in the sorting area of the subsequent system may crash into the tube in cases where the spring insets of a 24-position centrifuge rack are displaced.
•
Do not use a 24-position centrifuge rack with displaced spring insets.
•
Avoid empty rack positions during centrifugation.
When a Hettich stand-alone centrifuge and 24-position centrifuge racks
(RD ID 06623611001) are used, make sure that:
•
24-position centrifuge racks are fully loaded for centrifuging.
•
Balance tubes are used to fill empty rack positions.
Placement of barcode labels on sample tubes intended for the 24position centrifuge rack
This information about the placement of barcode labels specifically refers to the usage of
24-position centrifuge racks and is an addition to the information in section 1.6.3 of the operator’s manual.
When a Hettich stand-alone centrifuge and 24-position centrifuge racks
(RD ID 06623611001) are used, make sure that:
•
No sample tubes that are covered with more than 3 layers of label are used.
•
Labels run the length of the tube and are parallel to the tube edge.
•
The labels are applied smoothly, without dog-eared corners, wrinkles, or edges that stick out.
